first of all HUGE thank you to the amazing @channel4sims-cc for generously helping me make the incense cute and BGC!! check out their amazing bgc incense burners and all their stuff here :))
second, the set! we've got 9 objects total - everything has a bunch of swatches, all are low-poly (under 500k) and base game compatible. i hand-made all the meshes and hand-painted all the textures, so a lot of love and energy went into making this set!

The set includes three meshes: for the left ear, the right ear, and both ears.
I've added 11 glowing recolors (the last 11 swatches) that highlight the wire โ this effect is most visible in the dark, though you might not notice it as much in CAS.
Due to the difference between the male and female frames, the earbuds sit at different heights from the body. As a result, on female frames, they look best with bulky clothing and collars (jackets, hoodies, chunky sweaters), while on male frames, they work better with thinner fabrics (t-shirts and lightweight tops).
The default replacement includes a both-ears model with 9 swatches that match the original item's colors and requires the Fitness Stuff pack.
I've also made a new world placement object: instead of sitting in a case, the earbuds are now simply folded and placed on any surface.
Please note a game bug: if you order the earbuds through the internet, your Sim won't be able to pick them up after placing them in the world because they will no longer be the owner. This is a game bug, not an issue with my file, and it has already been reported by other users โ you can vote for it so the developers can fix it.
In the meantime, you can avoid this problem by purchasing them in build mode using the Better Build Buy mod or through debug cheat codes, or simply avoid taking them out of your Sim's inventory.
