Currently, I don't really have an opportunity to draw. So, I felt bored and decided to drop some lore about these guys... I don't know if it is interesting or not, I will do it anyway.
I have been trying to develop this story for, like, 4 years. You know how it works, one day you are invested, then you lose interest for three months lol. Many things are still not well-elaborated...
So, basically, these guys are stars, or a race with starlike powers. They use their light as a source of magic, and their main task is to protect realms from darkness. In their world there are other races that are references to real-life space objects like sattelites, planets, zodiacs and even a black hole (actually it's a weapon called "Oblivion").
The "star-people" can use different types of magic: combat-magic, healing, etc. But some of their powers are defined by their colour of light. There are seven colours of light (rainbow ones), white colour of light, and golden light (only two persons have it, and it has to do with "the chosen one trope"). Each colour gives its star unique powers, e.g.: red stars can use thunder and lightning, yellow ones are shapeshifters, green ones use speech magic, azure ones can teleport and create labyrinths, etc. The colour also defines the second name and sometimes the first name of these guys: Ruberon, Auron, Alberon and so on.
White light is the most effective against darkness. White stars (Alberons) don't protect realms, they are councillors in a "Stardome" (a council of the wisest and oldest stars that coordinate the work of other star-people in their realms), scientists, politicians and teachers for the younger generation. Alberons create "aurins" — little shining orbs to protect each realm; they function like real-life suns and are filled up with light by a star-dude or girl once in a while. To make it simple, it was not efficient for star-people to give their light directly to their realms, because it's like blood donation; if you give too much, it harms you, and aurins are like batteries that store a star's light inside and emit it in a specific amount, so no one gets hurt.
And now about these people. We will start in the middle.
The trio. The tanned blondy below — Helios Auron — the main character in the story, the youngest brother in the trio, the chosen one, a star with golden light from a prophecy. He inherited a realm from his elder brothers after a tragic traumatic accident when he was just a kid. He learns how to rule and protect the realm on his own, has to deal with an upcoming threat and to figure out how to defeat the villain. Aditionally, the prophecy always makes him feel under pressure.... Because it goes like this: The star of golden light will either bring an end to the age of darkness or make it last forever...
A line in the tree connects Helios with his love interest, a girl with white hair and bright blue eyes — Selina. She is not a star, she is a sattelite and daughter of a planet — Terra (they are like Earth and moon).
Back to the trio. A man with red hair — Magnus Ruberon, the oldest brother in the trio. Originally, he was the king/lord/protector of the realm in which action takes place. Magnus was one of the greatest heroes, 2 meters tall, strong and magnificent, a great and brave warrior, who saved the realm from the days of darkness before becoming its king. Unfortunately, he disappeared during the already mentioned accident...
Magnus was in a love relationship with a black-haired woman on the right — Lady Viridea. She also was a victim of the accident... On her right there's her younger brother — Emerelis Virideon. He is presumed to be the one who caused the accident, has a bad reputation because of it, and has been trying to find the Great Ancient City in a vast dessert to get details about the prophecy.
And the last of the trio, the middle brother — Sirius Ceruleon. This character is heavily inspired by Sirius Black, Tony Stark and Captain Jack the Sparrow. He is the one who breaks the rules. After the accident Sirius abdicated the throne, left the realm and became a space pirate. Sirius' magic allows him to create a pack of magical blue wolves. Despite everything, he returned when Helios was in great trouble.
Above the trio there are their parents — a purple-haired woman, Amethystea, and a tanned man with a beard, Athairus Aurantheon.
And now the prequel: Amethystea's ancestor, a woman with vitiligo, has no name yet, is a zodiac founder. The zodiacs are something like very skilled warriors that protect the aurin in every realm. Athairus' ancestor, a tanned man that looks like Helios with a beard, is Tolmiris Auron — the First Great King, who managed to unite all star-people and stop civil wars. He was the King-Architect who built the Great Ancient City where all star-people used to live and many other places. Tolmiris' light was golden, and he was the fearless one that won the battle with the darkness in the past and sealed its heart in a special aurin known as the "Heart of the Night". The battle was won, but the darkness was not completely defeated, it continued to act silently with the help of its followers....
A woman on the right with dark blue hair — Saphyra, a warrior, Tolmiris' ally and friend. Later she became the Queen and spouse of the Second Great King.
Saphyra's husband and the Second Great King — Viridis Alberon, the greatest speech magic user. Did many things wrong in the past, was on the wrong side during civil wars, got a second chance, became friends with Tolmiris and married Saphyra. After the darkness had almost escaped its prison, Tolmiris sealed it back and lost almost all his light; that's why Viridis became the King. Later he made the prophecy about the golden star, abdicated the throne, created the system of councils and protectors of realms and had to "close" the Great Ancient City in the dessert.
Viridis and Saphyra's only child — Smaragdea, a girl with green hair, used the name "Jade" to hide her royal origin, ensuring that no one could use her to blackmail Viridis. Viridea and Emerelis are Jade's descendants, they all are green stars — speech magic users.
Before the Great Ancient City was built, Viridis had adopted a civil war orphan — a white star, Hionus Alberon, a bearded man with white hair. He is really old, almost ancient; Viridis made him the gatekeeper of the closed Great Ancient City until the day the darkness would be finally defeated. Several centuries have passed since that moment. Hionus also is a councillor at the Stardome, that's why he is present in two places at the same time. How? - He creates clones.
Hionus had an unknown sibling, whose descendant we see in the tree below Hionus — Eiras Alberon. Hionus and Eiras call each other "brother" despite the fact that they are more like a many-times-great-uncle and nephew. Eiras was a teacher and a scientist in the Stardome, and Magnus was his last apprentice. As a scientist, Eiras was exploring ways to heal the Heart of the Night from the darkness, but he was exposed to its influence, and at some point he switched sides.
And the sequel: it's very questionable because now I don't know how the story will end. Well, I do, but some details still need to be figured out. Anyways, I started thinking about their kids.

Yesterday's infodump was not enough, I want to jabber a little more.
It all started during quarantine, when I read Rick Riordan's "The Trials of Apollo". I was sketching Apollo's looks, and, as a result, I came up with Helios — a personification of the Sun. And it all started developing slowly.
Helios is a young and inexperienced ruler/souvereign of his realm; sometimes he can't cope with this responsibility. "What am I? " and "What should I be?" are the questions he constantly asks himself.
Since a very young age he has been looking up to his older brothers, but Magnus and Sirius are complete opposites.
Magnus is very rational, reliable, responsible, admired and respected by people; he always follows the rules, always has a plan. Frankly speaking, his looks (and name....) are a little bit inspired by Maedhros, but that was before I started reading "The Silmarillion".
Sirius is a vagabond and a rebel, but he is fun. Things get pretty serious, when Sirius is serious (because usually he isn’t).

Headcanons... Let me think...
I guess, most of the headcanons have to do with his appearance. Usually I draw him having vivid blue eyes and a bit darker skin to highlight the golden freckles. And golden freckles of course - the idea is that elvish redheads are different from human redheads. And grey hair after the trauma, yes. Peppermint candies, yes 😂
Another headcanon is that generally for noldor braiding is a symbol of emotional connection, attachment to a person. First braid is done by a mother. Maedhros helped braiding his younger brothers, so he is really good at it.
One of the coolest headcanons I saw somewhere, was that Maitimo is Nerdanel's favorite art model for sculptures.
He also is really good with kids since he babysitted all his younger brothers, some of his cousins and his nephew too.
He regrets what he did, the crimes, everything...very much...😢

Well, that's not an easy question. I guess, I like the "classics" so to say, e.g. Fëanor and Nerdanel, Galadriel and Celeborn. I also ship Haleth and Caranthir, because human&elf relationship is beautiful ngl.
I also have a couple of original characters with whom I ship some of the canon characters like Arien and Maedhros, but that's another story 😂
