I want to talk about this question in the Grimmy interview from a year ago. Thanks Shar (@tommosgun for the video).
“Does Harry Styles put his hair in a towel after he’s washed it?”
Immediately before the girl begins the question, Liam and Louis are in good spirits, smiling into the camera.
Louis reacts physically to the name being read aloud. His smile disappears and he closes his eyes like he’s putting on a mask.
“-Put his hair in a towel-”
His nose twitches slightly. And then he turns to look up at Harry (who was ill and typing answers on his phone as we all delightfully recall).
Louis turns to Nick who clarifies “like a towel turban” and then back to Harry again as Liam says “Yeah, he’s really good at that.”
He wants to hear what Harry says, but is trying to look so nonchalant.
Nick asks Harry to demonstrate. And then Louis’ mouth ticks up a notch before he can help it.
Then Harry shifts and reaches for a towel to demonstrate, while Liam is saying “this is legit how he used to get out of the shower on X Factor” and Louis can’t hold back anymore, he has to smile as he watches Harry’s every move.
And finally, he has to chime in as Harry attempts to put the towel on his head.”No time, no time,” but he’s so fond as he says it.
Harry gets the towel on and all bets are off with Louis’ media training. He beams.
Nick says “Oh my God, it’s like Anne’s hair!” And Louis is more fond and amused.
Harry acts exasperated and blows a raspberry with his lips.
And there’s no righting the ship. Louis is all in on the fond.
