Something interesting I’ve learned - although I don’t know if this has a name in any other language, but in Korean this position is called “manner legs”. It refers to people stretching their legs to sink down to a smaller height so people working or filming with them could either work on their hair and makeup or appear to be their same height.

I managed to find the source for that and it’s a scene from the filming of a commercial the two of them did for a mango-infused beer called “Mango Lingo”! He’s a famous actor and screenwriter (Yoo Byungjae), known for being super funny, and she’s a popular singer and actress (Kwon Nara) with a great reputation.

I have no patience for people trying to insist that these protestors are just “ignorant.” They know exactly what they’re doing. They’re fascists. Showing up with a sign that is the phrase literally over top the gates leading into Auschwitz isn’t something you do when you’re misinformed, it’s something you do when you’re a nazi.

Like, let’s take the most charitable possible interpretation and say that the person doesn’t know what the slogan means. It is not something in use in regular conversations, in the middle American states, realm of “speak english, this is america”. 

You’d only meet that slogan in historical academic contexts, which would FULLY know the fascist implications, in which case you would not put it on a sign if you were not a fascist, or you would meet that slogan if you were frequently enough talking to fascists and agree with what they’re saying that you’d think it was a good idea to put it on a sign, in which case you are functionally indistinguishable from a fascist.  ALSO, IMPORTANT NOTE: “JB” is JB Pritzker, who is the governor, and who is Jewish. Either this person is a nazi or they are hanging out with nazis and think they have some good points, which is THE SAME THING.
