anyways so here's drag queen whump:
Now just in general, doing drag is a painful, PAINFUL sport. Anything that has corsets and heels involved is gonna hurt at least a little bit.
This is well exacerbated in any situation where they can't take off those garments. If you kidnap a drag queen and keep her in her corset? She's gonna be in PAIN. Bruised ribs, BROKEN ribs if you're nasty, and that's not even mentioning how hard it can be to breathe when the corset is done too tight.
"Can't have you looking any less than perfect, let me tighten that for you."
"How long have you been wearing that? Please, sit, you need to breathe."
One fun thing about the sheer amount of clothing a drag queen wears is that:
1. it's very easy to hide things like bruising
2. it's very hot all the time
Drag performers often wear layers upon layers of tights, and are in makeup that is designed to not come off with sweat. If you don't want the people around your whumpee to know they're hurt, good news!
"It can't have been that bad, you look fine."
"How long have you been hiding this?!"
Heels are good for similar reasons to corsets. They're painful to wear, let alone for extended periods of time, and have the potential to cause long term (if not permenant) damage.
Last one I will mention briefly is tucking. Not going into detail cause it personally makes me queasy, but yeah. If you're into whump involving genitalia, look into tucking 😭 use your imagination, it can get ugly VERY quickly.
Take your drag performer at their most powerful, most self assured, the most confident version of themself, and strip them of all the things that make them feel capable. Tear their lashes off. Stab them with their own heel. Yank the wig off their head. Rip their false lashes off.
Or worse, make it gentle. Wash the makeup from their face when it's all over. Leave them bare and vulnerable, with their dark circles and blotchy skin and messy hair. Walk away from them, with one pitiful glance back. Take them from best to their worst, and make them feel every second of it.
OR BETTER! Prove to them that their most powerful isn't enough. It wasn't enough to save them. It's not enough to hide what they've been through either. It wasn't never enough.
