Dazzling artwork with flowers by Limzy
Yes I do lmao
Gotta love this black & white dress by Yigal Azrouël. Look #12 from his Spring 2014 RTW collection. I love the pattern, the cut, and the length of this dress. Perfect for a city summer.
HE IS ASKED TO COME CLOSE AND SNUGGLE AND HE IS SO HAPPY TO
i die a little each time this is way too cute ok
Yup, for those days when I want a giant demented cat’s face sloppily appliqued over my torso. Bonus points to the designer for making the cat’s eyes to line up where your boobs are.
This shirt, called the “Be Here Meow Tee” is everything I hate about Modcloth. That, and the wannabe Betty Grable clothing (made in cheap synthetic fabrics).
"Only" $54.99 at Modcloth!
Preach!
His face was filled with broken commandments.
--John Masefield, with a description that would have fit my old investment banking boss to a T.
I'm sarcastic because it's the body's natural defense against stupid.
His ignorance covers the world like a blanket, and there's scarcely a hole in it anywhere.
--Mark Twain. Ooh snap!
Dark chapter in Canadian immigration history included an unsung hero, among the first who can be called a defender of civil rights
Today, I got an important history lesson about Canada's immigration history from a friend. (I am not Canadian, so I had not heard of this incident, where the racist attitudes of some Canadians led to the deaths of some of the passengers of the Komagata Maru.) The passengers of the ship were mostly Sikh veterans from the British Army, and were fellow citizens of the Commonwealth. The article linked also outlines the efforts of J. Edward Byrd, a civil rights lawyer who tried to help the passengers of the ship.
I'm melting into a puddle of sentimental puppy-love goo. Too cute.
Sometimes for work, I wake up so early that it's dark. I sometimes put my makeup on in the dark because the bathroom light is so unwelcomely bright, it's just like awakeness being pounded into my skull. But there are downsides to putting my makeup on in the dark...
Wrinkled and crinkled, huge in Japan, heroically reluctant to give up, and forever touring the world on a mission to make us scream, Godzilla is the Mick Jagger of giant amphibians.
--Anthony Lane's opening sentence in his review of the "Godzilla" movie-remake.
