leafy + book clip under cut

their friendship is so interesting especially since they kinda switch roles in bfb! in bfdia, book is telling leafy to leave and make new friends. she’s even trying to become leafy’s friend in order to help her. but leafy doesn’t let her because she doesn’t understand that her behavior is driving people away.

in bfb, leafy is the one encouraging book to make new friends. book has driven ice cube and freesmart(?) away, and every awkward interaction she has with ice cube doesn’t help book’s situation. leafy is the one to tell her what book told her in bfdia: to move on and make new friends. however unlike leafy, book actually finds new friends on in tpot on team no name, who she actively tries to be better with and improve herself with. making new friends helped book rekindle her friendship with ice cube, and that could’ve helped leafy if she had actually listened to book’s advice years before that

also i haven’t watched bfb in a while so sorry if im wrong on some parts😭

tldr: leafy and book are foils and parallel each other 😛😛

overall (upon first watch) the whole episode is amazing! the animation is so good and the team did such a great job!

i’m probably going to rewatch it when i have time and maybe i’ll actually analyze it but rn im so happy!!

Can I say that I love how all of the characters are so normal about Sora having a deadname. Like Arin's reaction is just "oh okay". There was no fuss about "you're my best friend but you didn't tell me" or whatever. No, he just, accepted the fact she changed name at some point. Literally the only characters deadnaming her or not being normal about it are the villains. And I could say as much about Gandalaria learning Bonzle's name that she chose herself. They're normalising having deadnames and chosen names, and being normal about people having deadnames and chosen names, huh?
