Leaning over him, Sirius poked at it with the tip of his wand, frowning a little as he studied it.

“ but…the people aren’t moving yet   they’re…speaking? ” looking him, his head canted. “ I don’t understand. ”

        He grinned at the Marauder before laying the comic book out flat for him to get a better look. " The pictures don't move because it is a Muggle item. Like Muggle paintings and pictures, these pictures don't move, " He explained. Sturgis then gestured at the page with one large sweep. " It's, uh, it is kind of like a novel? But, it has these pictures instead of just words. " It was certainly a task to explain Muggle items to Pureblood wizards. But, it was always something that Sturgis was eager to do-- especially if the other was interested in learning.

        Wide smile was evident on his face at the girl's reaction. He was, of course, appreciative of the obvious excitement that she displayed over the object. " It's kind of like a painting-- or, at least, a muggle painting, " He said, adding the last part in thoughtfully. " Uhm.. the Muggles, they make up these stories and draw pictures to go along with it. They're usually about superheroes--things that are kind of impossible, " He explained.

“Wait – for real?” James raised his eyes, a delighted smile easing across his face after a moment. A hand pressed over his heart and he threw the other arm around Sturgis’s shoulders. “I’m so proud. You have to tell me the story behind that.” Still, the moment was ruined by Flitch appearing in front of them and ordering them inside. James nevertheless beamed though – Flitch always hated happiness – and saluted the man before sauntering into the trophy room. After the typical spiel that James didn’t bother listening to, the two boys were put to work. It only took a few minutes before Flitch removed himself, leaving only Mrs. Norris behind who had both of the students’ wands in her mouth. After a moment of Flitchlessness, James hissed at Mrs. Norris. “I love cats but that thing isn’t a cat; it’s a demon.” He turned toward Sturgis, throwing down his rag and cracking his wrist. “Wanna help distract her so we can get our wands back?” 

        " Well, long story short, the Slytherins apparently didn't appreciate the gift of mice in their train compartment, " He managed to quickly get out before Filch appeared. Sturgis couldn't help but to grin as he recalled the prank from just the start of the previous year. He had wanted to turn the Slytherins themselves into toads. But, that was a skill that he didn't know yet and thus his initial dream wasn't able to be fulfilled. The boy tried to listen as Filtch went into the typical spiel of what they were expected to do. But, he still drifted off into his own thoughts only being brought back by James hissing. " Couldn't agree more about that, " He responded. The cat did seem like a demon more than it did an actual cat. This was something that he often remarked to Charity who insisted that he was being ridiculous when he commented on the cat's obvious red eyes. " Yeah.. what are you thinking? " He questioned, raising his brows.

FMK Ravenclaw Edition

Well, uhm, I think that I would marry Dorcas. I don’t really know her, but she seems really nice? So, I think that she would make for a good wife, I guess. Uhm, I think that I would have sex with.. oh hell, I don’t know. I’m thinking Adelaide. She was honestly the first person that came to my mind.. which is, uh, sorry Edgar. Do I really have to kill anyone? I mean.. they all seem like decent people.. like there isn’t anyone that I would really want to kill. Screw it, I am changing it to kiss and I would kiss Emmeline.

FMK slytherin ediiton

I don’t really talk to many Slytherins. But, let’s see.. I guess that I would marry Selene. She seems to be the nicest out of the bunch. Plus, I hear that they do the whole ‘arranged marriage’ thing as Purebloods which has got to be bloody miserable. I could, at least, save her from marrying some prat that she can’t stand. Guess that I’d sleep with Andromeda. I don’t think she’s near the ice queen that she lets on, plus she is pretty attractive. I am not usually violent, but I think that I could kill Mulciber with no problem at all.

       Emma was no stranger to being stared at by others. Most of the time she could ignore it, especially if the person was being vague about it. But when it was so blatantly obvious she couldn’t help but speak up. There were certainly worse people who could be looking in her general direction and though she didn’t know Sturgis that well she knew he was not one of them. “ Do you always daze off in the library? Is it so hard to focus for too long? ”

        " Too often, I'm afraid, " He admitted. Sturgis ducked his head as he spoke and his cheeks began to redden. Though it was probably not the true reason, he thought that this was perhaps the reason that he struggled so much with school. He did tend to go into a daze when it came to subjects like History of Magic which tended to be dry. " Though.. I think that it is because I'm working on some Divination, " He shrugged. Granted, he had had the option to choose Divination as one of his two electives. It had seemed like an easier choice than Ancient Runes or Arithmancy when he'd opted for it. He had quickly figured out the flaw in his thoughts. " The stuff kind of goes over my head, " He responded. Not to mention that it sounds like a bunch of bull.

FMK :: Amelia, Alice, Greta

I, uh, well this is uncomfortable to answer. The first thing that comes to mind though is that I would marry Greta. She already takes care of me, so why not? She also makes some great things to eat which is a definite plus. Uhm.. I think that I would kill kiss Alice. I don’t know her that well, so it would be kind of awkward to say the least to have sex with her. Uhm so, I guess that that leaves Amelia for the last one.

I honestly don’t really know. I mean– There are many people that I love. I love Benjy, Charity, Amelia, and many others. But, in love? I feel like there is a difference and I haven’t felt that just yet.

He laughs, moving to take the seat beside his friend, knows Sturgis too well to take the focus on the promised food as indication that it’s his only reason for telling Benjy to stay. He bumps his shoulder against Sturgis’, ever inclined to tactility with those he was closest with. “I wouldn’t be much of a friend if I didn’t share the benefits of my inexplicable immunity to Binns’ monotone. How many pages did you make it through this time?”

The tarts take him a moment to free from their wrappings, but he passes one over under the table, keeping an eye out for Madam Pince. Most of them, he hides on his knees under the table, in reach of both himself and Sturgis, but a couple he wraps up again carefully and tucks them back into his bag. “For Amelia.” He explains. “They’re lemon, I think. Mam said the lemon tree’s been extra full this year.”

        He began to flip back through the pages of the book in front of him at his question. As far as he could tell, he hadn't gotten too far as it appeared that five pages were all that were read. He also wasn't completely sure that he'd even read the last page before dozing off. " Not far, " He summized, " Got a solid five pages. " The amount that he had gotten certainly paled in comparison than the entire near forty pages that needed to be read. He grabs the tart from his friends hand sneakily ( or as sneakily as he possible could ) and took a bite out of it. For a moment, he relished in the taste of lemon resisting the urge to scrunch his nose in response to the sour taste. " Wonderful, " He compliments simply with a nod. At the mention of Amelia, he realizes that he hadn't found Benjy at the Hallow's Eve Ball either. It was strange that he hadn't saw any of his three closest friends. It also had made for an interesting night from dancing with Selene Greengrass to exploding a pumpkin with James Potter. Maybe, he shouldn't have nights without them. " I didn't see you at the Ball. Where were you? " He questioned, glancing over at him.

Hottest girl at Hogwarts?

Hottest? Can we use the word beautiful? I think that it’s more appropriate. Anyways.. let’s see, this is a very hard question as the majority of the female population at Hogwarts are all very beautiful. It makes it quite difficult to narrow it down to one, no? Can I do like a top three? I think that I will do a top three. So, obviously, I will have to say that Charity Burbage is one of the most beautiful girls at Hogwarts for more reasons than just her outward appearance. Actually, I think that it could be said for the other girls that I am going to mention as well. Amelia Bones is quite beautiful both inside and out though I don’t feel that she believes that. Also, Greta Catchlove is so radiant that she puts the sun to shame.

“ —— considering your prefect status, I assume you’ve never done this before, right Podboy? Well don’t worry about it; we’ll just polish some trophies and then be out there in, like, two hours. Give or take.” Admittedly Flitch was ‘supervising’ them and it wasn’t uncommon for the man to extend detentions just for the hell of it. James kept that information to himself for now; didn’t need Sturgis more worried than he already probably was. They were closing in on their destination and James stuck his hands in his pockets, wishing he had his Mirror on him. Admittedly, Sturgis was good company, but he wasn’t Sirius, and, like everything else about the Marauders, James didn’t want the Mirrors’ existence to get out which made him opt to not bring it at all. “Afterward we can go nick something from the kitchens alright?”

        " Ah well.. you'd actually be surprised about that. This isn't my first time in detention, " He said offering a small shrug. Granted, Sturgis didn't always find himself in detention. He was certain that his record wasn't nearly as long as the ones that James Potter and Sirius Black held. He still wasn't a stranger to the place either as he had a tendency for trouble. If he were being honest about it, he still didn't quite understand how he had gotten the title of Prefect though he supposed that he waasn't that horrible. " Sounds brilliant, " He said. It didn't take too long for a bright grin to cross his features, a typical reaction when the kitchens were mentioned.
