Listen. If i had a nickel every time a show had a trio with a:

- Melee fighter without magical powers that relies on a specific weapon (hammer vs whip) and has a bit of stubble

- witch/magician who ends up in a canon relationship with the above melee fighter

- not-entirely human being with ridiculous nonhuman abilities and long (blonde-ish) hair. And has some sort of rivalry with the melee fighter

I’d have 2 nickels which ain’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice!

Very random and super niche (I think) firstprince plot bunny type thought I have is Henry deciding to, somewhat, fuck with Alex by calling him papí (term of endearment). I don’t think I’ve seen anything written or drawn involving this.

On a semi-side note:

Man, I love languages and pet names and when characters are bi/multilingual esp when Spanish is involved. There’s just so many great Spanish pet names !!

thinking about that micro-trope of a character where they have freckles/moles and the idea that those were the places that their lover kissed them in a previous life.

how, both in the book and movie, there’s talk of Henry’s plethora of moles (hah inbreeding). so, now I’m obsessed w the idea of Alex in another life being the cause.

also the intimacy of mapping out the moles on a person’s body with your mouth 🙏.
