âYou are the alchemist of your loneliness. You can create anything in its place.â
â Warsan Shire (via purplebuddhaquotes)
âThe real difficulty is to overcome how you think about yourself.â
â Maya Angelou (via goodreadss)
Pirelli Calendar 2006 - Natalia Vodianova by Mert & Marcus
The law of attraction is so real. I swear, once you establish yourself as powerful, or strong, or independent, or business minded, people like you will flock your way out of nowhere. And itâs just the universe reminding you that when you can see something beautiful in yourself, others can see it and admire it as well.
âHow one treats oneâs body and psyche speaks volumes about oneâs self-esteem: abusing body or soul with harmful chemicals, behaviors, work overload, lack of personal time and space all denote poor self-regard. All of these behaviors and attitudes reveal a fundamental stance towards the self that is conditional and devoid of true self respect. Self-esteem based on achievement has been called contingent self-esteem or acquired self-esteem. Unlike contingent self-esteem, true self-esteem has nothing to do with a self-evaluation on the basis of achievement or the lack of it. A person truly comfortable in his own skin doesnât say, âI am a worthy human being because I can do such and such,â but says, âI am a worthy human being whether or not I can do such and such.â Contingent self-esteem evaluates; true self-esteem accepts.â

âHappiness is not a checklist. A dream job, a fast car, even the love of another, will mean nothing at all if you have not yet found a way to feel full and content in your own mind and heart.â
â Â Beau Taplin, The ChecklistÂ

How to be a Genuine and Fun-Loving Person
1. Value and respect the fact that you are a totally unique individual, with your own destiny to fulfill. Believe in who you are, what you think and believe, your gifts and talents, and what you have to offer to those around you.
2. Refuse to give into negative feelings of anxiety, self doubt or insecurity. In fact, âfake it till you make itâ is often good advice ⌠So, ignore how you feel, and act the way you want to be. Choose to switch off the old tapes that keep on playing in your head, and try to visualize your goals and then push on and seek to reach them.
3. Donât pay any attention to what others think about you. The most important judgment should be yours, and yours alone. If you live in constant fear of what others think about you, it will only hold you back from realizing your potential. Also, youâre not a clone of others as each of us is different. Donât be afraid to be unique or to stand out against the crowd.
4. Accept that you have good points, and areas for growth. Weâre all a mix of different qualities, and flaws, and traits. We all make mistakes â itâs what you do with them matters â so embrace the fact youâre human and wonât always get it right.
5. Also, develop a tough skin and donât take insults personally. Look back and laugh â donât cower â or criticise yourself. It wonât help if youâre sensitive or worried all the time. Itâs better to forgive yourself, and then move on again.
6. Develop your ability to think creatively. Try out those new ideas, and choose to live outside the box.
7. Seek to enjoy this moment, and to live life in the present. Be grateful for the small things, and savour all you have.
