I wanna give a s/o to all the students out there where everything was working against them to do well in school but they persevered anyway.
The students who didn’t have parents that did well in school and so they couldn’t receive proper guidance. The students who went to shitty public schools that didn’t prepare them as well as private school kids. The students who were the first in their family to complete high school. The students who have to work to survive or afford school while studying. The students that have to support their family in addition to themselves. The students who couldn’t figure out how to study until it was too late to fix their GPA. The students who discovered their mental illnesses while in college and it tanked their success or forced them to take longer to finish.
All of you are valid. Remember that. College is hard and can make you feel that numbers always matter. But once you enter the real world, no one is keeping score. Be proud of what you achieved based on your unique conditions.
Enjoy the life you’ve given yourself because you went to college. You did it.

Favourite polaroid, favourite planner spread and favourite scent of this year. Despite this year being a rollercoaster for most of us - reflecting on the positives has made me feel a bit less weary for 2021. I'm sending you all good vibes for the year to come, let's hope it'll be nice to us all 💌

Forget pulling all-nighters and chugging coffee until it’s practically coursing through your veins. You know what gets me hyped up? Earl Grey tea on slow sunny mornings after a good night’s sleep. Submitting an assignment early, knowing you’ve completed it to the best of your ability. Reading for pleasure. That feeling of limbless relaxation after a good workout. Unearthing all your buried interests and falling in love with them over and over again.
Repeat after me: success is not suffering. Success is nOT-
Spent a few hours studying here the other day. (x) if you choose to repost these images, credit me using the source in the link provided.
hey folks; i know we’re all going thru it right now, so I made a carrd masterpost of some stuff to comfort us all. there’s some games, some mental health stuff, and all the crisis lines i could find. i hope it helps; please spread this if you think your followers might find it useful
physically im sitting in linear algebra, mentally i am petting a cat in front of a fireplace, book on my lap while listening to the rdr2 soundtrack
Stop this “work hard” bullshit. You deserve free time, you deserve sleep and you deserve mental health. You deserve to procrastinate and you deserve to have your hobbies. You deserve it. You need it. No one should work & study all the time.

currently sat at the library trying to get some work done .... tiny hinata is helping
14.10.2020 // i cannot keep my focus today.. might just take a couple hours off, an early afternoon break sounds pretty inviting, hopefully it’ll help and i can get cracking on some physiology work
day 14 - What are some of your study essentials?
here’s a little what’s in my pencil case:) it’s what i’d be bringing to uni if we had in person lectures… as it happens, we only have labs rn and i don’t need more than a gel pen and pencil with me, so most of these items have migrated to the drawers of my desk/pencil holders. other essentials i can’t study without include fuzzy socks, my ipad for note taking, and w a t e r (stay hydrated kids, be a hydrohomie (thanks @acadhr for expanding my vocab in the best of ways!))
I wanted to post a little bit of what I’ve learned in physics so far this year, partly because I’m proud of it and partly because it looks neat. This was all programmed in MATLAB, except for the cat. Pictured: Fourier Approximation of x³, hold off and hold on because hold on is rainbow, and a simple pendulum. (…and Willow standing on some homework.)
If you guys have ADD/ADHD, autism, OCD, or something else that affects your ability to concentrate, I highly recommend the chrome extension Mercury Reader. You just open whatever link you're using, then click on the MR icon (it should look like a rocket) and it'll simplify the page so that it's in a focus-friendly layout. Instead of having random pictures and word boxes all over the screen, it'll be in a vertical format with nothing to distract you so you can focus on what's important. You can also adjust the text size (small, medium, large), font (serif, sans), and theme (light, dark). And the best part is, it's completely free! It's honestly one of the best things I've ever downloaded.
This is an article without the extension. See that messy format, and how the actual article content only takes up a fraction of the page? It's no wonder it took me 7 hours to write that paper.
The same article, this time with Mercury. The user-friendly settings are at the top, and the rest of the article is formatted vertically down the middle with no free-roaming pictures or words. How nice.
