he loves it, the rush of adrenaline as he holds your quickened heartbeat between his teeth, your tremble as you anticipate the bite, the gasp you let out at the burst of pain at your neck, your thigh, your wrist, anywhere you’ll let him feed from.
he wishes he could live in the moan you let out when the painful puncture of his fangs ebbs into pleasure. each deep pull of your blood fills his mouth with dizzying sweetness that has you both sighing. even before he tasted you, he knew he’d never want to have anything but you ever again.
he loves the way your skin darkens, however imperceptibly, around the bite after he’s done, he loves the way it takes you ages to heal, his claim on you visible for at least a week.
he might never be able to admit it out loud, but he loves the feeling of power, too. he loves knowing that he has the strength to protect you, that you trust him with his preternatural abilities. he loves that you hold him like he isn’t a monster.
