Chayton & Adira | Walk With Me
He was so unsure how long that he’d been sitting there on the couch, but he was nearly asleep when she came into the room.  He opened an eye and looked up at her, a smile gracing his lips.  He was still so taken with the way that she looked in his clothes, the way that she smelled with the mixture of her own scent, and that of his soap.  Her words pulled a chuckle from his lips, and he shook his head.  "Do you plan on keeping me up for a while, hmm?“  The smile that was on his lips, grew into a full blown grin, when he did something spur of the moment, totally uncommon with him, where this girl was concerned.
Chayton’s arm jutted out and he took hold of Adira’s hand, tugging her closer to him.  He didn’t stop there, he pulled just a bit harder, dragging her into his lap, and wrapping an arm tightly around her waist.  If she wanted to be let go, he’d of course let go, but he was hoping after all, that she wouldn’t want him to let her go.  He smiled again, this time more of a smirk as his hand drifted up the back of her neck, tangling into the back of her hair.
He cleared his throat and leaned in close to her, his nose running along the side of her face, taking in her scent from a much closer vantage point.  He couldn’t help it, he’d been wanting to touch her since he’d met her, and he’d only gotten as far as holding her hand.  He was hoping that he might at least get a kiss now.  "Look, I’ve been wanting to do this since I met you, since I sat down at that table, and you got snarky with me.  Probably the reason that I’ve been so nervous around you this whole time.”
His tongue flicked out and over his lips, before he pressed his lips against the pulse point right behind her ear.  "Don’t be mad… Don’t be mad.“  He murmured the words into her ear, before cupping her chin in his hand, turning her face toward his, pressing their lips together lightly.  Soft lips, he’d imagined they’d be soft, but not quite that soft.  "Look.. I uhh.  I like you, Adira.  I like you a lot.”  He paused for a moment, running his fingers through her still damp hair.  He noticed that as soon as the words were said, he wasn’t nervous any more.  Oddly enough, the closer that he was to her, the less nervous he was.  Hmm.  Imagine that. Â
“I’m pretty sure that you know I like you, and I’m pretty sure that if you didn’t at least entertain the idea, you wouldn’t be here right now.”  It was so much easier to have said the words, now that he had her in his lap.  He didn’t know why, but for some reason, the comfort he felt with her there, was far beyond the nervous discomfort that he’d been feeling the rest of the time that he’d been with her.  He pressed another light kiss to her temple, before grabbing the remote, and turning on the television.
As he awoke and peered up at her, she shot him a grin. She could’ve let him sleep, but that would’ve been too easy. If she was awake, it was only fair that he was as well, or at least that’s how she saw it.  "I do, I plan on keeping you awake for as long as I’m awake,“ Adira replied, with a chuckle. Knowing her, she’d be out within an hour or two. Last night wasn’t exactly the best night’s sleep she’d ever had, but it was more than enough to keep her awake for the time being. Plus, he was enough reason to want to stay up.
She fell into him as he tugged on her arm, her body landing right into his lap as she let out a small laugh. She locked her arms around his neck, visibly amused by his previous gesture. Her eyes met his as he smiled, his hand now tangling in her hair as she leaned a little closer to him.  Adira couldn’t help the slight smirk that fell across her lips, as a finger jutted out to trace up and down the back of his neck.Â
Her eyelashes fluttered as he leaned into her, her breathing slowing as his nose traveled across her skin. A faint blush covered her skin, as her nerves picked up. This was farther than they’d gotten previously, which had her feeling a bit jittery. His words broke the silence, as her hands traveled to his shoulders. "Ever since I snarked at you, huh? Who knew snarky comments would land me a new friend of sorts.”
Adira’s eyes closed slowly as he pressed his lips to her skin.  "Why would I be mad?“  She questioned softly. Her question was soon answered, as he pressed his lips against hers. Without even thinking about it, her hands now slipped to either side of his face, as she pulled herself a bit closer before he pulled back.  "I know,”  She murmured, her lips still tingling.  Any nerves or fears that she had previously were now gone, as they’d finally just gotten everything over with.Â
“It’s...plausible that I feel the same way towards you.” She grinned, pressing  a small kiss to the side of his jaw. Something about this moment felt right to her, she felt as though it was meant to happen. Adira tucked her head into the crook of his shoulder after he pressed a kiss to her temple, sighing contently. “So, what’re we watching?”
