A black hardbound sketchbook owned by Stuart Sutcliffe, one of the original members of The Beatles, containing hundreds of sketches done in pencil and ink, as well as several watercolors and charcoal renderings. Inside the cover of the book in calligraphy is written, "S. Sutcliffe. Group 2 Museum Studies, Liverpool Art College," and includes 104 pages of figure studies, nudes, color notes, perspective exercises, bridges, boats, animals and dozens of other subjects. Sutcliffe was a promising art student - as this book strongly attests - and a close friend of John Lennon's at the Liverpool Art College, which they both attended, before joining the band. (x)

Excellent video definitively proving the "Stuart Sutcliffe" cover of "Love Me Tender" to be a hoax.

GEORGE: What's Mrs. [Millie] Sutcliffe want?
JOHN: Well, what they all want—money.
GEORGE: "This is the last cry for help, my bank is nailed to the wall!"
JOHN: Back.
GEORGE: "My back! [unintelligible] many times before. But this is the last time since Charlie [Charles Sutcliffe, her husband and Stu's father]'s sudden death in March '66... oh my consequent... oh long..." What? "...illness I have managed to exist—"
JOHN: The illness is alcoholic.
GEORGE: "—and now it is the end of the road."
JOHN: She's an alcoholic, y'know.
GEORGE: "I beg of you, please come, if only for the sake of the boy you once knew." Fucking hell...
JOHN: Now what's it got to do with me?
GEORGE: What's it got to do with Stu? I mean she didn't know him.
JOHN: No, he hated her anyway. I remember at college, he used to tell me [he did]—except for [when] she gave him twenty ciggies a day and five bob. I mean it [the letter]'s registered so I've gotta just write to her and say, "What?" Something. I owe her.
