Promomotion for the Young Astronauts
The Young Astronauts was a planned Marvel show that was part of the Reagan administration’s attempt to get kids interested in science. It was a cartoon that would have taught interesting things about space in each episode. It was canceled following the Challenger disaster. As far as I know, all that’s left are these promos, an animation frame and the audio transcript from one of the episodes.
More than an audio transcript: the full unslugged dialogue reel for Ghost Ship, plus a whole load of auditions, including the series narrator. A while back, I spoke to Townsend Coleman (who voiced Rick Hampton). He told me there were 5 or 6 episodes recorded before the axe fell.
