I want to read a paper on queer people using astrology as a new way of categorizing people because the signs are basically the 12 genders of the 21st century and allow for more fluidity and their implications havenât been incoperated into societal norms that police queer people. I donât know if any of this makes sense Iâm

Clueless (1995)
In Moomin, children who are abused turn invisible. Ninny was abused by her former caretaker so much she lost her voice and faded away, so the Moomins take her in and slowly help her heal and regain her confidence through love and compassion. Tove Jansson wrote âThank you for making me visible againâ in Tuulikki PietilĂ€âs, her wife, copy of the novel
This story will be getting adapted in Moominvalley 2019 as well

MEASLES UPDATE 2/23/19
This is unacceptable. Measles is still out there and hurting people. We really should not be seeing measles in this day and age, since medical technology has progressed to the point where we have the luxury of long life. Thereâs been more of a push than ever to overturn vaccination exemptions, and at this point, theyâre needed more than ever.
These rich white assholes donât vaccinate their kids then bring said unvaccinated kids on vacation to poor brown countries and spread their diseases to children whose parents couldnât afford to vaccinate them. Worse still, these monsters got away scotch free without having to pay a dime for the medical expenses & horror these innocent families have to go through. The outbreak could also stifle their income because tourists now donât want to travel to an area with an active outbreak.
This is fucking peak evil whiteness. If a brown person were patient zero in any of them European/the US, there have been scanners & K-9 at the airports, and travel advisory would have been issued discouraging their people from traveling to x country suspected of having an outbreak. But poor, global south countries can not fucking afford to keep these walking death incubators out or theyâll starve.
VACCINATE YOUR FUCKING KIDS
Anti-vaxxers are some of the most selfish people Iâve ever encountered. They donât care about being healthy, or keeping their kids healthy. Many flat out acknowledge they rely on herd immunity to protect their kids, rather than vaccinate themselves. Pointing out that âhey, unvaccinated people introduce diseases in areas that previously did not have such diseaseâ doesnât phase them. They - and lets be real, they is pretty much stupid white people with money - only care about being seen or perceived as this âamazing groundbreaking parentâ, whether itâs true or not. Completely ignoring the fact that theyâre not only putting their child in danger, but literally everyone around them.
Selfish motherfuckers

the most life-changing customer iâve ever had at work was a guy who came up to me and my coworker when we were at cash and said âhey kidsâŠ. wanna see something?â
and I said sure because why the fuck not, iâm here for a good time not a long time, and this motherfucker pulled a railroad spike out of his pocket.
A GODDAMN
ANTIQUE
RAILROAD
SPIKE
It was a fucking foot long chunk of steel that weighed about five pounds on its own so i was like âhuhâŠ.. neatâ
and he said âwait. thereâs moreâ and he took out a screwdriver. inlaid into the head of the spike. âthings arenât always as they appearâ he said as he unscrewed the bit and pulled out of this goddamn railroad spike
a statue
a tiny, tiny golden statue stood on the base of this flathead screw. it was a tiny golden man standing next to a tiny golden flower with gemstones in the petals. the whole thing was smaller than my thumbnail is tall. it was detailed enough that the tiny man had facial features. it was amazing.
âoh my god,â i said. âhow long did it take you to make that?â
âhereâs a word of advice,â he said, ânever answer that question when people ask it. it devalues your work. youâll get faster and better at things, and be able to make more art in less time. they donât need to know about the process, just the productâ.
and he left and thatâs the one artistic piece of advice i definitely wanna hold to.
donât tell people how long it takes to make shit.
