Long story short: I have been platonically obsessed about him ever since I first watched the Netflix Punisher show and this obsession was my gateway into the vigilante netflixverse of Marvel back in the day where the shows were still releasing there. I never talked much about it before for the same reason you point out.

I do understand if people want to lust about him, even if i find it a bit overwhelming, but to me the dad vibes win. I can see him only as the comfort father figure I want in my life, his interactions with girls across the show have completely won me over in this sense from day one ... And then I watched Daredevil, got to the graveyard scene and the realization struck me.

He loves and misses his entire family, but the special thing he has with his daugther and how it echoes across all his encounters with other girls ( Leo, Amy, the little girl in one last kill, etc) drives me fucking nuts. No possible romantical approach you can give him with anyone hits me the way his platonical weirdness with the girls he stumbles with does.

I have became platonically weird about him because he is platonically weird in the first place! I know that, even if I am a grown woman now, in a situation where enough trust was previously build he would get gradually weird with me too. We would get to the moment were he would be ready for the angsty talk about his daugther and I would break into pathetic sobbing thinking of my carelesss emotionally absent father until we are both a crying mess comforting each other. He would watch his daugther grow through looking at me while wondering how she would have been at my age, I would get a glimpse of the father's love I never had wondering if perhaps I would have turned out less messed up.

This is the way in which I want Frank: it's extremely weird, but completely platonic.

I'm glad that the love for him is intensifying in general after brand new day and my reaction is the one of a proud daugther showing the pic of her dad with shaky hands.

if you copy a url by sharing on the website, the link will look like this

getting rid of tracking in these is easy, just delete everything after the question mark and you are golden

in the case for the app, its slightly more complicated

first you have to delete at. that appears before tumblr(.)com the other tracking shit on this one has a lot more info, so please, clean app urls. after the first set of numbers, there's a / you have to delete everything after it

I can't believe Frank was introduced to the MCU in the most dad way possible, but stupid disney took so long to do it I outgrew the socially acceptable audience of the trope.

It's no longer 2018 and I am a grown woman now, but the daddy issues are still there. Please, give me my fictional father 🥹
