A Really Fucking Vulgar Guide to Not Losing Your Shit in College (Condensed Version)
Bitches love to put things into lists. Moreover, bitches love numbered shit. Hereās some numbered shit in list format to help you not suck in higher education. Youāre welcome.
1. Go to class. Like 210% serious. I donāt give a shit if youāre a get by on nothing, A+ slacker. Youāre fucking paying for this crap so you might as well get the services owed to you. Take your ass to class even if you zone out 99% of the time. You know 1% more than you did when you walked up in there. Congrats, asshole.
2. All that free time you have during your first week of classes? Make it your bitch. Donāt just print the goddamn syllabus and be like all done. No motherfucker. Take a good fucking look at that assignment list. Whatās due next week? Yeah, do that shit now bc I know you donāt have anything else to do. Then when youāre coughing up a lung six weeks into the semester and donāt feel like getting your ass up to do that calculus homework, youāll remember this week. Youāll remember that youāve been a week ahead this whole damn semester. Pat yourself on the back, ass wipe.
3. Prepare yo self. No seriously. You got notes to print for class? Sure you could be like all those other bitches and just shove them into your backpack, or you could actually /prepare/ for class. Iām talking looking that shit over, identifying key concepts, getting a decent grasp of the material before your ass is even in class. You a STEM major? Yeah, make this kinda shit your life because now class is like one bomb ass group review session. Again, youāre welcome.
4. Snack like a motherfucker, but save that junk food shit for the weekends. From now on, you are a fucking health guru during the week or if youāre a slacker like me, at least on the days you have class. Fruits? Hell yeah. Pack some of those. Mind wandering in class? Snack on some apple slices. Canāt stay awake? Keep eating some almonds or some shit, but donāt be that bitch with the potato chips. Just donāt.
5. Read. Yeah, you heard me. Read and Iām not just talking assigned reading. I bet my left butt cheek that your campus library has /something/ of interest to you. Commuting and donāt want to drive out there? Library databases bro. Weāre in the digital age, motherfucker. Iād bet my other butt cheek that the shit you want is in a nice little PDF somewhere. But na man, you thinking maybe you want to go into computer science? Check out computer science books and eat them up bro. You donāt like reading them? Probably not the field for you. You a biology major in your second year? Yeah dumbass. Time to break out the bio books and not the ones your professor is shoving in your face. Amaze your friends and teachers with your out of class knowledge. Be a fucking star.

{ 7/100 Days of Productivity }
Today I:
+ Made a new weekly spread for my bullet journal.
+ Studied Korean on Duolingo for 30 minutes.
+ Finished my math portion for APES.
+ Uh yeah not that great productivity today. But something is better than nothing.
- Clean your backpack and organize your books, notebooks, laptop and study materials you will be needing for the week
- Clean your pencil pouch in case you have random things that have ended up there
- Meal prep- if this is something you donāt do at all, maybe see how it works for you for a week. If you are not a meal prepper, try setting aside the food youāll have for breakfast the next day
- Clean your bedroom and study space- this will help clear your mind. Having a clutter-free space will relax you aswell
- Update your bujo/agenda with the upcoming events of the week- also, remember to re-write any tasks that you havenāt done from the previous week
- Make a to-do-list for Monday- categorize according to priorities. Also, try starting your list with a task you know you will easily accomplish, such as āeat breakfastā, so that you are motivated to keep on crossing tasks
- Work out- maybe go for a walk to breath some fresh air and fuel your brain with oxygen, or do whatever helps you move a little bit more than what you usually do during the weekdays
- Have a set beauty routine- paint your nails if thatās what you like, apply a hair or face mask, exfoliate your skin, have a bubble bath, or do whatever you know that will relax you and set you in a good mood
- Review your goals, short, medium, and long term- if you have not written any, this is a good time. Itās always a good thing to check your accomplishments and remind yourself of your future plans. This will help motivate you and will give you an extra boost of energy for the start of the week to keep yourself focused on working on your dreams
- Check the weather for the next day and prepare the clothes, makeup, perfume, etc, that youāll be wearing for the week- having some extra time in the morning is always nice, as you donāt end up wasting 30 minutes of your time deciding what to wear (as it has happened to me plenty of times)
- Have a tray dedicated to store all the necessary things you canāt forget before leaving your house- gather all of them, such as your keys, your wallet, a water bottle or anything you know you will be needing and place them on the tray
- Water your plants- if you donāt have a set schedule for watering your plats, Sundays are the perfect days for that
- Empty your binders, notebooks or bag from lose pieces of paper and place them where they should be- this way youāll make sure youāre not misplacing any important information that you might need in the future
- Check your fridge and pantry, make a grocery list and go shopping- by doing this, youāll be certain that you wonāt be running out of the foods you mostly eat in the middle of the week. If your grocery shop is located at a walking distance, you can take advantage of this and use that opportunity to breath fresh air
- Finally, have some time for yourself!- watch a movie, catch up on your favourite show, watch some youtube videos, read a book, write on your journal, play your favourite instrument, have some tea, or do whatever makes you happy. Taking care of yourself will never not be a productive thing to do.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

when you find an academic source thatās perfect for your paper but itās behind a pay wall
Deciding to cite it anyway base on the abstract, knowing your professor probably wonāt go through and look up every source in works cited
if you guys want to read academic papers but theyāre behind a paywall, get the chrome extension Unpaywall. when you visit a site that requires you pay for their journal to view the article, the extension will look for other open access sites that will show you the article for free, and itās all completely legal. all that money goes to the publisher, the writer of the paper gets none of it. https://unpaywall.org
If you can find out an authorās name, contact them. They may be willing to email it to you.For free.Ā
Check researchgate.net and academia.edu! Also authorsā professional websites.

Youāre teleported to 44 BCE Rome in your everyday street clothes. Youāre brought before Caesar and he believes you might be from the future, hoping to bring him fortune. One day he questions you, asking āHow Do I Die?ā

100 level course prof: Attendance is mandatory, no phones allowed, 12 hours of homework/week, also we have 5 exams and one is in 9 days
500 level course prof: I illegally downloaded the texbook, Iāll send you the link. text me if you need anything. Do you guys wanna go kayaking?
FYI
100 level course prof: Usually an adjunct. Very smol and new to teaching. Lives with dept head up their butt and double checking everything they do
500 level course prof: Is presumed to be competent and is left alone to become the true agent of chaos all teachers yearn to be
This is a summary of college only using two pictures; expensive as hell.
Thatās my Sociology ābookā. In fact what it is is a piece of paper with codes written on it to allow me to access an electronic version of a book. I was told by my professor that I could not buy any other paperback version, or use another code, so I was left with no option other than buying a piece of paper for over $200. Best part about all this is my professor wrote the books; thereās something hilariously sadistic about that. So I pretty much doled out $200 for a current edition of an online textbook that is no different than an older, paperback edition of the same book for $5; yeah, I checked. My mistake for listening to my professor.
This is why we download.Ā

Iām color-blind, but I can pick out that [Yves Klein] blue anywhere. I wrote 30,000 words on this color, and I never grew tired of it. The pigment is staggering. Itās amazing that a color can be so emotional. One can only hope to achieve that intensity in acting.
all hail eddie redmayne, patron saint of academic bullshittery
You have been visited by the Eddie Redmayne of bullshit, reblog to have plenty of bullshit to spew on your final exams
This is the level of academic fuckery I strive to achieve
types of study breaks for every situation
if you realize youāve been studying for hours: grab a snack to refuel your body and watch a sitcom to refuel your brain. then back to the books.
if youāre feeling stressed out: take some deep breaths, text your friends, maybe stare at a wall for a few minutes. gather yourself.
if you canāt seem to focus: get moving and get outside. take out the garbage, check your mail box, maybe walk your dog. just get moving and get fresh air. itāll help bring you back.
if thereās something else going on in your life and you canāt get it off your mind: write down whatās going through your head, sort of like a diary entry. itāll help you work things out.
if youāre just mentally and physically exhausted: set a timer for 25-30 minutes and take a nap. any longer and youāll hit REM and youāll wake up feeling just as tired. once you wake up, get some caffeine in you.
if the material is boring as hell: find another way to study. see if thereās a crash course video online about it or draw out what youāre trying to learn in diagrams and pictures to make it fun.
if people around you wonāt shut up: listen to some music. soundtrack and classical music is always good because they wonāt absorb you as much as music with lyrics. white noise (like ocean waves, rain sounds, etc.) also works.
if you only half understand a concept: call/message a friend whoās not in the class and try to teach the material to them. this will help you mentally work through the material and will help you remember it as well.
