sorting blogs you follow by when they last updated
a suggestion– I follow a ton of blogs, and i want to be able to unfollow the blogs that haven’t posted anything in a while. right now, i can only sort blogs by the date that i followed them, but i’d find it more convenient to sort them by the date when they last posted something, so that i can quickly unfollow the ones that haven’t posted in months without having to look through every single blog.
Ad reblogs
Dear Tumblr people, if you’re going to show us (sometimes cool) ads, at least make them rebloggable. There’s an amazing marketing opportunity there.
Concerning the deletion of a post
It would be very convenient if, when we want to delete our own posts from our blog, the reblogs of it could be deleted as well.
'Likes' Page Suggestion
Hi guys! It would be so lovely if ya’ll made a feature on our ‘likes’ page that allows us to scroll immediately to the bottom just like there is an arrow that immediately shoots us up to the beginning of our likes. For those of us who have a lot of 'likes’ and those of us who 'like’ things for future reference.. it’d be really nice to not have to scroll for eons just to get to our very first 'like’. PLEASE :)
Please allow us to switch our side blog into our primary one, or add more functions for side blogs.
Folders
Having a way to categorize likes or build folders to separate different genera of likes would be great. Scrolling constantly through likes to find one from ages ago is tiring and takes a lot of time. So folders would be nice. Thank you.
Improve Reblog Workflow
Currently when i see a post and want to reblog it to my blogs, it opens up in a popup box which is very intrusive and not very user friendly.I mean I already saw the post so what’s the point of showing it to me again,
Instead please change this workflow . For example when user clicks on reblog button instead of opening whole post in popup, just expand an area below post to select blog and enter a comment. Thanks.
replies to comments
how about being able to reply back to comments on our post. many times people leave a nice comment(reply) and i want to leave a response or add onto their thoughts.
Volume control for playback of MP3s...
I’d like to request that Tumblr incorporate some kind of volume control for posts that feature audio files. It seems a more expedient and user-friendly way to do it, rather than relying on the person to have to manually adjust volume on their computer’s/phone’s/tablet’s speakers. Thanks!
PLEASE maybe auto save posts while you take a break typing or something as a back-up. I was just writing a pretty lengthy post however my chrome took a crap and closed all my tabs. When it restored my tabs tumblr came back but not all of what I wrote. Please auto-save, so in such an event I could simply go into my drafts and find it ;-;
Suggestion for original hashtags staying on reblogs.
When ever I use tumblr I like to reblog things but heres what I noticed. When you reblog the hashtags from the post you reblogged don’t get reblogged with it. And it’s kinda annoying because I have to type the original hashtags myself. So I would like to suggest making an option for keeping the hashtags with reblogs or just keep the hashtags in general.
I have asked many of my friends who use tumblr and they agree that the fact original hashtags don’t stay on a reblog and we have to re add the hashes ourselves is really annoying and stupid that the original hashtags don’t stay on to begin with.
Me and my friends really hope that could be fixed. I’m sure lots of the many users who use tumblr reblog agree.
It would be great if you could pop out messages into full screens and then add a search function within.
Searching through likes
PLEASE MAKE IT EASIER TO LOOK THROUGH OUR LIKES (PAGE NUMBERS AT BOTTOM, OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT). IT’S SUCH A TEDIOUS TASK TO DO RIGHT NOW. PLEASE P L E A S E
A way to post a post to multiple blogs. Sometimes a want to post to more than one blog and I either have to go through the whole process for each blog if it’s a picture or video, or I have to click on each and copy and paste. Pleeaaassseee
I was thinking you should make it so you can video chat with the person your chatting with, and when you face chat you could have Tumblr themed digital masks just to have fun with and be able to record conversations. but before you record there will be a notification sent to the other person to let them know your recording, and they have to press a “i agree” button for the recording to start or if they don’t want to be recorded then they can press a “ignore request” button so the feature isn’t misused.
You tend to only suggest blogs that already have a large following. I would love for there to be suggestions of smaller less known blogs so that everyone can have an easier opportunity to gain more followers. Along with searched for posts. I feel like the default setting shouldn't be posts that have been seen the most so that less seen posts can have as much of a chance also.
