Study game is strong this Saturday 😎
So I have often stumbled upon the words 만큼 and 이어 (the latter mainly in news articles) but when I looked it up on Naver Dictionary, there wasn't really an explanation. Do you know what it means? Thanks a lot in advance and sorry if this has been asked before!
I’m really not sure about the meaning of 이어; I have never come across it before. How do you usually see it used?
-만큼 is a particle that roughly means “as much as.” It can be used with nouns or verbs.
With a noun, -만큼 attaches directly to the end of the word.
Ex. 그 사람만큼 (as much as that person)
With a verb, modify the verb using the tense modifier as in the noun-modifying verb form (-ㄴ/은 for past tense, -은/는 for present tense, and -ㄹ/을 for future tense), and place 만큼 after this newly modified verb.
Ex. 그 사람을 좋아하는 만큼 (As much as I like that person)

(note2: please be cautious when using slang, since you may not know the appropriateness of certain words or the image you may give across when using certain words. as in your native language, korean slang differs by age group and some slang may make you sound vile or vapid. it’s important to first observe how natives use the slang and then use it yourself after a firmer understanding^^)
