they'll always find a bunch of excuses to call the heroine bad.
they always say that Kory is bad because she was made for Dick. but they will never call Dick a bad character because he was created for Batman. they always say that Kory is poorly written and her characteristics were adjusted to Dick, but no one talks about how Dick's characteristics were adjusted to Kory (which is even more obvious in the comics and is now considered his development (before it was reset to "develop" what was developed again)). they will always continue to say that Kory has no personality, and that she depends solely on Dick. "Nightwing has been separated from Batman for a long time, he's a recognizable hero in his own right," just like Starfire, isn't she? I constantly see people who know Starfire but have no idea/have less idea about Nightwing (I was one of those people lol)
they will continue to talk about how Kory has always been obsessed with Dick and has never worked without him, but they will never read any original comics about her. stop looking for excuses for your misogyny. no one complains when other male characters are invented for male characters (Batman and Robins again, for example) but if we have a heroine who is/was in a relationship with a male protagonist (sometimes it's not even necessary), she will always be slandered, accused of being created purely for the amusement of men and that she has no personality behind her beautiful appearance, even if it has absolutely no connection with reality.
lately, I've been seeing too much negativity towards Kory about this, and I'm tired. read The New Teen Titans, please😭
