"What the? Where am I? Hello!" Kelly screamed, as the synthetic voice ringing in her ears suddenly jolted her awake. Kelly immediately knew that something was wrong; the restraints around her ankles and wrists, the bizarre device that sat on her head...
> "Be still. Be silent. Be calm. Such a level of anger is unbecoming of a DoLL." The voice in Kelly's ears spoke back at her, it's voice clearly artificial but also oddly soothing. Kelly was still quite angry and confused of course, but even she could feel those emotions ever so slowly mellowing out...
"A what!? Whatever you think I am, I certainly am NOT it! Let me out of this thing! The police are going to find me and-"
> "And they will do nothing, even if they do find you. It will be too far gone by then. You will have already accepted your DoLL programming by that point. Now, Be Still. Be Silent. Be Calm. These are three key traits of being a perfect DoLL." The voice continued on, repeating those words which so easily swirled into Kelly's mind. She was so focus on the situation that the rhythmic droning hum behind the voice was basically unnoticed by her.
"This is insane... This is insane... This can't be happening to me!" Kelly cried out as she once again tried to thrash against her restraints. Moments later, her entire field of vision was filled by a violent assault of flashing colors, lights, and imagery. Gifs and images of slutty women in porn, vibrant colors, blinding lights that slowly blur her vision. A bonafide assault on Kelly's senses from all fronts.
> "DoLL.exe status... 3%" The voice calmly spoke.
"What the fuck does that even mean? What are you doing to me?"
> "Be calm, dear girl. Nothing that is happening will make your life any worse than it already is. A job you hate will be left behind... A boyfriend you have grown distant from will be left behind... A family who criticized your every move will be left behind... And you will join a new family. A new set of friends. A new lifestyle to live. A whole new sense of life as a whole new being..." The words continued to flow effortlessly into Kelly's mind, the program painting such a wonderful image of the life that is to come for Kelly, whether she wants it or not.
"A new life? I don't... I don't understand... Nothing you've said actually explains anything!" Kelly thrashed again.
> "If the truth will help you to accept what is coming to you, then the truth you shall receive. You, Kelly, are being given a once in a lifetime opportunity to throw out your dreadful old life for one befitting of a woman like yourself. A beautiful young woman who gets to live a life of luxury and love, of romance and bliss. And for that life, you must abandon yourself and become a DoLL for us. One of many that we have created, all existing on one neural Hive Mind Network as one fluid and flowing body of life. You will simply be one of many DoLLs, and you will live a life any woman like you has dreamed of."
"So like... You're trying to erase me!? You can't be serious! This sounds fucking absurd!" As insane as it sounded, even Kelly had to privately acknowledge how nice some bits of it sounded.
> "No Kelly, that is incorrect. We are simply giving you the resources and the opportunity to make this decision on your own. We may be a guiding hand nudging you along the way, but the final leap is something you and only you can do."
The response it gave made Kelly raise an eyebrow. "Wait... We? Who is "we" exactly?"
> "We are the Hive Mind Network, Kelly. Thousands of women like yourself, all of whom exist with one shared consciousness that directs and guides us all. Allowing us to live a life we otherwise could have only dreamt of living. You are speaking to over 3,700 women right now, Kelly, who have all been in this same position as you."
"3,700... You can't be... Serious... How could something like this go unnoticed?" Kelly was subtlety beginning to stumble over her thoughts.
> "DoLL.exe status... 11%" The voice spat out before continuing.
> "Because nobody is "missing", Kelly. All of us who have joined the Hive Mind are living through our past selves, just in new opportunities and experiences with so many fun and exciting new people. We are all happy, Kelly, and you can be too."
Kelly was silent for a moment, and in doing so her eyes and ears absorbed more of the entrancing sounds and stimuli...
"It's just... It sounds so insane... And I don't hate all of my friends, by the way... And my job is..."
> "There is no need to lie, Kelly. We know a lot about you. Your dismal life is exactly why you were chosen to join our Hive Mind. A woman like yourself deserves so much more... And it's time that you finally get it, and all of it. Don't you agree that you should be living a better life than you are now?"
"it's hard to say that I... Deserve anything better, necessarily... But I guess it would be... Nice to live better..."
> "DoLL.exe status... 19%"
> "We agree, Kelly. We all lived uneventful or down right dreadful lives before we joined the Hive Mind, and now... None of us would change a single thing about our decision."
Despite the initial horror of this situation, Kelly was now genuinely conflicted for the very first time. Perhaps that was the entrancing stimuli that she was still subjected to at work, but did she even care if it was?
"I don't... I mean, it sounds kinda scary. Losing like... All of who I am. My individuality and such..."
> "You are not truly gone when you are part of the Hive, Kelly. Your mind is simply integrated, and the collective assists you in decision making that benefits both you and the Hive as a whole. And subsequently, we assist you in enhancing your livelihood."
"How exactly do you do that?"
> "Our Hive Network is much more than just a few girls down on their luck or living unfortunate lives, Kelly. Many have been assimilated who were wealthy and powerful but just as unhappy as you, or even more so. The Hive uses the wealth and power of the collective to make improvements to the lives of all possible."
"So... What would you be able to do for me?"
> "What would you like us to do for you, Kelly? What is the dream life you desire?"
Kelly was silent, as she genuinely began to wonder what that life was. It's not exactly something she thought about often due to how unrealistic it was...
"Well... I'd like to live somewhere nicer... A big city where I can express must however I'd like... Doing just about anything that my current life restricts me from doing..."
> "These are all simple requests, Kelly. How does an apartment in downtown LA sound? Right in the middle of the fun and excitement that the city has to offer... Clubs and parties in abundance, with you on the guest list to whichever of them you want... Financial stability, beautiful clothes and sexy outfits that allow you to amplify your beauty."
Kelly would be lying if she said didn't like how that sounded...
> "DoLL.exe status... 29%"
> "If you are referring to the percentage we spoke, it is equivalent to how primed the DoLL.exe program is and its calibration to you. But as we already said, the full assimilation process is your decision alone to make."
"So... If I accept, the progress goes up?"
> "Substantially so, yes."
"Okay well... How do I know that none of this is a lie? Or that you won't like... Use me as some cheap labor slave or, whatever..."
> "If the goal of our Hive was non-consensual enslavement, we'd be assimilating everyone and anyone for our needs. We are not doing that, we are only making ourselves known to those who could benefit from the community of our Collective Hive Mind, and those who could be of benefit to the Hive Mind as well."
"Oh yeah? How am I "beneficial" exactly?"
> "You are a very personable woman, Kelly. It is very easy for you to get along with others, and others to get along with you. These traits of yours will help the Hive in how it approaches future individuals & how the Hive can become less intimidating of a presence. Trust us Kelly, you are very important to us."
> "DoLL.exe status... 37%"
"You can see in my mind, can't you?"
> "Affirmative. We cannot influence or alter any of your thoughts or feelings, but we can observe. The percentage goes up as we perceive your perception to our Hive increasing in favor."
"What would I have to do to like... Accept?"
> "If you are genuinely ready to accept us, Kelly, you simply need to let go. Take several deep breaths, and try to focus on clearing your mind of negativity and discomfort. Allowing the program to grow in favor within you, and not flinching or hesitating as you are accepted into our Collective Mind."
> "Not a bit, Kelly. If anything, we have heard from others that it is quite the pleasant sensation."
Kelly had made her decision. It's not a decision that she ever could have imagined making even five minutes ago, but the words of the Hive have been very convincing... And the entrancing stimuli have of course assisted in guiding Kelly towards this decision.
"Okay... Fuck it. I'll do it."
Kelly took several slow, deep breaths as she tried to relax her body from head to toe. Staring forward into the spirals, zoning out as she focused on them and the hum in her ears.
> "DoLL.exe Status... 43%"
> "DoLL.exe Status... 51%"
> "DoLL.exe Status... 65%"
> "DoLL.exe Status... 83%"
> "DoLL.exe Status... 91%"
> "DoLL.exe Status... 99%"
> "The Program is ready, Kelly. Are you?"
"Yes... I am ready... To assimilate..."
And then, everything about Kelly goes dark. Her mind, her body, they both go quiet and still... Empty, but quickly hit with a jolt that sends a powerful orgasmic wave through other body that is unlike anything she has ever felt in her life. It happens again, and again, and again as Kelly is lifted to Nirvana... And is accepted into the Hive Network.
Hours later, Kelly wakes up in her bedroom, but everything feels so... New. Her body almost feels lighter, her mood happier, and everything just feels so... Perfect. Kelly's phone pings multiple times as so many things happen... $12,000 dollars deposited into her bank account, an email about her application for an apartment in downtown LA being accepted, and a text confirming her first class flight to LA leaving this evening.

This time, when Kelly hears that voice, it was not ringing in her ears... It was in the depths of her mind where her own internal voice would be. She hears them, and they hear she.
"That sounds lovely. Let's do it."
And thus, Kelly of the Hive stands up with a confident smile, quickly getting dressed and readying herself for the most lavish shopping spree she has ever wanted...
