After stay-at-home:

Consider whether that trip is essential (Essential to your mental health counts).

Wear a mask any time you might have to interact with or be close to other humans, removing only to eat or drink. Always handle your mask by the sides, not the front. Carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer and sanitze your hands after removing a mask and after putting it back on. Put your mask in a paper bag or large envelope, NOT on a surface somebody else has to clean. Wash your mask every time you use it. The mask is not to protect you. It is to protect others. It is not a sign you are a coward.

Wash your hands before leaving the house and after returning.

Touch as little as possible.

If shopping, try to touch only merchandise you intend to buy. If you have to try clothes on, don’t put the ones you don’t want back on the shelf to be nice to the workers. They probably have to wash them. Get in, get out, don’t linger.

If you really want to eat out and the restaurant has outdoor seating, sit outside if the weather allows. Transmission rates are much higher indoors. (This is why some places are only allowing outdoor seating currently).

Continue to stay six feet from people not in your household as much as possible.

Don’t hug or shake hands.

At some point we will have sufficient effective treatments (remdesivir alone is not sufficient due to its cost and the fact that it doesn’t actually help everyone) that we’ll be able to start relaxing this. But this is how we’re going to have to live for a while.

Don’t think of it as everyone else being toxic. Because omg is that bad for you. I just read an article from somebody who’s fallen into that trap and the poor woman can barely function.

I’m finally doing it!!

I’ll be creating a collection of high end leashes to compliment my collars and cuffs. I’ve been wanting to make artisan #leashes for sooo long. This was a custom order to match the #submissivecollar from the #SoftAndSweetCollection.

Since the #collar has a gemstone setting, I’ve added a #softcollar in sterling chain. The chain can be locked (in the front or back) and can accommodate a slide with O ring to take the leash. I’m so pleased and excited. It’s absolutely gorgeous!!

I’ll be adding this to the website a few at a time, so watch for more!

These are Safe Shorts. They were made by Sandra Seilz after someone attempted to rape her. If the fabric is torn, an alarm will be sounded.

This is the Rape-aXe, invented by a South African doctor by the name of  Sonnet Ehlers. After interviewing a rape victim who wished she had teeth down there, she made this. If someone’s penis is inserted and pulled back out, the teeth will sink in, and can only be removed by a doctor.

The Killer Tampon (couldn’t find a site for it), made by retired anaesthetist Jaap Haumann. When penetration takes place, the sharp end will slice the offending appendage.

The Anti-Rape Belt (also couldn’t find a site), made by a group of Swedish teenagers led by Nadja Björk. It requires two hands to undo.

Anti-Rape Underwear/Bra (once again), as made by a group of Indian students. Will deliver an electric shock when met with unwanted advances, as well as sounding an alarm.

Undercover Colours. Made by 4 male undergraduates at North Carolina U, they change colours when in contact with chemicals or drugs that cause unconsciousness. Used in case you’re wary that your drink has been roofied.

These are just tools to help, but in addition to being mindful of your situations and staying safe, they can help when the worst happens.
