the last post i reblogged made me think, mogai labels are really harmful especially to kids. when i was 13/14 i identified as lithrosexual demiromantic or something…it was literally me denying myself of my bisexuality. i made up excuses to deny myself from feeling attraction to girls. then i said i was pan bc i didn’t want to “exclude” trans people…but bisexuality does not exclude anyone and pansexuality “others” trans people and is both transphobic and biphobic. children identifying as asexual is just uncomfortable. ace people saying shit like “we’re here we’re queer” is so disgusting and harmful. it is straight people feigning their way into the lgbt community and calling themselves a slur they have no right to reclaim. saying “oh the lgbt community is for outcasts or weirdos!!” you’re perpetuating the same rhetoric that homophobic and transphobic people use. you are alienating lgbt people and calling them weirdos or not normal.
Call me “uncomfortable” minors can say they’re Ace. Just let them be what they want to.
You’re allowed to change your label overtime,so maybe they’ll be “normal” later in life.
Sometimes you realize you’re ace through other things than just “I don’t want sex”
what does ace mean besides you don’t want sex and yeah i will call you uncomfortable by pushing a label based entirely around sex on children wtf
