when are people gonna realise that starting rumours about idols isn’t just something they can move on from.
If you don’t know already, Hyunjin was absent from a schedule due to a rumour that he was a bully in his high school years. A similar thing also happened with Mingyu recently, of which has been debunked.
I would hate to bring her name into this so i won’t, but just remember that similar things have happened with other idols that have cost them their lives. that is not something to take lightly. rumours can destroy them, and making one up just because it’s an idol you don’t like is one of the worst things i have ever seen happen in kpop. it’s disgusting.
this is more so in Mingyu’s case because we know it is false. we should be supporting them. you have no idea what they are going through off camera. we have no idea in some cases if they are true or not, but just know that if you started it and they are debunked so the idols have done nothing wrong then you are responsible for everything that you put them through.
it also makes it harder for real victims to come forward. on the chance that they are true, how is it helping both the idol take responsibility and the person who has to come forward? what do you gain from making stuff up and making rumours more frequent? it just makes it so much harder for real victims to get help.
we still don’t know if what this person said is true, but with all these bullying accusations going round for no other reason other than damaging other idol’s reputations, don’t believe everything you see.
the worst part is, all these hyunjin rumours have been previously debunked in 2018. They’re the same rumours that made him cry publicly at one of their first fansigns in 2018. We know they’re false, but people still try to ruin the lives of innocent people. And for what? Clout? To see them in pain? To see their name in a devastating headline? Fuck them to hell
