Hello ya'll!

I am doing a severe revamp of my blog (same url @strayedsystem).

I don't talk about it often, but I am part of an OSDD system, and so having one blog that everything goes onto is very chaotic and sometimes stressful. I wanted to make this blog my "main blog", where I will interact from in notifications and etc. I'm not quite sure what else I will do with this blog specifically but I'm sure I will figure it out.

I am 20 (August birthday) and am studying Environmental Science at university, currently a senior. Located in the Midwest of the United States.

Our system has a variety of gender expressions/identities which results in us going by any pronouns, which changes depending on who is all fronting (hence why it's nice to make multiple sideblogs). To be honest, trying to divide my system on Tumblr by names and specific alters fucking sucks so I am making blogs based on vibes.

my family is living through 1,000 year floods and wildfire smoke so bad i can’t work at my job and it goes above the limited AQI on the weather app.

but climate change isn’t real, right?

my grandmother admitted that she believes “cloud seeding” is causing issues with the environment but refuses to acknowledge that the climate has been changing.

FYI i study environmental science. she believes this because it’s her “opinion”.

not to mention all of the ways she’s a bigot.

We are starting the process of getting diagnosed and therapized for DID/P-DID/OSDD and started recently with a new therapist, who specializes in these disorders, and she does her job very well.

We have begun identifying different parts and we have one who serves as the primary manager part (IFS speak). This part is very controlling and serves as a gatekeeper frequently. They have been in denial of us existing for YEARS. I'm talking 6+ years. However, they are one of the main fronters.

This part is starting to come to terms with the idea that we may genuinely be a system and that we are "enough" to get a diagnosis, although it is still a little early in that process. They feel intense feelings of shame, embarrassment, anger, and constantly belittle themself to avoid the acceptance.

We recently saw The Backrooms (movie, 2026) and now we can't help but to see this part as Clark. Stuck in his patterns, in his coping, in his repetition of the past. He can't bring himself to fathom the truth. It can't be real so he pushes it away and forms it into his own narrative, something palatable for him.

WE are excited to begin therapy with a new therapist, because she has promised to challenge us and to help us actually combat our habits. The manager part is very anxious and doesn't want to change. It's just the way we're wired.

idk how old one of my alters is but let’s just say he listens exclusively to 70-80s rock and sometimes disco, loves facebook groups, has no clue how to decorate, collects vinyls, loves his morning coffee, and is a birder

despite these things not being available to us rn he is avid about sitting in a lawn chair with a root beer bottle in hand (we don’t drink)

he is also thoroughly surprised with the most recent pair of shorts we bought
