A lot of people don't realize what is going on in the finale of Page's magnum opus that is STH live. So let me tell y'all as a connoisseur of music theory. What Page is doing is fingerpicking an incredibly hard barre chord progression with slides while keeping perfect rhythm with bonham and being completely stoned on top of that.

That is fucking unheard of. It is so hard to do if you're high as hell and can barely stand.

It sounds so good and especially with page's exhausted gestures

This is the holy grail of craftsmanship.

I'd wager it'd be easier to build the tower of Babylon than do something like this live.

It is with deep regret that I feel obliged to announce that rumors of a rare joke by Jimmy Page appear to be unfounded.

Page’s only joke was reported to have been made to his beloved Robert during, naturally, a guitar tuning related situation. It appears that although Robert did attempt to elicit the audiences support for Jimmy’s technical hitch, Jimmy was nothing but grateful.
