Looking at that feather au fic and I really would like to mention that this is probably a huge turning point in Mel and Ellieâs relationship. Like from then in Elizabeth would start getting bolder and bolder with Meliodas, especially in regards to his feathers and other demonic traits she discovers about him. Meanwhile Mel gets steadily more and more shy because A) Elizabeth is outright manhandling him! Practically groping him! And B) he super shy about his demon heritage and here Elizabeth is dragging it out for everyone to see in the most embarrassing ways possible⊠and instead of being scared like he thought theyâd be⊠they think itâs cute! I mean, who looks at a demon and think itâs cute!? Apparently the Seven Deadly Sins and half the Kingdom of Liones, especially the Royal Family!
Absolutely! She loves to cuddle him, and run her hands through his feathers. They're so soft, and she can feel Mel quietly purring at her touch. Mels face becomes red as a tomato everytime she does, bc 1) his mate his touching him and 2) he's 99% sure she's pressing her boobs into him on purpose, not just bc they happen to be on her chest. And she absolutely does, bc he does this adorable little squeak every single time <3
For the injured Meliodas AU, I imagine when the secret gets out a bit more he gets so tired of all the questions he just makes a "everything you need to know about demons" class/book so people can leave him alone XD
ngl, that would be pretty funny
on the other hand, i'm not sure how comfortable Meliodas would be about sharing literally anything about being a demon. So maybe the book would just contain information to clear up popular misconceptions like "no, demons are not born evil" and other such things (i just can't think of any more rn)
Okay, so he makes a book with emphasis on "everything you *need* to know about demons"
And it's one page and simply says
"No, demons are not born evil, leave me alone I'm tired"
yeah, he'd absolutely do that lmao
at some point later in the future, like when he becomes king of Liones later, i can imagine him releasing an updated version that actually details some stuff about demons and their culture.
He'd probably need Zeldris though and do a lot of research on his own as well, because i don't know how much value their father placed on his new body and backup plan learning what demons *do*. Or if the DK himself even participated, plus due to the ongoing war back then, i wonder if Mel and Zel even had opportunity to participate in their own culture, as weird as that maybe sounds.

people who claim that platonic relationships aren't as important as romantic ones have never had to spend the formative ears of their lives outcasted and friendless, don't remember the relief and euphoria of finally finding a group of people, or even just a single person who makes you feel like maybe humanity isn't as bad as you thought. Of course you take your platonic relationships for granted, you don't know what its like to be without them.
I should be allowed to bite people as a little treat, no I will not elaborate
Try and be normal in my fathers car when I see a Sonic movie 3 ad on a bus and aggressively take photos before we pass it challenge
I feel like whatâs so sick about seeing this ad on a bus is that in 2020 a lot of us were distraught and fighting for our lives to defend the initial Sonic design to some capacity and now Shadows the main villain of the 3rd fucking movie and everyoneâs excited for it
Like itâs just a holy shit look how far weâve come kinda realisation

Hey, I am new to tumblr so I hope I am doing this rightâŠbut I have recently read through all the Nnt aus on your blog and I have thoughts about one of them that I wanted to share, so I hope you like them even if you donât seem to be active in the fandom anymore.
For the post holy war au where Meliodas and Zeldris were babies during the holy war escaped the seal and were raised by Chandler and Cusack afterwards: I think it would be fun if the Ten Commandments showed up, though I have no idea who would release them in this timeline or what the exact line up would be considering meliodas killed 2 or 3 in the canon timeline and Zeldris was the one who recruited Gloxinia and Drole. The commandments would probably have the same plan as in canon and are either not aware Mel and Zel were born or assume they were killed by the goddesses alongside chandler and Cusack, but either way they would not recognize Mel and zel as they are now. From Mel and Zelâs side, I imagine that they would sense the commandments and deduce that the magic had to come from powerful demons even though they donât know many demons and would go seek them out immediately. When they meet I have two ideas on how it could go. Either they start asking a million questions at once, barely pausing to breath in their enthusiasm at meeting other demons. Or, what I can also imagine, is that Chandler and Cusack taught Mel and Zel how they should interact with other demons if they ever meet one, except it was less âhow do you make friends?â and more what they thought was appropriate behavior for demon princes. Which is more along the lines of âbeat anyone who shows the slightest bit of disrespect into submissionâ, (they had this lesson before meliodas snuck out and started visiting liones). I feel Mel and Zel would have had enough ânormalâ socialization in Liones to know better at this point in the story, but I still think it would be hilarious if Mel and Zel almost immediately overpower the commandments with for example that move meliodas used to press Zeldris and Estarossa into ground in S3. Because of course neither of them have any inclination to have others submit to them in fear, they are doing it because their âdadsâ said this is what they were supposed to be doing in this situation. So they are smiling brightly while doing it, feeling quite proud of themselves (you know in that âdad, look! I did it!â kind of way).
Either way it is a bit of a chaotic mess, because the commandments have no idea who these two demons are and where they came from. The commandments are quite distracted from their original plans and have no idea how to interact with children that are so innocent and ignorant to the realities of war and it takes a bit before Mel and Zel let enough information slip for one of the smarter commandments to put the pieces together.
mmmh this got quite long đ€, but anyway I hope you like my addition and that I did this correctly đ . Honestly, I am not even sure what I expect you to do with this.
hey, welcome to tumblr^^
and yeah, I'm not really in the fandom anymore, but every once in a while, i see someone mass liking the nnt au posts and i won't lie, it does kinda bring a smile to my face to know that people are still enjoying those^^
unfortunately, i only vaguely remember the au you're describing, but it would probably be pretty interesting. Especially if these new/old commandments keep trying to find Mel and Zel and where they live, but never can due to Cusak and Chandlers magic.
Do Mel and Zel tell their dads about the other demons they met though? Feels like something significant they should mention, unless they told them to never go near other demons, although since they did teach them how to act around other demons, that doesn't seem likely.
Regardless, if the commandments try to tell Mel and Zel about what happened in the past with the demon race being sealed away, the two bros might have some questions for their caretakers, who may not have told them about everything in an effort to spare their innocence, or just because they were too young to really know or grasp the reality of what happened back then.
Feather AU
Theyâre not really in order, but the first post explains most of it, so if you read that, you should be good to go. I think I linked all posts, but if i missed one and you happen to come across it, feel free to let me know and iâll add it^^
The Post That Started It All
Mels feathers first grow in (And everyone loves it)
A fic by soniclozdplove: After Mels revival, he tries to cut off his tail, like every other time he revived, but gets interrupted.
The commandments find out
Mel has to get used to his tail all over again
About Mel, Zel and Eli being demigods (Feather Au comes a bit later in that one)
In Fraudrins final battle, he blabbers that Mel is a kid. Mel has to cope with everyone suddenly knowing
Mel plays a friendly game with the commandments and ends up injured
Berserk, Assault Mode, Indura and Puragtory Dragon Mel but with feathers
Just imagine Meliodas trying to hide his heightened senses like... he has a reputation for being friendly and cheerful, but also a bit aloof and very mysterious. That is straight up canon. So the Sins KNOW something is up with the Captain, he often gets overwhelmed with loud noises, has migraines from bright lights, and a sensitive nose. But they never put it together that this is because Meliodas has inherently stronger senses, not until the demon reveal. It's not uncommon for someone who's got sensory sensitivity to deal with migraines and vice versa
Yes to all of this, though I don't think he'd let the sins know that he has migraines or gets overwhelmed. If possible, I think he would much rather avoid situations like that as much as he can.
And I don't know how many really bright lights there even are in Liones, since most of their light sources seem to be from torches and other fire-adjacent sources, and fire is actually not that bright, at least not when compared to the average lightbulb that we have now. Although I can imagine him avoiding places with really bright colors that the sunlight bounces off of.
He loves to drink, but when it's a party with more people than just the sins, he would probably excuse himself relatively early compared to everyone else. Once, they pushed him to stay longer and longer and he was so overwhelmed, he snapped and broke some furniture. that was the first and the last time anyone tried to make him stay longer in a big gathering. And let's be honest, it was probably a drunk Ban who tried to keep him there.
Because of his sensitive nose, his room in the barracks is probably filled to the brim with pots of good-smelling plants. It's like a garden in there. Merlin probably tried to sneak one or two additional plants in there as well that she needed to keep for research. And Mel might've been a little bit of a clean freak bc of this, too, always making sure that he himself was washed, but also the other Sins, since he would be the most aware of when they smelled bad. He had Merlin to back him up on why they should wash regularly, too, thank the stars.
If demons have sensitive hearing I imagine Meliodas had some trouble sometimes with getting overwhelmed sometimes
definitely, and i doubt he always had the opportunity to take a break. I can imagine him getting so overwhelmed that he would flip out at whoever is around him and not exactly beating the "Sin of Wrath" allegations (in Liones). I don't think he would lose control to the point of hurting or killing people though.
Hi! we're you you the person who wrote the thing about meliodas passing his crown on to zeldris ? Because I can't find it and would really like to read it again.
i don't think I was, i mostly write stuff involving Meliodas, less Zeldris... but i don't remember everything I've ever written either, so idk.
@demonprincezeldris do you happen to know anything about this?
Do you think Mel's hearing is sensitive and painful, I mean Meliodas is a demon not only that he is also a Prince and the most powerful demon of all he can hear 50x better than a human and a regular demon.
He can hear heartbeats and people's breathing from a mile away and the part when I said that it will be sensitive and painful is that imagine by stouting amd explosion Mel feels like his eardrum are going to explode because of it.
I'm 100% positive that things that are just kinda loud to humans are pretty painful for Meliodas. Hell, even most demons didn't have hearing as sensitive as his. It took some training just to listen to other demons speak normally without flinching, and the moment he learned to somewhat control his magic, he intentionally made his hearing less sensitive, especially in crowded places.
The other commandments were conscious of the princes issues thanks to old Gowther recognizing what was up with him. He also gave him earplugs that could drown out most of the volume. They were a huge relief for Meliodas, because even though he could handle this problem with his magic, it was also draining him constantly.
It proved an advantage on the battlefield though. He was mainly focused on, ya know, not dying and the many attacks usually directed towards him. In that chaotic environment, he could filter out unimportant sounds and important sounds, easily making him one of if not the best warrior in the entire clan (though of course there were many other factors in that, too).
And like, since everyone knows upfront about Meliodas being a demon than that means certain aspects of how they interact with him change. Case in point, Ban's meeting. The man outright tries to kill Meliodas because he'd heard Liones' new pet demon was coming to try to recruit him.
Mwliodas kicks his ass and putright tells him he knows how he feels because the demon clan destroyed his mate right in front of him too. This is what eventually gets through to him.
With King he neither likes nor trusts Meliodas at first which Mel was ok with, he's used to it. He mainly joined cuz Diane was with the Sins. It isn't until Kkng spots a group of Knights harassing Meliodas for being a demon and Meliodasbjsut letting them go so far as to throw sharp rocks at him without defending himself that he changes his mind.
Merlin doesn't really change but she is more eager to showoff her knowledge on the demon clan, especially when it results in Meliodas' embarrassment. She is also kot afraid to drag her stupid father kicking a screaming into bed or to the dinner table when he skips sleep/meals.
Diane is ecstatic to have a eon on the team! While it's true she'd rather be a part of the Sins than be with the Giant Clan at this point, there's no denying there's a certain rift between her and the rest of the Sins on a cultural level by virtue of her being a creature form a warlike race known to be considered monsters by humans. Meliodas is the only other person who would understand that considering his own race's reputation.
Gowther never changes. Ever. Only the topic of news questions changes.
Escanor is... well, he doesn't change much either but he take awhile for hia tomid form to warm up to Meliodas.
Even after getting his ass kicked, Ban takes a bit to really warm up to Mel.
King gets angry that Mel just takes the abuse the holy knights throw at him and doesn't stand up for himself. Until Mel explains that if he did, he would immediately be labeled a danger to everyone and probably be even more bullied.
While Mel himself is reluctant to tell anyone much of anything, especially regarding his demonic needs, Merlin has no qualms about the opposite and is probably the main reason Mel hadn't collapsed from lack of sleep/food two weeks after coming to Liones.
Diane of course doesn't wish any kind of harm on her Captain, but is still glad she's not the only one with the stigma of a clan more commonly involved in war. The bond a lot over this.
Gowther... is Gowther. You're right, he never changes.
Yes to Escanor as well, though he's still afraid of asking Meliodas anything pertaining to his species. He's curious, but he's afraid of offending or hurting Meliodas without meaning to.
Zeldris considered the matter before nodding,
"I think I shall. I'm... curious I suppose."
Really he just wanted to see what the kingdom as a whole thought of his brother. Perhaps he could take the opportunity to get to know Meliodas as... Straw. Perhaps convince him to return to the demon realm or wherever it may be that they end up settling, afterall he spoke to the Commandments and they seemed willing to let bygones be considering the circumstances.
Elizabeth clapped, spleased with the prince's decision,
"I'm so happy! I'm sure Straw has a lot of questions and would love to get tokbow his brother... um, after he gets used to you of course. He's awfully timid and you didn't... really have the best first impression."
This is something Zeldris knew well. Not about the timid nature of his brother, as surprising as it is to learn considering his personality from before, but the fact that he had botched his first meeting with his brother so terribly? This is something that had eaten at him the entire time during Meliodas' rest and a major reason why he is so curious about him now. He knew 'Straw' was scared of him, it didn't take a mind reader to figure that out, and he felt very regretful about being the cause of such. Gelda would have been disappointed in him.
Amd then there's Gelda to think about. Meliodas had saved her, hidden her away and kept her safe for him. He had no obligation to do so, in fact he would have been well within his rights to judt kill her considering what the Sins were saying about the event. But he didn't, he protected her despite his mission to destroy her coven, despite knowing his brother had despised him and possibly even because she was his mate. Which means he owed it to him.
He probably owed a lot to his brother when he thought back on the matter.
It was very long ago, but Zeldris often after their father had yelled at Zeldris, when he next saw Meliodas, he saw him trying to hide an injury. Especially when Zeldris was around. He had chalked it up to the DK being harsher on Meliodas since he was the crown prince, but with this new confirmation that Meliodas might've loved him, even if he didn't show it, he might've been protecting him.
He hoped Straw would regain his memories soon so he could ask him about it. And at some point, maybe he could even properly bond with him while their father wasn't around. He hoped Meliodas wanted to do the same.
"Yeah... sorry about that...", Zeldris mumbled.
"That's okay, I didn't really make the best first impression either when you had to... help me", Straw said, getting back into his chair.
Oh I didn't talk about Diane much did I. Ahe knew almost immediately that Melildas was a demon, at least on their second meeting. The topic never came up on their first meeting but she really didn't enjoy the lunch she had with him, the second meeting when Meliodas came to her trial was different though. When he said be wanted her foe the Aeven Deadly Sins the Knights who had killed Matrkna began to jeer at him. They knew once Melkodas stepped in they couldn't deny him, he had the authority fo the kingg to pick whichever criminal he wanted for the Sins, but it didn't stop their jeers and taunts about how the giant bitch ia lucky the King's pet demon stepped in and how Meliodas can have her. Let the monster stay together, afterall it's not like anyone else would accept them. Diane is pissed and almost attacks the Knights right there if not for Meliodas calmly patting her ankle.
Diane was kind of fine with herself being harassed. She didn't like it, obviously, but she was strong, she could take it. She was much more upset when she saw any of her fellow Sins being harassed, especially Meliodas. And she absolutely hated the fact that everyone called him "the kings pet demon". Just because he's not human doesn't mean he's not a person! And he's definitely not a pet!
She asked Zaratras about that whole thing and he explained to her that because Meliodas is a demon but is loyal to King Baltra, most people think he's weak and/or that Baltra controls him somehow. That is not true, of course, but rumors spread fast, especially when that rumor is something bad against someone who is already disliked.
