Right now, I have 4 flights booked, and am looking into 2 more. I think I feel most comfortable when I know when I will next be in the sky.

In less than 2 weeks now...
In less than 2 months I will be over 10 000 km away...

Prescriptions for Kindness
Oh malaria medication. I have never had malaria, nor do I ever want to, but I must say that preventing it comes with its own pains. Having been to the same area as I will be travelling before, I have some experience with Malarone, so I requested this again when I was given the option (I survived it once, only some really crazy dreams worse-for-wear...). However- I got a call from Shopper’s where I filed my prescription, to let me know that the Malarone that I requested, enough for nearly 300 days, would cost about $1000. Yay for unpaid internships, but that was a bit too much. They had called just to check that I really wanted to pay that much, as I no longer have health coverage since I graduated. I requested that they just hold my prescriptions until I could talk with one of them- and when I went in to do so, it was such a great experience! The pharmacist specializes in travel and was able to tell me so much about the two drugs that I was considering, and was willing to let me do a trial of the other to make sure that I could tolerate it- It is only $200 for 8 months, but that $800 in savings means nothing if I cannot function on it >.< I am already connecting with so many kind souls in this journey; it really makes me more confident and excited to do this and experience all that will come my way in the next year.
