alice is a cam girl working under the name lola. her intense performances are just about to earn her a spot in the top ranks when someone who looks strikingly similar to her steals the account. the next 90 minutes are a lot of fun. i like cam and i also get why not everyone does. i just think it’s so pretty and colorful and bloody, and madeline brewer is great. five stars from me.

CREEP 2 (2017)

aw shit son. i finally watched creep 2 and i actually loved the sequel even more than the first. peachfuzz is back, sara is a total babe, and mark duplass is so fucking intense and unnerving and i love everything about this series. found footage flicks like this will forever have a place in my heart. five very enthusiastic stars.

CULT OF CHUCKY (2017)

let’s pretend the last film never happened and thank our lucky stars for cult. this feels like a movie for the fans and is a funny, bloody, meta af, classic addition to the series and all around good time. tiffany, andy, and that end-of-credits scene? a true classic never goes out of style. 4 out of 5 stars.

the title probably gives a decent clue as to what this movie is about. obviously not to be taken too seriously, i thought it was a pretty fun little horror/comedy. bitchy and bloody and an all around good time, i gave it 4 out of 5 stars!

journalists document their co-worker’s attempt to reconnect with his sister after she joins a religious cult. found footage, documentary style film written and directed by ti west. the parallels to jonestown will leave you feeling a little shaken up. slow, suspenseful, and scary. 5 out of 5 stars.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL (2014)

college kids head to a secluded cabin in the woods for a weekend of drunken antics, only to have their fun interrupted by a motherfucking spaceship. this is nothing new or original, but it’s good old fashioned alien fun. decent teen scream. 4 out of 5 stars.

THE VEIL (2016)

years after an entire cult commits suicide, a documentary team contacts the sole survivor in hopes of finding out what really happened. with my queen lily rabe on the cast alongside jessica alba, i really had high hopes for this movie! it was dark and atmospheric and spooky as hell, but the majority of the film consisted of people sitting in a dark room watching videotapes and there’s nothing entertaining about that. it was almost boring. i generously gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

NIGHT OF THE WILD (2015)

when a meteor crashes into a small town, the town’s dogs go fucking crazy. the owners must turn against their furry friends in a fight for their life. i think this is one of those awful syfy movies that ended up on netflix. it’s garbage and not even entertaining garbage. i am sad that kelly rutherford had to act in this. 1 out of 5 stars.
