Honestly, I think Joyce should have died at the beginning of Shock Jock. She already had a complete arc in vol.1 and they had nothing more to do with her except dote over Will. It would've made a huge emotional impact and raised the stakes significantly.

Plus we would get Mike comforting Will and given more space for Mike and Will along scenes

As an older sister with a younger brother, with about the same age gap as Nancy and Mike I would have loved to see Nancy actually checking in with and caring about Mike just once you know
