I am assuming that the pink-and-black-with-bat-wings tea set is supposed to be MINE. MINE, MINE, MINE.

Uh oh, looks like some of the lil’ Nosferatus got into the new coffin box from blackboxsubscriptions! It had some great makeup, some really cute jewelry and hair things (which I may not get back), a great “Sugared Flames” perfume sample from the House of Madame Josephine (I think someone has a crush!) and the gem of the whole thing was a little bottle necklace with a secret message scroll inside! One of the Nossies is ready to write back with the cute pen we got, if he can only figure out how to get the bottle open, and who the message is from… Maybe he’ll just write Vixx a thank-you note instead.
Made another batch of bottle cap pins, this time focusing on the designs that turned out best last time. Now that I've achieved a consistent design, these will be turning up on the website very soon, and going out in my next shipment to blackboxsubscriptions! www.strangeomens.com
So hey, to anyone who’s actually reading this, I’m probably going to transfer this blog to another email soon. This page will stay up, with a link to the new one, but you’ll have to re-follow.
See, I have a private blog, but I have to be careful about what’s associated with my business or real name (or my publicly known pseudonym, Nyx Strange) because of my day job. And since I’m always on that, this sadly gets neglected. But if I transfer the business blog to the same email as my private blog, I can pay it lots more attention because it won’t be a huge hassle to switch between accounts. More on this soon.

hey, this is really refreshing ! this company is extending their legging sizes to plus sizes (and from the looks of it, super plus sizes), and they wrote a blog entry addressing the challenges of fitting fat bodies and talking about what they’re doing to overcome those challenges. and it includes focusing grouping, testing, and measuring actual fat people ! other retailers, take note. we want to give you our money. we know that there isn’t much easily accessible information about designing for fat bodies (and lord knows that formally trained designers don’t really receive training in their curriculum). we know that sometimes things can cost a few dollars more. we know that there’s been a lot of failed plus size lines that give really confusing and mixed and inconsistent messages about what we want and what we’ll buy. that is because we are not often included in the process. we aren’t asked, we aren’t measured, we aren’t focus grouped properly. if companies spent time with us, we could tell them what challenges we have to deal with, what things we want, what we wish we could get, how we get around size limitations (cute straight size dresses worn as shirts, anyone?). modcloth dedicated time and money to giving fat people what they want, and they’ve been really successful so far (and after a rough start). bombsheller looks like they’re off to a great start.

I learned it was witchsona week late on Sunday, so you get mine a couple hours fashionably late. (I may or may not have read Sugar Sugar Rune again before drawing this)
I ended up looking more like a monster high doll than I originally intended (the style for my witch zine is ironically sticking with me for this…)

Kromi linked me this witchsona challenge, and I decided to take part! My familiar would be a cat, my element would be air and a person who loves books, I would have perfected all the levitation charms, so I can have all of my belongings with me at all times.
And laptop is essential for a modern witch!

Black Box Subscription Review November 2014
(( My first Black Box Subscription has arrived! It actually got here a few days ago, but I was so busy prepping for Thanksgiving that I didn’t have a chance to review it til now.
Black Box is a monthly Goth themed subscription box, that is a little different than others, since with this box instead of everyone getting the exact same thing in each box, each person’s box has a few things that are tailored just to them!
In this NoLa themed box I received:
A Gris Gris Bag for Protection that is filled with peppermint, hibiscus, and rose blossoms.
Handmade ‘Wicked Queen’ scented soap and essential oil.
Black Nail Polish
Black Eyeliner
A handmade red and black beaded necklace.
A handmade set of earrings, with little silver skulls on the ends.
Two holographic face changing sticker sets.
Two Halloween puffy stickers.
A black wooden coffin that contained a little jar of Graveyard Dust.
A personalized note, some band adverts and a button, and post cards for two Voodoo shops in New Orleans, (both that I have been to before, but not for four years).
I must say that I am extremely happy with this box!! All of it! A lot of love certainly went into putting it together, and it shows. I was grinning from ear to ear as I went through all the goodies I received ^_^ And a NoLa themed box for my first box was perfect. Since I really miss New Orleans <3 The jewelery is so lovely! Both the soap and the gris gris bag smell delicious. And on my gods, that cute little coffin with the graveyard dust! The black nail polish and eyeliner was perfect timing, because I was just running out XD The stickers are a cute little addition. And the box being packed with old book pages was so charming!
If you are looking for a new subscription box, I definitely recommend this one! They have two versions: standard, and deluxe. I have the standard version, though I may upgrade to deluxe in the future. ))

Since I knew there were some special goodies coming all the way from New Orleans in this month’s Black Box, I decided to invite some friends to help me unbox it! (I made these guys, which I call Lil’ Nosferatu, maybe a year ago,and I was feeling inspired by gothiccharmschool's recent posts with her new tiny friends. <3) Obviously, they love it as much as I do,hehe (Especially since there was a coffin with a vial of Grave Dust in just their size!)
