girl who sat next to me at the coffee shop had that Tortured By Computer Work look in her eye so i turned to her and was like Are u doing research? and it turns out she (white) just started working as an indigenous liaison for an ecological wellness surveying company (hired bc she worked with the local nation for a year) so i was like OMG can i share resources with you. and whipped out my 1 million notes and academic papers on ethical Indigenous-settler relations/research and Indigenous perspectives on ecological restoration. she was like omg are u sure this is basically a whole course for free and i wanted to tear my shirt off liek YES!!!! First day of class this semester and second day of MCAT studying! I've got about four months to Test Day, so I'm crunching all of my reading of the Kaplan books for Behavioural Sciences and CARS into this week, before class actually picks up.

Thoughts so far are that I hate Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, and Erik Erikson with a passion. (Does Erikson deserve to be lumped in with those clowns? No. But I cannot seem to remember his development stages to save my life.)

it's an accessibility tool i made for myself because i needed it, which basically lets you focus on one sentence at a time as you read large blocks of texts (books, articles, etc.). it offers different highlight styles, some of which use gradients to help guide your eyes from the start of the sentence until the end. you can move forward and back pressing the buttons or using ALT + left and right arrow keys if you use it and you find it helpful please tell me about it so i can have the motivation to keep improving it. i love knowing people use my tools

I’m a college student struggling with brain fog due to medical issues, I’m definitely going to try this out next time I’m working on one of my reading heavy courses :) a lot of my books are accessible via some website cloud thing on a browser because owning things isn’t real anymore. this looks like something that will really really help me.

Shavua tov! I hope everyone's had a good start to the week. My Anki due card situation is starting to get dire, and it's only going to get worse for a while. After my cards, I got through two chapters of Behavioural Science review, and there was a lot of anatomy in there.

Today was really productive, even if I didn't get much studying done! I cleaned off my desk, reorganized, bought a new planner for the year, and found furniture (and a cute vase) for my room. My only wish is that I'd done my due cards sooner.

Got back on the horse again today, and actually managed to get through the huge pile of due cards I left for myself in Anki. The goal for the summer is to get everything set up now at a brisk walk so that future!Samara doesn't have to head into next year at a dead sprint.
