thinking about frank constantly calling peter “kid” and allowing peter into his home despite being someone who does things on his own. thinking about frank feeling protective enough over peter to go and risk his life to have his back. thinking about the horror on frank’s face when he realized he shot peter. peter who is someone’s son. peter who has saved his ass. peter who was brave enough to jump in front of that bullet. peter who is around the age of his daughters if they were still alive. thinking about the fact that frank was reliving his worst day through that moment, where he once again saw himself as the villain.

One thing I love about Brand New Day is that Peter really does feel older. He's not a teenager anymore, he's an adult and an adult who has had to be entirely self-sufficient. And you feel that in the way he carries himself and the way he interacts with other characters, especially the detective and Frank.
