Heads up that I'm gonna be remaking this blog.

The more I think about things the more I realize that I'd really prefer making my art blog my main thing and have my personal blog be a side thing. It's both an organization thing and a self care thing.

The new blog exists, but I want to make a back log so I don't make the switch and have fuck nothing to show for it.

Which idea do you guys think works better for Paragon armor?

**1. All Paragons can summon body armor as a universal ability, just like their ability to heal wounds.**

Cons:

-my story becomes more of a Kamen Rider rip off.

-I'd have to give Kithri a slightly different list of feats. Maybe she makes mechs.

-I'd have to retool my idea of a metal made from meteroic iron and the crushed bones of dead holy men.

Pros:

-my story becomes more of a Kamen Rider rip off.

-I can introduce elements of body horror and transformation, something I'm already touching upon with paragons having their appearances change as they grow in power.

-Makes the idea of people running around in powered plate armor in a recovering apocalypse setting less of a logistical nightmare.

-I can frame the armor as both armor and as "an effigy of their god"

-while I prefer more practical armor design, I can sneak in more organic design elements.

2. Paragon armor is built by a third party, but each paragon can "bind" their armor via manipulating their control over the chorus, so they can summon said armor at will.

Cons:

-gotta figure out where the hell they keep the damn things when not in use.

Pros:

-Kithri gets to be more important in her role as the wondersmith.

-I can still do the mutating armor trope with minimal change to explanations.

I have thought of another pro for "armor as a normal power" option:

-The armor is always there. That means even if the paragon is "unarmored", any use of their power would summon pieces of the armor. Healing someone? Your arm is a guantlet. Deflecting one specific attack just to flex? Singular gorget against plain clothing.

Runic magic is potent but hard to master, as even one miswritten letter can cause a spell to go haywire.

Despite this, there are still witches determined enough to use such spellcraft even in the heat of battle.

I actually don't care for vampires that much. There have been, currently are, and always will be interesting stories about vampires, but the monster in a vacuum does not pull me as much as, say, a werewolf could.

Trying to get into making mind maps before I draw new characters. Honestly helps a lot.

Current roadblocks to comic making (aside from writing a script I'll actually like) include whether or not I want to do a page layout or a scrolling format.

Personally, I'm a tad old school. I love page layouts, especially playing with panels. I also think a vast majority of action/fight scenes look better on page instead of scrolling format (outside of very specific comics that play with the scrolling format to its full potential, like Shogunned on webtoons).

However, a lot of comic readers read on their phones these days, and scrolling format does make that easier.

Something I've been considering is drawing in page format and chopping it up into scrolling for platforms like Webtoons
