CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER (2011)
yah I am still upset about steve rogerās ending considering the whole āruined a ten year character arc/development, ignored not only mcu canon but comic canon, and sent the guy who literally couldnāt go a day without getting in a fight over human rights back to one of the most turmoil filled backwards decades where his best friend was being tortured and said āheās not going to do anything about thisā (after abandoning his found family)ā thing
You're on a train in the alps with a beautiful boy,
not for long you arenāt
Friendly reminder that Hydra assassinated everyone that got in their way and Peggy Carter made it to her nineties peacefully.
Like, what's not clicking.
op has a fucking point here
rb'ing again to say I'm still adament she knowingly funded or otherwise supported the winter soldier program. she knew the soviets had a member of cap's team and bucky was the only one of them to be untraceable.
her knowing that information would be dangerous for them, you'd think they'd take her out to prevent that information getting out... unless they knew she was loyal to them.
she is also based on cynthia glass, a nazi double agent from the comics (they state this outright in the book for agent carter season one) so....
wait sheās based on WHAT
Yep, here it is in the official book for season one of Agent Carter, the fact it's stated on the Marvel comics wiki, and a more in-depth post on the topic here. I have no idea why they brought in the Nazi spy into her character when comic Peggy (while she's not the best person in other ways) is a badass freedom fighter, said character looks nothing like MCU Peggy (think Sharon) but looks a hell of a lot like Cynthia Glass.
It's bad enough she participated in Operation Paperclip and hired Zola... this is just another layer.
She also does shoot Steve when Loraine sexually assaults him (she also gropes him w/o his consent earlier in the movie, that wasn't in the script, and it's disgusting how Hayley and the director treated it like some great, hilarious joke)... and she commits police brutality repeatedly in Agent Carter. The show treats it as hilarious and "justified"... Like, idk how to tell you, but it's not "praxis "for a cop to brutalize a suspect just because the cop in question is a woman in the 1940s and the victim is a sexist man.
Sheās also directly active in SHIELD until the 1980s at minimum. Antmanās opening scene shows her in active leadership, making decisions about what the organization does, for a decade after Armin Zolaās death.
which means even before Endgame (which was entirely bullshit and I donāt use for character arguments)-
Peggy Carter helped recruit, pay a salary, and then authorized the preservation on a computer,
of the Nazis piece of shit who ran Hydraās experiments
maybe in the end, you were both just meant for the flames (x)
