The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said :

“On the day Allah created the heavens and the earth, he created 100 mercies, each of which could fill the space between heavens and earth. He allocated 1 mercy to be shared among all of his creations by virtue of which a mother shows compassion to her child, by the virtue of which wild animals drink water and by virtue of which all creatures show compassion to each other. Then on the day of resurrection, he will limit it to those who were mindful of him ( Al- Muttaqun ) and Allah will bless them with 99 more.
