Law took a step back, suddenly insecure. Without any shame whatsoever Luffy roamed his eyes over Law's arms and face taking in the patches of white that covered him all over. He knew he should've worn a hoodie.

The boy was swiftly knocked on the head by Nami. "Luffy it's rude to stare. Leave the poor guy alone."

"That hurt..." He rubbed his head in pain before looking up at Law again. "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I think you look super cool!"

When his gaze returned to the man in front of him he found his eyes already on him. Luffy watched him for a few moments longer before an easy smile found its way to his lips. “Need a ride?”

Thankfully Law wasn’t sipping on his coffee at the moment or he would’ve most certainly choked on it. Despite that he still choked on his own spit leaving him to splutter and cough. “What?”

I'll never understand people who don't like gear 5—or think that it takes away from Luffy's character

I guess I can see merit in the argument of it just turning into another form of the 'chosen one' or a 'terrible power actually turns out to be the strongest' trope but I actually think Oda did it fantastically

Since the beginning of the story Luffy has been regarded as an anomaly—whether that be from his character, his view of piracy as a whole, and especially his devil fruit. No one that I could remember had ever even heard of the gomu gomu no mi which is already strange in of itself in the context of the world even if not to us.

There are books about devil fruits that (to my knowledge) cover all of them even if some are harder to find information about. Except for Luffy's which we now know is because of the WG erasing any and all trace that it even exists. Though this doesn't mean that everyone knows everything about every devil fruit but the fact that not a single person he's come across recognized the name should be a red flag in itself.

There are as many weird and stupid powers as you can possibly think of in this world but Luffy's power is ALWAYS singled out as being strange. Questions about how it actually works and comments about the way some of the things he does aren't properties of rubber are always brushed off as just something he's able to do.

I love a good underdog story as much as the next person but there has always been something more to Luffy's power since the beginning. There's always been hints that the power he has is not as it first appears. Gear 5 has been building for years, eventually making you question why Luffy is considered an anomaly in a world as fantastical as one piece.

Luffy being the incarnation of an ancient god isn't out of the wheelhouse as some people might think. There's always been mystery surrounding the true nature of his devil fruit and just what it's capable of. That paired with his indifference to digging for more information and using it in ways that shouldn't be possible should be enough for it to even be a possibility

This is just some thoughts of mine, feel free to add on if you want I just had to get it out of my head

Do you think the reason Luffy only bathes once a week is because he’s so scared of drowning? Like I feel like he’s the type of person who would love them because they feel nice and warm and if I’m remembering correctly he didn’t mind it when he was younger.

As a kid he had Ace and Sabo there and those are his big brothers, he trusts them with his life. They would never let anything happen to him.

Now he’s older and with a new crew and while he does trust them a lot as well it’s not quite the same. He’s not back on Mt. Colubo with his brothers. This time he’s surrounded by ocean as far as the eye can see and maybe that gives him a bit more anxiety surrounding it then it normally would.

He loves the sea and doesn’t regret his choices to live a life of piracy but one wrong slip up when no one’s around could mean his life. It would be the end of his dream and then he’d be alone in death without any of his loved ones with him. Just surrounded by cold water that chills him down to his bones as he slowly drowns.

Maybe I’m thinking too much about this but it came to my mind and I haven’t shaken the thought since. I don’t have an explanation for Zoro but maybe they both just like being dirty who knows. If anyone else has any thoughts about this I would loveeee to discuss it

Kid is a medical student looking to go into orthpedics but has to complete her Emergency Medicine rotation first. Law is the night shift attending. Kid's 12 hour shift looks a bit more bearable with her around.

Killer is Kid's housemate and works as a line cook at the All Blue. Penguin and Shachi are the night shift senior residents.

I'm never doing emergency med," Kid groaned, dropping her work bad by the door. "But..." Kid trailed off in suspense. "But what?" Killer raised an eyebrow behind her blonde bangs. "The night shift attending is a downright smokeshow," Kid wiggled her eyebrows, grinning salaciously. Killer sighed. What did she expect? "Smokey eyeliner, tan with tats, pixie cut. Didn't think they allowed that," her housemate threw together some shit in the airfryer and settled on the couch. "Enough clout and you can do anything." The redhead shrugged. Trafalgar was well-known amongst female medical students for becoming a trauma surgeon quite young. It's aspiring. However they all fail to mention how hot she was in person. --- 14 hours before... Kid threw her bag into her locker, gritting her teeth as Jewelery yapped in her ear.
