Ingredients: 1 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 2 tablespoons liquid smoke. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1 lb extra firm tofu, pressed and sliced thinly.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add tofu slices to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best flavor. Preheat oven to 200F 95C. Place marinated tofu slices on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 2-3 hours, flipping halfway through, until tofu is dried and slightly chewy. Allow jerky to cool before storing in an airtight container.
