Hi hello yes never pay for plants simply take a few snippets of one from some public place go home immediately and put it in water til it grows roots and viola! Free plant
You can do this with the following plants
Pretty much any vine! With most you can cut it anywhere but some require you to cut newer growth
Umbrella plants (but b warned they grow fast as balls. Dont cut the stem 2 big or it will struggle to grow roots properly
Herbs! Some are easier than others to root from clippings like lavender and rosemary but require kinda close care and grow slowly some can be tough to root but when they do boy do they spread mint is a huge culprit I’ve had to repot mine 4 times in the past like 3 months
Impaitents are fun and are basically cats bc it’ll seem like they’re dying even though you Just watered them but when you do they spring right back up!
Snake plants are a fan favorite and while I haven’t gotten around to getting any leaves (my bf’s old apartment complex has an assload of plants just sitting around lol so that’s where I got a lot of my non herb plants) it’s a pretty easy plant to take care of just remember to plant it in peat moss when you plant it bc it needs really well drained soil
Just make sure any plant you cut is in a warm place that has indirect sunlight so that the roots grow fast and healthy!
After a plant is rooted it really doesnt need special care besides well drained soil and an appropriate sized pot. If your pot is too big the roots can grow way too fast and if the pot is small the roots can get overcrowded or the plant will just stop growing to prevent that
Theres way way waaay more plants you can do this with I was just listing ones most people can get their hands on easily do some research have fun with it!
