hani knew that the pinky finger that now wrapped around hers and smiled but deep down inside, she felt like it was a lie. she knew that somehow, somewhere he would get into trouble. she’d been around long enough to know that he would, but she didn’t care because she would always be there. Even when he got in trouble, she would still be by his side. “thanks, babe,” she said almost sarcastically. she smiled as they made their way to his bike. she took the extra helmet from him pulled it onto her head smirking at his words. “yeah, i’m good at holding on tight to you,” she said smiling. She tilted her head looking at him and then smiling. “so yes, i know,” she pressed a quick kiss to his lips before getting on the back of his back. technically, it was their first and it was like her to do it without any warning like that.

◈ ※ — fuck, ki was practically screaming internally, staring forward in disbelief. the kiss shocked the hell out of him, especially since she was the one who initiated it. the act felt so nonchalant and he was unsure of whether or not he should say something about it or if he should just roll with the punches and pretend like it never happened. both of those options felt like the wrong one, but nonetheless, the light haired man reached behind him, grabbing at the girl’s hands and wrapping them around his waist securely. “sounds good to me, hani.” he murmured low enough for her to hear, before revving the engine on his motorbike, taking off from the parking lot.

hani was slightly confused by the look on his face since she didn’t realize what she’d said. it was something that seemed natural to slip out of her mouth since the rest of the world knew how she felt about ki, even if he didn’t. “no, seriously,” she says staring up at him with her wide, expressive eyes that held just a hint of fear. “chan ki yeon, promise me you won’t get hurt. for me?” she asked holding her pinky out to him as she batted long eyelashes at him. sure, she was behaving like a needy girl and a bit of a baby but she didn’t have many people in her life and the fear of losing ki was probably overwhelming just in concept so she definitely didn’t want it to actually happen which he could probably tell by the fact that she used his full name so firmly. Though, this would be easier for her to understand if she would just admit her feelings for him so they could actually have some sort of functional relationship. “Aw, don’t get all sappy all of a sudden, ki,” she said rolling her eyes at his whispered words, though her cheeks were turning pink already. “bike,” she said nodding.

◈ ※ — ki stared down at the single pinky finger she was holding out for him, expecting. he wasn’t so sure if he could keep the promise he was about to make, the promise she was asking for and didn’t want to disappoint the girl when she’d realize that. it wasn’t like he wanted to get hurt or wanted to get into messes -- they always just seemed to find him on their own. “fine. just for you,” he whispered, and wrapped his finger around hers, locking them together. he had to hand it to himself, the man could lie through his teeth. and at the end of the day, he was lying to make her feel better and to give her peace of mind, so it could almost be considered a selfish act, really. “bike it is!” he exclaimed, suddenly glad he had an extra helmet on hand. fingers still locked together, he pulled the girl behind him, leading her to his bike that was parked not too far away. holding out the extra helmet, ki fastened his own on, throwing his leg over the side of the bike, and scooting toward the front just a bit so she’d have room. “you know you’re gonna have to hold on real tight?” ki joked, winking.
