stank twins
(ignore the last question)
Omg how do you think Stan will make them codependent again? Mb he'll drive Ford to the point he's lashing out on everyone and they end up not liking him and Stan is like "oh don't listen to them. They just don't know you how I do. Even if the whole world is against you I'll always be by your side. Wherever we go we go together^^"
Yeah :)
They were codependent as kids and Stan knows part of that was due to not having anyone else to rely on. It was just him and Ford against the world. So Stan just plans for it to be like that again.
Half of him is proud to see that his brother did manage to make a friend and flourish without him. The other half is frothing at the mouth that Ford did so well without him. That’s not how it’s supposed to go! >:(
Stan, through gritted teeth: oh, you made a friend, Ford? That’s so… nice.
But yes Ford is lashing out just because of his frustration with Stan being there and ignoring his boundaries. It makes him irritable, which makes him snappish with strangers. (Which gives Stan the opportunity to intervene and assert himself as the Nice Twin, thereby inclining the gravity falls public to be on his side.) Ford also complains about his Stan problem to his family and Fiddleford, and when they seem like they’re siding with Stan, or telling him to calm down, Ford lashes out at them too.
So Ford ends up kind of pushing people away because of his reactions to the situation. Stan allows this to play out, because the less friendly Ford gets with others, the more he only has Stan to turn to.
Through this all, Stan slowly transitions himself into being more helpful and reliable, someone Ford can depend on when he has no one else. At the start, Stan was lazy and rude and unhelpful. Couch potato unwanted roommate who won’t pay rent. But as Ford gets more frustrated and frazzled over time, Stan begins to set himself up as a source of help.
He brings Ford coffee and reminds him to take breaks. He starts actually tidying up sometimes and cooking meals, sharing the chores with Ford so that Ford feels less burdened with everything. He makes sure Ford sleeps and showers and remembers to eat. When Ford seems stressed, Stan directs him to journal his day, which Ford has always found comforting, or cracks jokes he knows Ford will find funny.
And then at some point, when Ford has started getting used to all that, Stan takes it away again. He leaves a note on the table one night, telling Ford that he’s gotta go for a few days but he’ll be back. Ford thinks “good riddance” at first. But after day one, he quickly realizes just how much he’d come to rely on Stan again. How there seems to be so much more to do now without someone else helping out, how he forgets to eat until he feels weak, then goes into the kitchen and realizes he actually has to cook for himself.
How empty the house feels without the background noise of someone else moving around and living there. How lonely he feels without another presence. This Ford has never really lived alone, after all. He went from his family home to university where he roomed with Fiddleford for all his school years, then as soon as he moved to Gravity Falls, Stan showed up. He’s never been truly alone before.
He doesn’t like it :( And being alone makes him realize that… he doesn’t have any other friends. He doesn’t know anyone in town well, and they all seem to like Stan much better than him. Fiddleford is too far away for regular visits, and he hasn’t seen his parents in person for a while now.
Ford is lonely. He’s so used to having someone by his side, wanted or not, that it’s jarring to be alone. He finds himself wishing for Stan to come back faster. But a few days pass, and Stan never shows up.
Then a few more days, and still no Stan.
Ford finds himself with increasing anxiety. He doesn’t know why. He should be happy Stan is gone. It’s what he wanted all this time, isn’t it? He’s been complaining and rude to his brother and—oh no. What if Stan had had enough of him? What if Ford had finally pushed him away too? Pushed away the person who knew him better than anyone and still accepted him. What if—
And then Stan comes back :)
Ford is so relieved he greets his brother warmly and hugs him. Stan holds him back, smirking over his shoulder while apologizing for being longer than he’d said.
But it’s true what they say, that absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Stan makes promises like:
“I’ll never leave you, don’t worry.”
“I’d never abandon you, Ford.”
“Even if others don’t like you, I’ll always love you.”
“I’m the only one who really knows you, and we’ll always stick together, won’t we?”
Stan works subtly to transition Ford from “I” thinking to “we” thinking. So instead of Ford thinking like “I should go check out that shimmery pond in the forest” he naturally starts thinking “We should go check out that pond.” Until Ford stops thinking as independently and thinks more in a collective, “Stan and I” pattern. Until not including Stan in his activities is unthinkable. They have to do everything together, grocery shopping, research expeditions, any appointments. It’s always together.
And Stan loves it. He doesn’t care if they aren’t doing anything important. He doesn’t care if it’s just that Ford needs him to come with him to the mall because he refuses to go alone. Stan will always come along. He just wants to be with his brother :) doesn’t matter what they’re doing.
Sure would be nice to go sailing someday though.

How do you suppose the Gift twins would react to Stan^4
(Stan^4 by @thoughtless-in-space)
So many Stan’s and Ford’s. Gift Stan just wants to leave them to their mess until he sees the Ford’s hurt. Then he’s 🥺🥺 This is what happens to versions of his brother when Ford isn’t evil and doesn’t choose to join Bill? Hatred for Bill magnified.
Also maybe a little “why can’t my Ford be less evil and more like these Ford’s? These Ford’s seem nice.” Although a little awkward if teen or paranoid Ford show any sort of resentment to him, because Gift Stan is only used to his Ford showing him smothering amounts of love. He doesn’t really know what to do with a Ford who maybe doesn’t like him.
Gift Ford is butting into everyone’s business. If he learns Bill threatened the Stan’s he’s not happy. He likes Grunkle Ford. Look at this feral guy, doing his best to protect Stanley :) what a good Ford—hey! No biting >:(
Each Stan gets their turn being cooed over because they’ve been through “something so so scary” and big brother has to comfort them so they feel better :)
He doesn’t understand why the Ford’s won’t just open the portal and let Bill in though. Take advantage of the situation, guys! Bill can give you power and everything you want. Oh, did he try to kill Stan? This Bill can rot then :)
The youngest Stan’s get fretted over the most. Gift Ford is picking them up and cuddling kid and teen Stan and telling them how wonderful they are and how nothing is their fault, they don’t know any better, and it’s all okay because big brother will help now. He tells Mullet and Grunkle Stan this as well, and is very happy to see how close the Grunkle twins are.
If Bill shows up possessing anyone Gift Ford could take care of it easily. Bill doesn’t have the same powers without his own physical form in the world, so he’s not much threat compared to what Gift Ford can do.
Hello I am summoned✨
HFHSHHDJFGHSGDJG it’s an insane experience that someone sent an ask about my guys here. THEY’VE BREACHED CONTAINMENT!!! But oh boy this is so fun and interesting so I’m gonna drop my takes on the responses to the Gifties.
Grunkle Ford. HATES Gift Ford from the moment he learned he sided with Bill. He starts off very formal and Ford-ly but he slowly becomes more detached and quiet the more Gift Ford reveals… the way he is. Until he’s full on snarling in warning any time Gift Ford gets too close to one of the Stans. Sure, gift Ford has powers, but this Ford is one who went toe to toe with Bill at full power in the nightmare realm and won and was just about to kill him. If Gift Ford steps out of line at all he will happily inform him of this fact (out of earshot of anyone whose memories Bill could infiltrate. He might also tell him that they successfully killed Bill in his timeline and if he wants to avoid the same fate he will Behave.) Literally if he crosses any boundary he will have to contend with the risk of having his throat ripped out by teeth.
Grunk Stan is pretty yikes about everything and gives Gift Stan bad (good?) life advice. Talks about how sick it is that he’s equals with his Ford and if he learns anything about his situation he’s gonna give him the extra 30 years of advice on ‘conning’ him that he’s familiar with.
Every Ford (and tbh most Stans) are immediately like. This guy is in a situation (pointing at Gift Stan) and there’s a universal urge to adopt / protect him from Gift Ford. Grunk Ford is mentally cataloguing ways to work around the soul tether thing. It’s a whole thing.
I think teen and Paranoia Ford’s would be kind of confused by Gift Stan and the way he’s a bit of a softer touch than their own. It’ll be uncomfortable interacting but not like… outright dislike. If they catch a single whiff of his situation as I say that awkwardness goes out of the way of we need to Help This Guy.
Obviously probably not able to happen but hey a Ford can dream.
I think kid Stan gets that affection and is initially like oh yeah cool but once he catches on to the absolute Rancid Vibes™️ and tension of everyone else (Stan’s pretty emotionally in tune) it’s sort of like. Hm. Who is this guy touching me actually. I think teen Stan who’s also desperate for validation is willing to put up with a bit more (probably the most out of everyone) with Gift Ford and overlook more red flags. Mullet Stan is in a weird space because he is like yeah brotherly love is great but (uncomfortably peers at his alternate self) … that’s not. Fab.
Grunk Stan is however absolutely not gonna take being called the younger brother and will slap him with a ‘kid I’m old enough to be yer dad’. If he keeps doing it he’ll sic Grunk Ford on him. Absolutely no to any touching or affection. He’s more sympathetic to Gift Ford than Grunk Ford is but that is. Not a high bar HDHSJFF
If he does assist with a possession event… that does win him some brownie points. Giving him a chance to show he’ll protect a Stan will ease the other Ford’s up… up to a certain extent. Grunk Ford is tense about the way he’s possessive of Stanley as a whole and he has one hand on his gun basically at all times because he trusts NOTHING Bill-related.
Gift Ford approves of Grunkle Ford’s protectiveness of the Stan’s. What a good big brother, watching over them so closely :) He asks Grunkle Ford if he’s trying to make up for be willing to sacrifice his Stan to defeat their Bill, and tells him he can’t kill Gift Ford without it also killing Gift Stan.
“You would be subjecting him to a slow, agonizing, cruel death. Do you want that?” Gift Ford’s expression darkens. “Do you want that?”
If Grunkle Ford gives any indication of being okay with Gift Stan’s death then Gift Ford’s rage explodes. As it is, if Grunkle Ford attempts any intimidation by getting close in Gift Ford’s space, Gift Ford just telekinetically picks him up and sets him down a few feet away each time. But as long as Grunkle Ford doesn’t do anything that would threaten Gift Stan, Gift Ford is not hostile to him. He likes this Ford, even if he is unreasonable sometimes.
The Gift twin’s soul situation is something that could only be changed by the axolotl itself. (Though GoG Stan might be able to alter it to an extent.)
But Gift Ford is pleased to see how the other Ford’s seem to like and want to help his Stan. Of course they like his Stan. His Stan is the best of all Stan’s! :)
I love the kids picking up on the vibes lmao. Gift Ford really does have Rancid Vibes. He exudes some level of “predator” and causes most humans to get the uncanny valley feeling around him. It’s usually fairly lowkey because Gift Ford reigns himself in, but he can push that aura out and make it stronger at will (or when he loses control and gets mad).
Grunkle Stan is still getting called little brother regardless and Mr “lack of boundaries and won’t take no for answer” wants a hug. He needs to hug every Stan in the room :( and show them he loves them.
Gift Stan is torn between pleading with Grunkle Stan to just let Gift Ford hug him once, and pleading with Gift Ford to back off because Grunkle Ford is looming nearby. There’s also a chance that, if Gift Stan senses tension from Grunkle Ford, it triggers his fawn response to try and stop Grunkle Ford from getting mad. Running up to him and throwing his arms around him with big sad eyes and saying, “oh, please don’t be upset, big brother? 🥺”
The other problem here is if Grunkle Ford and Gift Ford did get into some sort of physical altercation, it might set off Gift Stan 😔 Because Gift Stan. Can be just as possessive and obsessive of his twin as Gift Ford is of him, he just won’t admit it. The difference between them is that Gift Ford is a control freak with a personality disorder and no morals, and Gift Stan isn’t. So Gift Stan doesn’t display those traits the way Gift Ford does. The latent genes lurk within him though. They just have to be provoked by specific situations.
Gift Stan will help his brother if Gift Ford gets attacked. Even if he has no particular skills or powers and might not actually be helpful, their shared soul influences the Gift twins to protect each other from threat. Gift Stan might be in A Situation with his Ford and wish things were different, but an attack on Gift Ford could potentially trigger a deep rage within Gift Stan that he isn’t actually aware he has. The split soul’s defence mechanism to keep itself alive.
But this also ends altercations fast because if Gift Stan gets involved, it activates Gift Ford’s “Stan might get hurt!” worry and Gift Ford will end a fight, grab Stan and leave in order to keep his Stan safe. Afterwards, Gift Stan is shocked at himself for reacting that way. He had no idea that kind of rage was even in him, as he’s been conditioned to think himself too helpless and useless to try and help his big brother in a fight.
HDHSJJFG If Gift Ford says that to Grunk Ford it will not go down well but more importantly any attempts to guilt Grunk Ford will trigger Grunk Stan’s protectiveness and he might throw a (quite painful!) punch. This Stan understands his Ford’s mental processes very well and effectively immediately lifts his Ford away from that convo and works his own Stan magic to look after / help calm and reassure him in a scene which is both more healthy but also looks like a flipped version of how Gift Ford treats his Stan.
Telling Grunk Ford that killing Gift Ford would kill Gift Stan would admittedly get him to back down a little, but only a little. It would devolve his threats from I’ll kill you to I will make it HURT. Gift Ford doesn’t need both his arms, right? Whilst Gift Ford has more power and is generally a bit messed up, Grunk Ford has been desensitised and familiarised with just about every abhorrent thing you can do to a person in the multiverse and has the scars to prove it. There are far worse things you can do to an enemy than killing them.
HDHHWJDHDF GoG mention imagine appealing to your alternate deity self like uhhh heyyy anything you can do about this maybeee…? Would Gift Ford be happy if GoG Stan handled it because it means his brother is safe in the event something happened to him, or mad/upset because it makes his Stan less dependent on him/he perceives it as making them less “close”?
FHSHDJDHF Mr. “Off-Putting to kids” 😭😭 the older 2 Fords might want to research that had they met under different circumstances.
Yeah no, Grunk Stan will only take so much of being called that before he does something to get him to back off. If he invades his personal space, Grunkle Stan will employ a very efficient method his brother taught/gave him called ‘multiversal taser’ calibrated to a high setting. Despite the gap in feral to not feral, both Grunks are on equal footing on the ‘not fucking around’ front.
See the thing about Gift Stan fawning to Grunk Ford is that depending on how upset he is in the current situation he is effectively fawning to. A Tiger. Who does not speak English. But does usually have protective instincts over Stan, so depending on the situation, because he perceives Gift Ford as a threat the ‘scruff him and take him to a safe location’ instinct might take over.
I think Grunk Stan might need to be the between man for this situation that effectively communicates. Hey. This is a trauma / survival instinct that [Gift Ford] is setting off. This guy was tortured literally every way humanly imaginable and also non humanly imaginable. If anyone gets mad at his Ford for being feral he will be very staunchly defensive of him as though it’s a personal offence. He would not spare either Gift Sibling the details because he wants them to know just how severely Bill fucked this variant of his brother over and why seeing a version of himself who is very clearly part-Bill will set off a LOT of processes.
I think a physical altercation may not be able to get very far because Grunk Stan (and maybe some of the other ^4 Stans) would be trying to calm Grunk Ford down. Stan can communicate with him to a degree when he’s feral so he’ll be trying to vocalise to him that this isn’t a great idea.
But also if Gift Stan tries to join in there’s a degree of hesitation on that front as well, which given that everyone is pretty protective of him, there’s a much greater pooled effort in trying to calm down the Tiger.
I think Grunk Stan would have a go at Gift Ford for provoking his brother that badly just because he couldn’t listen to basic requests not to do xyz.
There’s the real risk that if they upset Grunk Stan too much he might have a memory lapse to a traumatic Stan incident (which tbf Gift Stan may recognise the exact memory of depending on when it’s set) which is…,.. a whole other can of worms.
I don’t see a situation where Gift Stan is in any real danger but boy is Grunk Ford scary when he means to be. His teeth are a bit inhuman, he gets a faraway look in his eye and if he gets severely injured he just… ignores it. Tbh Gift Stan may recognise that look on a guy given his own experiences as ‘this is a person who feels like they are backed into a corner and is about to lash out in order to survive’. The same sort of grim determination which makes a guy chew his way out of a trunk, for instance. Gift Ford is acting as his ‘Rico’ in this scenario.
If Grunk Stan does punch, Gift Ford is too durable to be harmed by regular human strength (Gift Stan has punched him a few times without effect) but he might pretend to be hurt by it just so Grunk Stan feels accomplished. The taser on the other hand, being made for multiverse/inhuman beings, would hurt him. And then piss him off.
Gift Ford post taser would exude that “danger-predator” aura for a minute (that Grunk Ford is probably mostly immune to) before reigning his control in again because he won’t hurt a Stan. But he also won’t be tricked twice! Jail for Grunk Stan for a thousand years! (Gift Ford telekinetically yanks the taser away and floats Grunk Stan into a corner to “sit there and think about what you’ve done, baby brother.”)
Gift Stan is anxiously chewing his nails watching his twin piss off a room full of themselves 😔 He’d also be absolutely horrified and sick to his stomach if Grunk Stan shared what Grunk Ford has been through.
Gift Ford is just annoyed that they upset his sensitive baby brother by telling him that. He is unaffected by Grunk Ford’s threats or what he’s experienced. Gift Ford is incapable of putting himself in another’s shoes, and is only able to feel real empathy when it involves Gift Stan (because of the soul bond). Even with the rest of the Pines family, Gift Ford is only acting out empathy and compassion towards them, not actually feeling it.
If those horrible things had happened to Grunk Stan, Gift Ford might feel a pang of something about it, but another Ford he’s just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Gift Ford himself has inflicted gruesome inhumane tortures and experiments on other beings. He just has not told Gift Stan about any of that because he knows Gift Stan would be horrified.
Grunk Ford: step out of line and lose your arms.
Gift Ford: lmao yeah okay. Let’s trade torture techniques! :) you probably know so many from your travels! Tell me :)
The way threats work on Gift Ford is not because they make him wary for his own sake, but because he’s always thinking about Gift Stan. A threat to Gift Ford’s wellbeing could affect Gift Stan and his ability to protect his little brother, so Gift Ford takes threats into account for that reason. He would be more reckless with himself otherwise.
If Grunk Stan steps in to calm Grunk Ford, Gift Stan (if there’s no violence happening) might take it upon himself to calm his own twin with his ultimate trump card that he’s very embarrassed to pull. He tells the others to not stare at or judge him. Then he works himself up into the biggest, blubbery crying fit he can, whining about how big brother is upsetting him and how scared he is and how he wishes big brother would stop.
This works every time at the cost of Gift Stan’s pride because Gift Ford will switch to “poor baby brother” mode and try to calm him down. (Gift Stan finds the whole thing rather humiliating, he won’t be able to look anyone in the eye for a while after.)
Gift Stan would absolutely be scared of Grunk Ford going feral though, because for him an angry Ford is a bad Ford. He is usually doing whatever he can to avoid an angry Ford. If Gift Stan did get involved in a physical fight between the Ford’s, it’s like a mouse inserting itself between fighting cats :( not going well for him, even if he can’t help his own response to it.
But oof, if Grunk Stan had a memory episode, Gift Stan would be freaking out because he knows Gift Ford would immediately try the “poor baby brother” coddling thing in response, and Gift Stan is aware that that will not go well. He’d be trying to distract Gift Ford so he doesn’t crowd Grunk Stan.
He himself would want to check and see if Grunk Stan is okay, but by that point Gift Stan is probably trying to convince his twin to leave. The tension between Grunk and Gift Ford is too much for him and he wants to go. All “Please please please can we just leave now, big brother? I’m tired and want to go home :(”
I think the Gift twins would be weird about their soul bond actually changing. To sever it entirely in a way where both twins can survive with no connection between them is probably something the Axolotl itself would have to do, but I think GoG Stan would be able to alter the bond and change how it works. Gift Ford would be interested if he could do anything about them being able to be long distances from each other or in separate dimensions.
But if GoG Stan did mess with the bond, there’s a good chance that even if the Gift twins requested it, they’d both freak upon having it done because now things feel different and it’s not right. This is not how they’re supposed to be. Something is different, something is wrong, something is missing that they can’t feel anymore.
It could work but also could drive both of their mental health off the cliff from not being able to feel or access the bond anymore 🙂↕️
Huge fan of how quickly everything falls apart the moment the Gift twins encounter a functional family 😭
I like to imagine Stan having one of those absurd character things where he’s got a disproportionate amount of weapons on him in increasingly unlikely places. This is not the only time Gift Ford gets tased if he keeps it up doesn’t matter how many of them he takes off him HDHSJHFJSHF /j but also low-key he would
Grunk Stan, fed up to all hell with Gift Ford not gaf about anything his brother has gone through, immediately dives into a dramatic retelling of weirdmageddon where Bill planned to torture him and Dipper and Mabel, including the ‘I got some children I need to turn into corpses’ spiel and recounts how monstrous Bill looked with an annoyed half-feigned ‘ohhh nooo he was so scary. You get it yet?’ -_-
HFHSHDKHDBFBF Gift Stan and the No-good very bad day of having to be pathetic as hell to manipulate his brother 😭😭 his embarrassment is low-key warranted because every Stan cringes low-key at it and every Ford is deeply concerned that it works. They all keep glancing sideways at him afterwards. They’re not saying anything but like. They would never do that.
It might actually trigger more protective instincts though because it’s like. Holy shit dude this is what you gotta do?? It really amplifies the ‘held at gunpoint’ energy this guy exudes 😭😭 blink twice if you need help babygirl
Grunk Stan will also be eager to avoid a confrontation, but part of it is because he does not want the younger Ford’s and Stan’s present to witness what his brother is capable of. There’s also the risk which comes with fighting with fire which is primarily an issue because Grunk Ford’s freak everyone out so badly that frankly it makes the younger kids barf. That and like Hm he’s not certain the power level of Gift Ford. Not that he’s doubting his brother. He watched that guy mutilate himself and dislocate every joint in his body to crawl through tight vents in order to stop Bill holding a gun to his head. Then he got shot and still got up and walked away and pushed all his joints back into place. He’s not actually sure if anything CAN stop his Ford. I was writing this out as an explanation but I’m half imagining Grunk Stan casually explaining it sideways to Gift Stan whilst they watch on the sidelines as Ford’s have a (small, less serious) catfight or argument or whatever lmao.
If Gift Stan gets too upset about Grunk Ford being angry he will try and reassure him a bit that yeah Ford’s just naturally a hothead but that’s more adrenaline than anything and it’s because he’s frightened more than anything. Plus he’s completely not a threat to Stan specifically. He did try to maim his teenager and 80s self from their own dimension though so. Frankly he’s showing a lot of restraint right now to Gift Ford he’s wayyyyy worse than those guys.
Hightailing it out there is probably good for him, though if they did stay I think Grunk Ford would shove Gift Ford away and use his very genuine and efficient psychological methods to help being Grunk Stan back to the moment (yknow. Instead of purposefully leaving him vulnerable and dependent and all that) and doesn’t demean him at all and treats him with respect and all that.
HDHSHJDHSF very fair. Tbf I think GoG Stan would be uncomfortable with it to begin with. The more uncomfortable option is that since his power is reverting things to their natural state / original / proper state (Avatar of Order) he’s more likely to instead accidentally re-combine their soul / combine them into one if he attempted to mess around with it too much. Really if they wanted to change it, GoG Ford (Avatar of Chaos) makes more ‘changes’ to things. But you’d probably need to charge him up with a lot of emotion. Presuming they don’t want him to destroy the bond, they’d want to make him very happy and he may be able to ‘create’ something on/in the bond. For better or for worse lmao.
Admittedly, GoG Ford is much much harder to seek out and find but Gift Ford has about as good a shot as anyone does given they’re both Bill-charged Fords.
This turns into a comedy scene now. Gift Ford holds Grunk Stan frozen in place telekinetically while he pulls weapons off his person so Grunk Stan can’t attack him with anything. Except no matter how many he pulls there’s always more?? Where are they all coming from? The amount doesn't even make logical sense to be able to hide on his person. How is he doing this??
This all ends when Gift Stan, intrigued by the weapons Grunk Stan carries around, picks one up off the floor and runs away to examine it. Gift Ford drops Grunk Stan to chase his twin in worry, all “Stanley, drop that! You’ll hurt yourself!”
But Gift Ford would be fascinated to hear about how weirdmageddon went down in a different universe. He’s mostly blank faced but goes 🥺 every time Grunk Stan mentions himself and something he went through.
Grunk Stan: Bill was going to kill Dipper and Mabel.
Gift Ford: Who???
Gift Stan once again looks horrified by it, and Gift Ford puts his hands over his twin’s ears or sends him away so he doesn’t have to hear it. He would scold Grunk Stan for upsetting Gift Stan but he himself really wants to hear how another Bill conducted weirdmageddon in a universe without Ford on his side.
He still does not get it 😔 but at the end of Grunk Stan’s retelling, Gift Ford gives a critique of Grunk Bill’s techniques and a “well if he tried to harm you (Grunk Stan) then he got what was coming to him.”
Gift Stan post humiliating manipulation tactic is more embarrassed by the other Stan’s seeing it than the Ford’s. If anyone tries to ask about it or confront him about it Gift Stan gets avoidant and red in the face from humiliation and just mutters, “what else am I supposed to do? He doesn’t see me as his equal anyway. I just play into what he wants from me and then I might get what I want too. It’s fine. At least I know he loves me.”
Grunk Stan casually boasting about his brother and Gift Stan is biting his nails 😭 because the more he hears the more he does not want to see a fight between their Ford’s. And he loves his brother but he knows Gift Ford will, the longer they stay, likely just continue to unknowingly piss off Grunk Ford.
Which is probably what’s happening the in the argument lmao. Gift Ford doesn’t care about other people’s boundaries and can’t read people well, so he irritates Grunk Ford without realizing it, and then gets offended when Grunk Ford gets mad at him. Very “what have I even done?”
But Gift Stan is very sympathetic to Grunk Ford and what he’s been through (and to paranoid Ford and what he’s going through with Bill). He understands trauma and fear responses, unlike Gift Ford who doesn’t. He tells Grunk Stan he’ll try and convince Gift Ford to leave with him, and apologizes for the trouble his brother has caused (all out of earshot of Gift Ford of course).
Oough yeah if GoG Stan mentioned he might end up combining them because of how his powers work Gift Ford would decline entirely. Their original, proper state was supposed to be one person, but the twins don’t want to unite their soul like that and lose each other. That’s why Gift Bill hasn’t tried to mess around with that, because souls are not his area and he can’t predict what the result would be.
But Gift Ford would be too wary of GoG Ford’s unpredictable powers and lack of control to go to him about it. He might have the best shot out of anyone besides the axolotl, but Gift Ford is too worried about something going wrong.
He’s only kind of a Bill-charged Ford though, since his power is innate to him and doesn’t rely on Bill. He’s more just a Bill-aligned Ford :) The ritual Bill did required a sacrifice to work, so Bill gave a small part of himself to fuel the ritual, which is why Ford’s powers are similar to Bill’s. But Ford transformed into another type of being, whatever one wants to call it: godhood, demon, eldritch entity. Stan is his remaining tether to his humanity :)
JFJDGSJHFF Genre shift. Stan will be voicing his displease THE ENTIRE TIME this is occurring. He doesn’t mince his words, he thinks it’s weird that Gift Ford treats his Stan like a child despite the fact that he knows that guy has killed people.
At that point yeah Grunk Stan is giving up 😭😭 this guy is impossible and nothing gets through to him. He won’t hesitate to tell Gift Stan as such or offer him condolences for it. HDKHSJDJDJDF he probably indulges Gift Ford’s curiosity a bit but only because it gets the dude to shut the fuck up about Stan for a moment.
I can only imagine Gift Stan gets a few pats on the back for that one 😭😭 he’s literally constantly just triggering everyone’s ‘adopt this man’ instinct because none of them want him to have to deal with thissss.
HDJSHBSJDJDFJ Yeah no. Grunk Stan will be like that’s fair my Ford is a killing machine and I don’t know that yours knows how to properly fight beyond just using powers. Don’t worry though, I’ll hold him back if things get too crazy I know that shit would hurt you too. Still, are you sure you don’t want that guy missing an arm or something? May make it easier for you to get what you want and all. More equal and stuff.
Gift Ford is doing the equivalent of repeatedly poking a tiger with a stick then being like >:00 WTF whenever it growls at him. Grunk Ford will happily tell him he’s the dumbest Ford variant he’s ever encountered.
I think Grunk Stan both appreciates and worried for the kid a bit. He’ll slip him one of those multiversal tasers (which he still has one of because Gift Ford did not in fact manage to get them all) ‘for emergencies’.
Yeah no, GoG Stan wouldn’t be keen to try it either. The idea of combining two guys is messed up as it is. For him, the background noise of particles that want to be a certain way bugs him and there’s this constant small buzzing between the two halves of the soul that his brain had an itch to fix but he is very much ignoring.
Extremely fair. GoG Ford, as much as he is a lovely and sweet Ford variant with the capacity for a lot of power, is also a walking atom bomb. He’s exceptionally powerful as Fords go and periodically becomes far more powerful with enough emotions charging it. I’d honestly be surprised if Gift Ford wanted himself or Gift Stan around GoG Ford at all once he learns what he’s capable of. GoG Ford rarely does things fully intentionally, it’s always at least partly his subconscious or emotions acting out in some manner or other.
Ooh yes, very interesting. I do wonder because GoG Stan…. Restores things to their original states. It would be really funny (In a non canon hypothetical) for GoG Stan to get annoyed at Gift Ford for whatever reason (like maybe the way he treats his Stan or whatever) and just decides. Yknow what. Fuck it.
Sort of like Avatar when Aang removes Ozai’s firebending. Just. Undoes the demon transformation. Fuck you, you’re a regular human again now. Think about what you’ve done >:/
Gift Ford: don’t be silly, I don’t treat my Stanley like a child.
Grunk Stan: *press X to doubt meme*
Gift Ford: he’s just fragile and sensitive. And my sweet baby brother has never killed anyone, right, Stanley? :)
Gift Stan: *sweats*
Gift Ford: right? :):)
Gift Stan: well, there was an accident with just one guy—
Gift Ford: oh, my poor baby brother! That must’ve been so scary for you! 🥺
Grunk Stan: *looking into the camera like he’s on the office*

Ten Normal Things You Can Do with Your Vampire Friends (Without Hitting the Club)
@dartann My friend, we could only HOPE that they were gay for each other. That would be so much more normal than whatever the fuck they're currently doing. They're on some Blade shit. Stan is Bill's Pet Best Friend/Attack Dog and Bill is the closest thing to a friend Stan currently has, so he's lowered his standards to avoid being homeless and alone.
