My dad watching Gilmore Girls: Both these women are trainwrecks.
Watching Gilmore girls for the first time and Kirk, Paris, and Rory are all systematically conquering different regions of the spectrum
Listen, Steve Harrington IS blorbo from my shows. I have other characters I love, but he's THE blorbo to me.
I would say Mr. Clarke is my hear me out character, but that implies he isn't already a peak example of a man. This dude ain't a hear me out, he's just a walking green flag
My Stranger Things hot takes:
- in terms of objective tight writing, pacing, and plotting, season 1 is the best. You're allowed to find others more entertaining and enjoyable, but season 1 was the most technically good screenwriting out of any of them
- Nancy is cool, but she doesn't make sense with either Jonathan or Steve, for different reasons. I feel like circumstances, trauma, and the need for more relationship conflict in the plot are the only reasons for any of them to be drawn to each other, rather than actual shared values and goals. Nancy doesn't NEED a S/O at all. And Steve deserves someone who truly sees how much he's changed and values what he brings to the table, someone who wants a family (i.e., probably not Nancy).
- I do not care about Jonathan's character in the slightest. They could've killed him off at any point in the last 5 seasons and I'd have been fine with it. I don't hate him but I have zero emotional attachment to that man.
-Mike being gay has not been foreshadowed at all, and it would be a very fan-service writing choice for him to dump El in the last 4 episodes of the show after everything they've gone through because he last-minute realized he was into dudes. Will liking him is more about Will's character than it is about Mike.
- everyone remembers Bob, Barb, and Billy but no one remembers Benny, the guy who got killed in season 1 just for helping Eleven when she was first on the run. I know we got more time with the other characters, but Benny was such a sweet guy, he deserves some mourning.
- we way too often overlook that Karen Wheeler almost cheated on her husband with someone her daughter's age. Ted is unattentive, but that was an unwarranted dirtbag move on Karen's part, even if she didn't go through with it.
-Season 4 is the season where everything fell apart in Hawkins, and who wasn't in season 4? Mr. Clarke. These kids need their science teacher fr
Me when Steve survives but gets married to Nancy (that's MY husband)
If my man dies I'm rioting, just so we're clear. But if he has to go out, him saying "I did it all for you, Nancy" is the stupidest way that could happen. Sorry Stancy shippers, that man is a dad first and foremost.
Me: this workplace comedy is great, but it'd be even better if one of the central characters was an opinionated stubborn straight-shooting autistic-coded character with old-fashioned values who is secretly extremely loyal and supportive of those around them, no matter how much they may feign apathy or even dislike at times

STARRING WHOM AS DR DOOM????
Idk I just go feral when the Plot necessitates the main character going back to the same point in time in order to beat the bad guy. It's like Groundhog Day, but the entire universe is at stake. Bonus points the angrier the villain gets at the hero's annoyingly indomitable spirit.
Time to play Guess the Fandom!
This fandom began by focusing on six protagonists (less so nowadays, when things have branched off to focus on other characters and plotlines). There have been many earlier incarnations/versions of this universe, but this post is focusing on the most popular incarnation that began approximately 15 years ago.
Character 1 is crazy smart and gifted, getting their powers primarily from this intelligence. Not initially a team player, 1 does have a close and trusting bond with a personal assistant of the opposite gender. 1 initially seems to focus on their own achievements, but their development throughout the franchise created a selfless hero who will do whatever it takes to help others. (1 is typically seen by the writers and fans as the central character of the franchise.)
Character 2 is down to earth, blond, and known for their traditional values. 2's main ability in terms of actual "powers" is raw physical strength, though they're often looked to as the moral guiding force on the team.
Character 3 is confident and sticks by their loved ones, even when they have hurt Character 3. This character is a tad boastful at times, and they're known for controlling weather, flying, and traveling insanely quickly through a multicolored method in the sky that's impossible to miss. Though they seem like the "dumb jock" of the group, they're actually quite smart if you pay attention.
Character 4 is an expert in their field who mostly wants a peaceful and private life. 4 seems pretty shy and mild-mannered, but you do not want to see them get angry. Over time, this character has developed a support system and grown more comfortable in their skin.
Character 5 is a softie with a deep love of family. Though 5 lives with children, their signature move is shooting projectiles with an iconic weapon.
Character 6 seems like just another pretty face but actually uses her appearance and feminity as a weapon when need be. 6 also loves her feisty younger sister despite some fights they have had.
A chaos god serves as a primary villain for the franchise. After betraying and causing problems for the main heroes, he is eventually redeemed through his friendship with one of the main characters.
There are also six stones of various colors that maintain balance in this universe. Because of this, fans of this franchise attempt to match each of the six characters with the stone that most matches that character's role on the team.
Did I just describe the MCU or My Little Pony?

Oh I forgot to mention both also rely on twerking as a source of humor because that's what the kids think is funny these days, right?
Freaking love Chris Traeger and Ben Wyatt's friendship because they're literally just the modern day version of Charles "golden retriever" Bingley and Fitzwilliam "constipated turtle" Darcy
