You were still in Waterfall walking around. You used your magic seeing little, tiny flames dance around you. You smiled watching them. The tiny flames turned into hearts momentarily before some of them turning into Sans. You let out a breath seeing that making your magic go away. You seriously didn't see what you had just saw right? Your flames had turned to hearts and Sans in front of you. You felt yourself blush. How did you not notice how your feelings were slowly turning for him? Probably because you'd been too busy to notice. You let out a big sigh realizing you still had a lot to think about and do. Right now, you needed to focus on the adventure.
Meanwhile you were doing your thing Sans was doing nothing laying on his mattress staring up at the ceiling. He was thinking about so much. How you'd fallen into his arms. He felt his cheekbones turn blue from his blush. Why was he out of everyone feeling this way? He shouldn't. He didn't deserve it after everything he's been through. After all the timelines. He didn't understand... Frisk wasn't here when they normally were by now. Instead, you were here in their place. It was abnormal. He let out a groan closing his eyes deciding to take a nap. He felt himself slowly fall into a peaceful sleep.
Dream Start
Sans looked around smiling in his dream. Him and Papyrus were on the surface with other monsters and.. you? God, you really put yourself in his head. He didn't hate it but he didn't deserve you. Suddenly the dream started to change as Sans heard a laugh. "How long do you think this will last?" a familiar voice ran through. He turned around seeing them. "...heh... was starting to wonder when i'd see you next" Sans told them. "couldn't wait till the next genocide run?" Standing in front of him was Chara. "You're lying to yourself if you think they'd ever like someone like you" they told Sans.
Sans saw images of him and you on the surface together like a couple. He really didn't listen to Chara. "Sans.. we both know how Attachments end" they said. Sans then saw images of you turning away from him making his soul hurt. "heh.. yeah everything does in our timeline" Sans replied. "Then why bother with something you will never have?" Chara smiles evilly. Sans let out a sigh gesturing to the images. "because this.. isn't how it ends" he told them. "It's from your own mind.. you're the one thinking like this... makes it honest" They'd say. "heh.. nah... just lazy" he'd reply back.
Suddenly the atmosphere changed again, and you were standing in front of him. Something was off about you. He knew it wasn't you. He jumped back as you had suddenly attacked him. "You know how this ends" They'd laugh out. Sans kept moving out of the way never attacking back. He just couldn't, seeing it was you. “They matter to you.” Chara said. "heh.. dirty cheater for using her..." Sans said. He then heard you speak. “You already know how this ends. Attachment is a habit you should have broken by now. You’re wasting time you don’t have.” you told him. He let out a quick breath not admitting hearing you say that affected him.
He knew this wasn't you. You looked at him with no warmth in your eyes. “You were never going to choose me,” you said. “You always stop before it matters.” This was hurting Sans more than he'd like to admit. "FIGHT BACK!" Chara yelled out. He'd never hurt you. This was just a puppet Cara was using against him. Chara would speak smiling “This is why liking them is a waste.” You'd turn away from him. “I don’t have time for someone who’s already given up.” Sans steps forward. He can’t reach you. “See?” Chara says. There’s satisfaction there now. “Even your fantasies know better.”
“You cling to feelings,” they continue, “then pretend you’re noble for letting them go.” They lean closer. “It’s pathetic.” Sans finally snaps. “you don’t get to talk about them.” Chara smiles — sharp, pleased. “I already did.” The dream cracks. Their last words follow him as he wakes: “Don’t waste another timeline pretending this matters.”
Dream End
Sans woke up in a flash his left eye socket glowing blue. He's ready to attack anything. He realized he was just in his room. Papyrus soon came into the room. "SANS ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" Papyrus asked him. Sans would go back to his normal self. "course paps.. i'm uh gonna go to grillbz" Sans told Papyrus. Sans went to Grillbys hanging out with the other monsters. He was acting normal on the outside but inside he didn't understand. Fuck... Sans was in for a deep one and he didn't know what to do.
Don't need to ask how you found his hoodie. Just say he took it off while doing something and deciding to wear it. He'd been looking for it before seeing you standing there with his hoodie on. That hoodie means so much to him and seeing his partner in it made his soul skip a beat. “didn’t think ya’d wanna wear… y’know. somethin’ of mine.” he'd say quietly. He's bashful about it but would quickly recover with a pun. "or maybe... you're just trying to hood-wink me into thinking you're cold." Then he would be super sweet about it like how he is with a lot of things in the relationship. “if ya get cold, lemme know. hoodie rental includes one free skeleton heater.”
Red:
This poor skeleton. He wasn't suspecting it at all. When he sees you wearing his hoodie he freezes in place. "...that's mine" he'd tell you. 100% this skeleton will say he wants his hoodie back all the time. 'Please sweetheart don't listen to him. Keep it on he loves it on you. I swear if you give it back to him inside, he will be a sad skeleton but not show it on the outside.' A skeleton who will think that once you wear his hoodie that you claimed him fully and he is yours forever too. Makes sure his coat smells more like him before you wear it to make sure no other monsters touch you. Stake his own claim.
Stretch:
Stretch loves it when he finds you in his hoodie. Whether it be too big on you or fits just fine. He will tease you endlessly as you were wearing his hoodie. “comes with free cuddles, if you're wonderin’. Hoodie rules.” Of course, you have to give into him when he says something like that. You're his new favorite pillow when you wear his hoodie. His long lanky form laying against yours. His skull nuzzling against your chest. Please run your hand over his skull while he lays against you. He will fall asleep in minutes.
Bear:
One skeleton who really doesn't understand why of anything you'd want to wear his hoodie. He didn't hate it was just confused. “...didn’t… think you’d like somethin’ that beat-up.” He would get closer to you. “been through… a lot, y’know?” If you told him that his hoodie was nice and warm despite everything it's been through he'd smile. He could feel something melt inside him. If you're sitting down, he'd sit next to you. “…it suits ya,” he mutters. “better’n it ever suited me.” If you try to tell him that it's his hoodie and it always looks better on him than you he'd shake his head. "...nah... ya can keep wearin’ it. i… like seein’ ya in it.”
Nova:
Kinda acts similar to Sans. It would be early in the morning when he's in the middle of a yawn and see you in his hoodie. “guess ya, uh… raided my closet, huh?” He loves it on you. Like many of the others please don't take it off. “looks better on you anyway… not that, uh… that’s hard.” "Nova this hoodie literally matches you... can't look better on me if it's made for you" you'd try to tell him. All of them would say that you look in it better than him. He would smile softly seeing you in his hoodie. God, he loved you so much and this made his love deeper.
Rus:
Once he sees it on you it's like he blue-screened. “i didn’t think you’d… w-want to wear something of mine.” So nervous but loved the way you looked inside of it. Please don't take it off. Never take it off. He knows how much that jacket means to him but seeing you wear it is making his soul feel like its running in circles and constant fluttering. “does it— um— fit? i mean— of course it fits, it’s big, i just— i mean— i hope it’s not… uncomfortable or anything.” Trying so hard to not to explode as you tell him its warm and you like it. “you… like it? that’s… good. i don’t mind. i really… don’t mind.” His voice would soften into something fragile and earnest. “you can keep it on. i… kinda like seeing you in it.”
Nightmare can feel negativity like a pulse through the walls of his castle. But your distress feels different—sharp, panicked, dizzying. It draws him in even when he tries to ignore it. He finds you curled somewhere—hallway, library, bedroom—breathing too fast, trembling. Nightmare really truly isn't the best with comfort, so he goes over to you and puts one of his hands on your back. Your negativity was so strong right now. It was making him stronger but all he cared about right now was you. He didn't show off his soft side he had for you in front of Killer, Dust or Horror. Even though they knew that their boss had a huge soft spot for you.
"what's going on?" his voice asked you. He wasn't sure how to phrase the question, but he asked how he had heard others ask before. Nightmare wasn't stupid far from it. He just needed to be careful with you. One of the few things he cared about anymore. You wiped your tears from your eyes. It was useless to try to lie to him. He could sense your negativity. "Just... thinking about... things" your quiet voice answered back. Nightmare tilted his head to the side. Nightmare seemed to be thinking the look on his face for a second before going back to normal.
"you're safe... i'm here now" he told you. He then brought you into a hug. It was a little tight, but he was scared you'd slip away from his grasp. You hugged him back softly. You were always so gentle. Nightmare both hated and... loved how gentle you were. You felt like your negativity was being pulled from you forcibly. You looked at him. "Why...?" you asked him quietly. He knew exactly what you were asking. "because... i don't like seeing you suffer in here" he told you. While talking he'd point at your chest. He was pointing at presumably where your soul was.
You had never seen your own soul. Nightmare refused to ever bring out your soul. His reasoning was that out of battle monsters seeing another's soul is very intimate. He cared so much more than he had ever let on. "You don't have to" you tried to tell him. He looked at you with this look that was basically telling you to try to stop reasoning with him. "maybe not... i never have to help. it's my choice... i want to take your pain away" he said. You smiled at him, and he gave you a soft smile back. You were slowly feeling the negativity leaving your body. "good... back to normal" he'd mutter to himself
Nightmare would look at you. "glowing brighter than ever... irritating" he'd say. You smiled and giggled at his statement. That was his own way of saying 'don't hurt anymore.' You know he truly never meant the unkind words towards you. He might be all negativity but at least for you he has some kindness to spare.
Protect The Starlight Sun/Moon x Reader Chapter 13
Warnings: Angst
The next day came fast. You went to work like usual. "Hello Starlight!" Sun said happily. You smiled at Sun. He didn't do anything wrong. "Hey Sun... I need to talk to Moon" you told him. Sun stopped in his streaks. "You want to talk to Moon... why?" Sun asked you quietly. You looked around making sure no one was around. "I want to talk about what happened 6 months ago before I got here" you told him. The lights immediately went out, and Sun turned into Moon. "6 months ago, Starlight it doesn't matter anymore" Moon growled out. "It obviously does matter if you immediately came out" you told him.
Moon was not happy about this. "Who told you about this...?" He asked quietly. You walked over to him not scared to be close to him. You knew he'd never hurt you. You'd hope not especially after what you heard from others. "From some others" you told him. Moon growled out. "It's not like you'd understand. No one ever does. How about you do me a favor and leave like everyone else did" Moon told you. You couldn't believe what he had just said to you. "You think you can just push everyone away like this Moon? To protect them from what?" you asked him.
"From me... I'm protecting everyone from me. You have no idea what I can do" Moon's voice was low and sounded so cold. That surprised you so much. What happened that destroyed Moon's internal thoughts this much. "Moon I just want to understand you and want to know what happened" you told him. Moon looked at you seeming to be thinking. "Starlight... I don't want to lose you too please... just leave" he told you. This was hurting you so much and you didn't understand why. You had grown close to the 2 animatronics so much. You hadn't meant to. "Fine... if you want me to go so bad I will... I thought we were becoming friends..." you told him.
"Tell Sun that I'm sorry" Moon watched as you walked away out of the Daycare. 'MOON HOW COULD YOU? SHE WAS A FRIEND' Suns voice sounded through their shared mind. 'Better that than lose our Starlight' 'You said yourself that we had to protect Starlight as much as possible... and now you're telling them to leave' 'Only way to protect Starlight if they're not around us anymore'
You walked out of the Daycare feeling tears fall down your cheeks. You wiped them off. You hadn't expected to cry from this. Maybe this was for the better. They are just animatronics. You had remembered when you accidentally fell asleep against Sun and waking up to Moon. You had been cuddled against their body. You cried harder. You were now hiding in the bathroom away from anything. Why was this hurting so much? For a while this is what you'd do. Hide in the bathroom and just cry. Soon you'd tell your boss that you're going home early. He let you go home not understanding what was going on. Should you even go to work tomorrow?
Authors Note: Sorry for the short chapter next chapter is going to be big. Wanted this chapter just to be about this.
You hated doing this, but you had to leave Snowdin. Nothing against the 2 skeleton brothers. You had to moved forward to leave. This was the right decision... right? You looked back at their house before leaving. You walked along the road soon finding that the snow was gone and the air wasn't so cold anymore. It was actually a little warmer not too hot. As you walked through you found yourself in what the monsters called Waterfall. It was so pretty. The ceiling had what seemed to be little sparking stars, but they must be crystals or something. It really was gorgeous in the underground. You could get used to this.
As you stopped and looked around you continued to walk forward you saw Sans familiar sentry stand. He didn't seem to be there. You let out a sigh thinking about the other day when Sans was having Nightmares. You really hoped you didn't do anything wrong to upset him. Continuing with your walk you found a waterfall sparkling and flowing. Everything about the underground was beautiful. As you stepped closer you slipped on something and before you could fall into the water you felt something pull on your soul. You were blue. You were put in place away from the waterfall and water. "heh.. better be careful there buddy" Sans familiar voice rang out.
You smiled hearing his voice. "What didn't thing I could handle a bit of water Sans?" you asked him. "nah never said that" he replied smiling. You smiled going over to the skeleton. "You know.. i understand monsters wanting to leave the underground to get to the surface but.." you looked around, taking in the crystals, the glowing waterfalls, the gentle wavering light. "The underground is so beautiful." Sans looked at you with a little bit of surprise on his face before chuckling and his smile back to normal. "i like how you see things" he said quietly. "makes everything... being trapped in the underground... lighter."
He nudged you slightly. "careful keep complimenting the underground and we might think that you'd never want to leave" he mumbled continuing. "not that i'd complain" he said that so quietly, but the echo flowers caught that. The echo flowers repeating back the phrase in his tone over and over. You smiled softly at his talking. Sans was really nice to be around. "What are those?" you asked him pointing out the echo flowers around them. “heh… these little guys?” he said, nodding toward the blossoms. “they’re called echo flowers.” You were confused why are they called that? “Echo flowers?”
“yep.” Sans gave a slow, exaggerated shrug. “they… uh… kinda… remember stuff that’s said around ‘em. like… say someone talks near ‘em, their words stick for a while. then later… the flowers… uh… replay ‘em. echo ‘em.” Sans waved a hand toward the patch ahead. “look around. see how they glow? that’s not just pretty light… that’s ‘hey, i remember someone said something funny here once’ light. sometimes you’ll hear things that weren’t just said… like ghosts of conversations. heh. makes walkin’ through Waterfall kinda… interesting.” That sounded really pretty amazing. "So, we just tell them anything and they'll repeat it for who knows how long?" you asked him. "yep" he said.
You whispered something unknown into the flower. Sans tries to listen, but you block him. "How dare you try to listen to my deep dark secrets?" you said messing with him. That made him smile offering his hand to you. You took it standing up. You walked along the patches of echo flowers being careful not to step on any. Sans really appreciated that you were being so careful. It meant a lot to him more than he let on. "heh careful there on the ground.. don't step on any" he teased you. You rolled your eyes. Suddenly Waterfall had another idea for you as you slipped on some algae.
Sans immediately reacted since he was next to you. He caught you in his arms before you could fall. You breathed heavily expecting to hit the ground, but it never happened. You looked seeing Sans holding you close to him. You blushed lightly. "I-I'm so sorry Sans" you said flustered. Sans smiled more getting ready to crack a joke. "Heh.. seems like your waterfalling for me" he said. The echo flowers copied his last words. "waterfalling for me" You got out of his arms still a bit flustered. Sans watched you. He for some reason really liked you close to him. He wouldn't say anything.
"That was a cute joke Sans" you told him smiling. "i always got the best on hand" he said shrugging. "i uh better leave you to it then yeah? gotta get back to the surface at some point" He walked the opposite direction gone in a second. You really didn't want him to leave but he always had. You let out a sigh. You don't even know if you want to leave the underground anymore. You just want to stay here with them... with him.
Ugh... what time even was it? You had looked at the time on your phone. "11:30 am??" you said loudly. Shit you hadn't meant to sleep that long. You did remember hanging out with Sans and Papyrus late last night. It really was a fun night with them. Lots of board games and movies. Then you had to go home. You saw on your phone a lot of texts from Papyrus. "I HOPE YOU ARE DOING ALRIGHT HUMAN... please text me back :(" was his last text. No not that sad face. You had immediately texted Papyrus back.
You:
"I'm so sorry Papy... don't know why I slept in so late ugh.. now that i think about it I'm not feeling the best..."
Papyrus:
"OH NO I MUST COME OVER RIGHT AWAY TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE ALRIGHT! STAY THERE"
Pfft Papyrus was such a dork at times. His text made you smile. He really was a big softie like Sans said he was. Which you already could tell Papyrus was. He was such a cinnamon roll. You then received a text from Sans.
Sans:
“heya, kiddo. heard you caught the ‘flu justice.’ that’s what happens when you spend too much time around papyrus—guy’s contagious with enthusiasm.”
You rolled your eyes at his message and felt your chest hurt from laughing.
You:
"Funny as always aren't we Sans? Stop making me laugh makes my chest hurt"
Sans:
"never.. someone's gotta make someone happy while my bro comes over... don't break him"
That was Sans last text. Sans always knew more than he let on. You groggily got out of bed in pain. You got dressed going to the bathroom to brush your messy hair. You let out a sigh. This was the best you felt like doing. You heard your door open you knew it'd be Papyrus. He knew where you keep another key at. "HUMAN I AM HERE. WHERE ARE YOU?" He asked loudly. "I'm in the bathroom Papy give me a minute" you said. He waited patiently as you were in the bathroom setting down a covered bowl. He had made you soup to help you. The poor skeleton was worried.
You got out of the bathroom only to be hugged by Papyrus. You smiled he was always so gentle and made sure to watch how strong he was being. "We saw each other last night Papy" you told him. "I KNOW BUT I LIKE HUGGING YOU.. FEELS.. NICE" he said. You felt the same way about the hugs. You left his hug unwillingly. "I BROUGHT YOU SOME SOUP!" he said smiling. After the last time you had gotten sick, he thought you were dying. Poor guy was scared and crying and you had to tell him that you just sick and you'd be better in a few days. You helped teach him how to make some soup to help with sickness. You sat on the couch with the soup in your hands.
The fact he remembered touched your heart. "Aw thanks... you're the best" you told him. "I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS AFTER ALL" he said proudly. You ate some of the soup. He had been getting so much better with cooking. "This is really good" you told him. "WHY THANK YOU I MADE IT WITH A LOT OF LO- NUTRIONAL VALUE YES NUTRITIONAL VALUE" he caught himself. Yeah... Papyrus was such a cute dork at times. “...I REALLY DO HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON. YOUR WELL-BEING MATTERS VERY MUCH TO ME. MORE THAN… WELL… MORE THAN MOST THINGS.” he said before continuing obviously flustered.
“BUT NOT IN A WEIRD WAY! IN A TOTALLY NORMAL, ABSOLUTELY FRIENDLY, DEFINITELY-NOT-LOVE-RELATED WAY!” He looked away. You could definitely see the hearts floating around him. You knew about his little crush on you for a while. "Well... it's still really sweet of you to make this for me... thanks Papyrus" you told him. You leaned over and kissed his cheek bone. You saw the tip of his cheekbones glow orange as he was even more flustered than before. "A-AH O-OF COURSE HUMAN! THE GREAT PAPYRUS REALLY CARES FOR YOU" he said. In his own words that's his little confession for you. You smiled and leaned against the tall skeleton on the couch. Papyrus felt his soul jump at your proximity. His soul loved having you close but this was good enough for now.
Today was the day. The treacherous day. You were standing outside of the store getting ready to buy groceries. Most people would think that it's pretty stupid to get so anxious over getting groceries. It wasn't that. It was the fact you were going to get up earlier but accidentally slept in, so the crowd was around at the store. You couldn't wait until tomorrow because you didn't have much left to eat at home. You let out a sigh and walked into the store grabbing a cart. You walked through out the store grabbing some things putting them into your cart. "Hm what sounds good to eat... fried rice or hot dogs?" you mumbled to yourself.
"I THINK THE HEALTHIER OPTION WOULD BE THE FRIED RICE!" Papyrus's loud voice sounded. You jumped dropping your things not expecting that. "OH, I'M SORRY HUMAN... Didn't mean to scare you" his voice sounded quietly ashamed. You picked up your things putting them in the cart looking behind you. Papyrus looked somewhat sad and upset at himself. "Oh no its alright Papyrus. promise... just didn't expect someone behind me is all" you told him. Beside him was his brother Sans. Once again, he was quiet staring at you.
"SANS ITS RUDE TO STARE SAY HELLO" Papyrus told him. Sans let out a growl. "hello..." is all he said. He didn't seem too excited to be here. You looked over at their cart seeing no meat but lots of other things. "So.. no meat?" you asked them. "...No" Papyrus's quiet voice sounded. He didn't say anything else. Sans seemed upset that you asked them that but said nothing. "WE CHOOSE NOT TO EAT MEAT... because of reasons..." Papyrus told you. "Oh, I'm sorry didn't mean to assume anything..." you told them.
"...how about you... stop asking stupid questions and assuming things..." Sans growled out. His upset voice surprised you. "SANS BE NICE TO THEM THEY WERE JUST CURIOUS..." Papyrus said. "No.. it's okay Papyrus don't need to say anything he's right. I'm sorry Sans..." you told him. Sans looked at you more trying to read you and see if you were telling the truth. "... it's fine" is all he responded with. He sounded so tired. "OH, I KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO!" Papyrus said. You and Sans looked at him. "HOW ABOUT YOU COME OVER TO OUR PLACE FOR DINNER" Papyrus said excitedly.
You looked at the 2 of them. I mean you really didn't have anything planned after shopping and putting things away. "I definitely have time to do that today..." you said quietly. Papyrus clasped his hands together excitedly. "WONDERFUL I WILL LET ALIZA KNOW WE WILL HAVE COMPANY OVER!" Papyrus said excitedly. Papyrus quietly walked away to talk to Aliza on the phone. It was just you and Sans now. He faced you watching silently before finally speaking. “heh. look at that. you got yourself an invite.” He shrugs. “just don't disappoint him and show up.” His smile sharpens. “and if you don’t… well… let’s just say… you’ll have a real bad time and... i’ll make sure your night ends a whole lot worse than it starts.”
He went quiet after that, and his neutral tired face was back. What exactly did he mean by that? He truly didn't mean he'd... hurt you or... kill you? Did he? You swallowed and turned away from Sans. That's exactly what Sans wanted you to do. Turn away from him so he can.. No Sans stop that you're not that anymore. "I'M BACK.. SANS DID YOU DO SOMETHING?" Papyrus asked him.
"No, he did nothing Papyrus. I was telling Sans that if I want to get to dinner in time, I need to get ready to leave so I can get home put things away" I lied out. Sans was surprised by that. You just lied even after his threat? This was... weird from a human and he didn't understand that. "OH, OKAY HUMAN HOPE TO SEE YOU TONIGHT... HERE'S OUR ADDRESS" Papyrus said giving you a piece of paper with their address. "...see ya later buddy" Sans monotone voice said. As you left to hurry and pay for things Sans watched you. "... lets go bro" Sans told Papyrus. Interesting. Lying to Papyrus for him? This dinner was going to be so much fun.
It was soon the next day of work. You had to be there early to get everything ready. You remembered what your boss was telling you last night letting out a sigh. "I understand protecting that child was the right thing to do but... you need to control that desire to protect others. If we get any more complaints like we did from parents with what you did it's out of my hands. You are a wonderful worker, and we really don't want to let you go because of misunderstandings" your boss had told you. "I understand" you said back. People don't understand they never do. It was the right thing to do you'd tell yourself again. As of right now you had to do your job and get stuff ready.
Meanwhile in a different area Sans, Papyrus, and Aliza were getting ready to go to the place Toriel said to meet her. She had said it's a restaurant with an arcade and many other things where kids could have fun. Sans let out a huff. He really didn't want to go. Why does he need to go? There would be so many children around... too noisy for him. He'll just have to push the noise away as much as he could. "Alright... we got some stuff together Toriel said to bring.. anything we are missing?" Aliza asked. "our sanity..." Sans said quietly. Aliza and Papyrus looked at Sans. "BROTHER THAT COMMENT IS UNEEDED RIGHT NOW" Papyrus said loudly. Sans didn't care too much. "Alright let's get going guys!" Aliza told the two skeletons.
After a while you had finished doing all the things that needed to be done. "What time are the monsters and ambassador going to be here?" you had asked Melissa. "Well, the monster who made the booking said she wanted an early time when we wouldn't be busy. So, we put them around 10:30" Melissa told you. That's early hopefully a lot of people wouldn't be here. "She said that there's a monster with them that doesn't really like noisy environments. Sounds like you'd get along with them!" she said to you. You rolled your eyes flipping her off. "Fuck you, Melissa" you told her. Melissa laughed at that.
You were honestly hoping that the monsters would be kind not that most of them were kinder than humans. You were still curious about what the monster you had met yesterday meant. When she had said souls like yours were the reason why monsters still believe in humanity. It was time to open, and you just hope that today wouldn't be like yesterday. As people came in and sat down to order you still hadn't seen the group with the ambassador. You were over at the prize area helping kids that had already won tickets. Suddenly as you were helping kids the room went really quiet. That was weird for it to be quiet especially dead silent.
As you looked up from helping kids you saw them. There were only 3 monsters plus the ambassador not too many only 4 in total. A human girl that was missing an arm. That must be the ambassador. Alongside her were a goat monster and 2 skeletons. One skeleton towered over the other was wearing glasses. The other one was wearing a beanie over his head one visible eye being red. You had assumed everyone went quiet because of him. After a few minutes the noise went back to normal. Sans had looked around at the people in here. As he did his eye stopped on you. You weren't helping kids anymore since all of them went back to their parents.
It seemed like he was trying to read you as he watched you. After a minute he looked away and walked away with his group to a quiet corner. "Oh, that skeleton was watching you" Melissa teased you. "Shut it Melissa... I don't know why... it felt like he was trying to read me from afar" you had told her. After a while of working you saw Aliza come up to your counter with the skeletons by her side. You quickly calmed yourself down putting on a smile to be nice and went to help them. "Never thought I'd have the honor of meeting you" you told Aliza scanning the card she had with tickets on it. "It wasn't our plan to come here... honestly it was just something that came up" she told you.
Oh, wow they had 8700 tickets. "8700 tickets chose whatever you guys want" you told them politely. "OH I WOULD LIKE THAT PLEASE!" the tall skeleton said pointing at a plushie. You grabbed it putting it in front of them. "I'm sorry he's a loud one this is Papyrus" Aliza said pointing to the tall skeleton before continuing. "This is Sans... he's much quieter" Aliza pointed at the skeleton wearing the beanie. "It's nice to meet you guys" you told them. "IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU TOO HUMAN!" Papyrus said loudly. Papyrus grabbed the plushie happily. "Do you want anything Sans?" Aliza asked Sans. Sans the whole time had been trying to read you.
He hated the fact that you were wearing a fake smile when your soul obviously wasn't happy. "nah... just want a snack.." Sans said looking straight at you. That made your heart skip a beat. Aliza rolled her eyes. "I'm sorry Sans is a bit... special in his own way. don't take anything he says the heart" Aliza told you. You just smiled and Aliza chose the same plushie 2 more times one for her and Sans. "i said i didn't want anything..." Sans told Aliza. "Well, you are getting something... now me, you and Papy have the same plushie." Aliza told him. Sans let out a growl taking the plushie.
"what is that..?" Sans asked pointing at another plushie. It was the same highland cow plushie you had given the little girl the other day. "Oh, that's our highland cow plushie... lots of kids love it" you told Sans. "why...?" he asked you. He sounded so tired. "Because it's cute and fluffy" you told him. "cute and fluffy..." Sans mumbled to himself. He seemed to be thinking. Aliza looked at the time. "Oh my god we really need to go Sans and Papyrus! We have an ambassador thing soon. I'm so sorry it was really nice to meet you!" Aliza said leaving. "GOODBYE HUMAN HOPE TO SEE YOU ANOTHER TIME!" Papyrus said excitedly. Sans didn't say anything just looked at you like he was judging you.
"Come on Sans!" Aliza said. Sans soon left with his brother and Aliza. Only one thing really ran through his mind. Something was up with you, and he needed to figure you out. Your soul felt like it was acting different than how you were. You were faking how you actually felt. Unfortunately for you, one thing Sans hated the most were fakers. You were faking everything you felt.
Unfortunately for you today was one of those bads days. Those days that dragged you around without remorse. The day that dragged longer than it should have. Honestly there wasn't much you could do. Tomorrow was the day the party at your job would happen with some monsters. You weren't against the monsters coming but the only monsters you've been around at your job have been kids. You looked at the schedule for tomorrow for everything happening. "Excited for tomorrow?" Melissa asked you. You looked at her. "I mean... it's not too much honestly just never been around other monsters besides kids" you told her.
"I know what you mean it can be overwhelming because the other monsters that aren't kids went through it all more than the kids" Melissa said. No one was certain exactly what monsters went through but all of humanity could tell it took a toll on monster kind, and most humans felt remorse for them. Some... not so much. While doing your job working you looked over and saw a couple of human children pushing around a monster child. "Where are the parents at? These kids are bullying that monster child..." you said upset. Melissa sighed watching it happen. "It happens unfortunately nothing we do about it.
The parents are probably drinking and eating not paying attention... HEY where are you going?" Melissa asked you. You weren't going to allow a monster child to be pushing around by others. "Doing the right thing... no one deserves that treatment no matter what you are..." you mumbled. You walked over to the children. "Ew... why does he have a tail? He's not even human! Bet he can't do what humans can do" the human children started saying towards the monster child. The monster child's tail tuck between his legs scared and didn't know what to do or say. He felt vulnerable and scared. You finally made it over there to the kids.
"Hey, I think it's time you guys go back to your parents and leave this child alone" you told the children. The children laughed. "Why do you care what we do to this monster? You just work here" the children said giving you attitude. "I know enough... I also know that kids bully others because either something is happening in their life that they're not happy with and take it out on others... or they are jealous that they have something they don't have" you told the children bluntly. The children got upset not saying anything and going back to their parents.
They started talking to their parents pointing at you. Well, that was going to be a complaint at you. It doesn't matter to you because all you cared about was the monster child being bullied. You turned towards him. "You okay little buddy? Where are your parents?" you asked him. He nodded pointing over to a table with a few monsters. It wasn't too many. "Well let's take you back over there yeah?" you asked him smiling. He grabbed your hand and pulled you over to the table. You let out a quiet sigh following him. "Oh, hello Moro... who's this with you?" You presumed it was his mother talking to him.
"Mom... she protected me from those kids over there... stood up for me... they were being really mean to me..." Moro said quietly. Hers ears going down a bit along with his tail tucking. His mother had a soft look on her face grabbing Moro gently checking him over. "Alright how about me and you go play some games together huh and I'll meet you over there?" his mother asked. You saw as Moro's expression changed immediately. His tail wagged and he got excited. "Okay mom!" Moro said before leaving.
His mother smiled before looking at you. "I really appreciate you protecting my little boy... humans haven't been the nicest to us since we came up here 3 years ago..." she said to you. You smiled happy to know you did the right thing. "I only did the right thing that was necessary..." you told her. "Most humans wouldn't bother... Souls like you are the reason why monster kind still believes in humans" she said smiling. You didn't know much about souls, but you had heard they are extremely important to monsters. "I really do hope I run into you again. My name is Eldramire but feel free to call me Eldra" she told you. You smiled telling her your name and said it was nice to meet her. You unfortunately had to get back to work before you got in trouble.
You said your goodbyes leaving the monster table and going back to where you were with Melissa. "That looked like so much fun" Melissa said to you. "Eh honestly children just being little shits." you told her quietly. She laughed softly. "They are definitely going to complain to the boss..." Melissa told you. You shrugged after what she said. "Oh well honestly I did the right thing the boss will understand" you told her. Protecting others always was the right thing when people were getting hurt. After a bit of working another worker came up to you guys. "Hey boss wants to see you in the office" they told you. Oh, here we go again.
It was happening all over again. Not again. He didn't want to suffer more than he already had. He could still feel the pain as his eye was ripped out. He could feel it all even when he put the guard's eye where his used to be. He could remember every soul he killed to feed his brother Papyrus. Going through starving himself for 7 years basically going insane. Of course, he was more calculated insane than just insane. Just waiting for the right moment before killing those innocent souls. He could even hear the sickening snap and crunch from when he ripped Aliza's arm off.
He was suddenly awoken up. "Are you alright Sans?" he heard Papyrus's quiet voice. Oh, it must've been a dream... or nightmare? Sans really didn't know anymore. "yeah... im fine bro" Sans mumbled out. "Are you sure? You seemed to be having a nightmare" Papyrus said quietly. "i said im fine" Sans growled out. Sans watched as Papyrus let out a sigh and spoke. "Alright well... me and Aliza are making some food if you're hungry..." his brother said before leaving Sans room. Hungry of course Sans was hungry. Even with being on the surface for 3 years it all felt fake unreal.
Sans slowly got up looking at himself in the mirror. He immediately put a beanie over his skull hiding his damaged head. When he first had come out of the underground all the humans were scared of him. All they did was stare at the hole in his skull. He hated it. It pissed him off. He just wanted to- Calm yourself down Sans. The humans won't hurt you. Yeah, right like he'd ever believe that. The only 2 that mattered now were Papyrus and Aliza. He went downstairs to find Papyrus and Aliza making breakfast. "Oh... Hey Sans... me and Papy were just making food" Aliza said quietly.
Sans nodded at Aliza's words. He was listening but also thinking back to his dream. Back then when he had done what he did to Aliza, he always regretted it. Aliza saw how Sans was looking and she smiled sadly. She wouldn't bring it up. She never would. The three of them would eat together like always. "So... Toriel wants us 3 to go with her in 2 days to go to this restaurant... together to hang out..." Aliza told Papyrus and Sans. "what... why?" Sans asked confused. It wasn't often that she would reach out to them. "She said it would be nice to hang out together... without violence and be friends? Plus, Sans... she wants to see you go out more often... says you need it" Aliza told Sans.
Sans knew where those words Toriel said could go up her- "Language" Papyrus said looking at Sans. "i didn't even say anythin'" Sans mumbled annoyed. "Maybe not but I know that look Sans" Papyrus said. Sans growled under his breath annoyed that he was basically going to be forced to go out somewhere where he didn't want to. "alrigh' i'm tired of this talk... let's talk about somethin' else" Sans mumbled out. Aliza looked at Papyrus then Sans. "You guys liking the food...?" she asked them quietly. Papyrus and Sans both nodded making Aliza smile. She might only have one arm left but she knew how to cook with just one. Well, it did take time to learn.
After a bit they all finished eating. "So... does anyone want to watch a movie?" Aliza suggested to them. "Yes! as long as its not anything horror..." Papyrus quickly responded. Obviously not horror for obvious reasons. Seeing from what happened to them all watching a horror movie would be like relieving something for each of them. "Alright if not horror than what?" Aliza asked. Sans shrugged. "i don't care" he responded. Aliza knew he would say that he always acts like that with movies always letting Papyrus choose. Papyrus always chose a Disney movie. After putting on the movie they watched it. Sans wasn't really paying attention which was normal.
He was busy thinking about other things. Even after being free for 3 years something still felt... off for Sans. He couldn't place it but after starving for 7 years in the underground until 3 years ago. What is exactly normal anymore? Sans doesn't know. All he knows is the trauma that he, Papyrus and Aliza dealt with in the underground. He never wanted anything like that to happened ever again. But what he never trusted other humans around... not after what he went through. Why should he trust them after all the happened in the underground.
"doll... do we hav' ta do this..?" Red grumbled out. You guys were out and shopping at the mall for some things. "Babe.. you told me to grab something special to wear for our date tomorrow." you told him. Red walked right next to you. "yeah but that doesn't mean i hav' ta come with..." he said to you. You smiled going to a clothing store Red still following you. Red seemed to stop in his tracks looks over somewhere. "You okay there?" you asked him. "eh? oh yeah i'm perfect doll... i'm goin' ta go ta another store real quick" he replied. "Yeah of course babe I'll be in here..." you said smiling.
Red disappeared to another store. You look around finding some nice clothes. There were some really pretty dresses, but you didn't feel like wearing a dress. You found a really cute outfit except the skirt was red. You were definitely going to get the outfit. You went to the register to buy the outfit. Red seemed to be taking a while. You wonder what he was doing. Once you bought the outfit you left the store to go look for Red. You found him waiting outside the store looking at something in his hand.
"Babe what're you looking at?" You asked him. "oh nothin' important doll" he hummed out putting whatever he had into his pocket. "i guess i should take ya home doll.. hav' ta be home papyrus made spaghetti for supper" he told you. "Oh okay babe.. um I guess lets go so you cann take me home" you told him. This was weird Red was never in a hurry to go home to eat with his brother. You decided to brush it off. He had soon taken you home pressing a skelly kiss against your cheek. After that he got home.
"OH YOU'RE HOME EARLY..." Papyrus's familiar voice ran through their house. "yeah.. took doll home ta get ready for tomorrow" Red told his brother. "NERVOUS?" is all his brother asked. "i'd be lyin' if i said no" Red replied back. Red let out a sigh thinking about how stressful tomorrow was gonna be. He really wasn't one to worry about this shit but fuck he really did hope that tomorrow would go that way he wanted it to. "DID YOU BUY IT?" his brother asked. "yeah.. i really hope she likes it" Red said looking at the box. "SHE BETTER LIKE IT OR ELSE" Papyrus said loudly. Red knew Papyrus would never hurt her. All he could think was about what she'd say tomorrow.
~Time Skip~
Soon it was tomorrow well... today. You were getting ready putting on your new outfit then putting on some makeup. You had looked at yourself in the large mirror you had to make sure you looked good. You smiled at yourself texting Red. "Hey babe I'm ready when you are." You grabbed your other things before hearing your phone go off with a text. "see ya in a bit doll" You loved Red so much underneath his harsh exterior was a sweet skeleton. You waited patiently for him to come and get you. After a bit he got there.
The drive to the restaurant was quiet and honestly pretty nice. You guys stopped at a nice restaurant. "Really are you sure about coming here it's a bit expensive?" you asked him. "eh anythin' for ya" he responded. He walked with you inside waiting for their seat he had reserved. Red really always acted like he wasn't planning something, but he always was. You guys were soon seated in a booth. "damn.. you look gorgeous doll" he told you. You smiled at that at him. God Red always went soft on the inside when you looked at him like that. The 2 of you soon ordered some food.
"Any reason for the expensive restaurant choice?" you asked him. "nah just wanted ta spoil my doll" he responded. He was wearing that stupid cute smirk. Soon the food arrives and you 2 enjoyed yourselves joking around and eating. Red let out a quiet sigh to himself reminding himself that he still had to do this. You watched as he got up. "Everything okay Red?" yous ask him. "course doll but i have a question for you" he said. He had soon got in front of you down on one knee. "i know i'm not the best with this romance shit. i'm not a good guy yet you still chose me out of every guy you could've had" he said letting out a sigh.
Tears start to form in your eyes. This can't really be him... proposing? "i sure as hell didn't think i'd be doin' somethin' like this... but you make me want this. to be with you forever if i could.." he mumbled. He looked away for a second before looking back at you. "will you marry me doll?" he asked quietly. He had a soft look in his eyes. You nodded not saying anything hugging him tightly tears still falling. He held you tightly back too. "so... is that is a, yes?" he asked chuckling. He already knew the answer and didn't need anything else from you. He was happy enough to know that you wanted to be with him forever. He sure as hell wasn't gonna fuck this up. Never.

It had been a while, and you were now off work. You were still at the PizzaPlex though. You decided to try to go and talk to some other coworkers about Moon. You just needed to know what had happened to Moon and why he didn't seem to trust many. Soon you met up with Candace she was one of the security workers who worked beside Glamrock Freddy. "So, I know you've been working here for a few years... do you know a lot about Sun and Moon?" you asked her. She looked at you and then around the room.
"Well I thought working with them for a while you would know them?" she asked. You thought about it. "Yeah, I know a lot about them it's not really Sun I'm wanting to know more about it's-" before you could continue, she finished the sentence. "Moon... you want to know more about Moon? Everyone does who works with them. Moons a big mystery" she explained. You nodded and watched as she pulled out her phone. "Well Moon always has been a bit iffy with trust, but it recently got worst 6 months ago. I don't know the details myself honestly but whatever happened closed the daycare for 2 months after" she explained to you.
That's weird so recent too? What could've happened that day or night that caused Moon to not give trust out willy nilly anymore. "Like I said no idea what happened, but it was really bad. Moon had serious repairs done and they never fixed his voice box to normal..." she continued. "Wait... so that voice he has right now is not his normal voice?" you confirmed with her. She nodded and hummed out a response. "That's correct... his voice used to be so much more soothing than it is now" she said.
"Is there anyone you know that could possibly know more?" you asked her. She looked to be thinking for a bit before giving out a response. "Honestly this is a longshot but why not ask Freddy? I mean he's an animatronic who knows a lot about the PizzaPlex" she told you. You decided you would do exactly that. You thanked her for her time and then left the room.
Sure, you really didn't go around many of the others, but you met them a few times. Freddy was the nicest of the bunch. After a bit of a walk, you had made it to your destination Freddys Green Room on Rockstar Row. You used your pass to get into his room to see him up and walking around. "Oh, Hello Y/n! What a surprise to see you in my Green Room!" he said happily. He always was in high spirits for an animatronic. "Hey Freddy, I came to ask you a question if you know the answer to it?" you asked him. "Of course! I will answer any question to my best ability" he said. You thought for a second before asking your question.
"What happened to Moon 6 months ago?" you had asked him. If Freddy could get any more still, he just had. He went silent and unmoving. "Moon? Why are you wondering?" he asked back. "Well, I am their technician and work alongside them so i have every right to know..." you told him. Freedy's ears moved a bit as he let out a sigh. "I am unaware of the exact details of what had happened, but I do know that Moon had hurt someone bad. The person was taken to the hospital" he said quietly. You stopped in your steps. Moon hurt someone. Moon? The same daycare attendant who watched over the children during naptime. You couldn't believe that.
"Why?" you asked Freddy. "Like I said I don't know what had transpired during the time in the Parts and Service" he responded. You let out a sigh sitting on the couch in Freddys Green Room. Why you just couldn't believe it. "You know we should have video evidence of it. It's required to have it all the time..." Freddy said. Freddy then pointed up out of his window. "Up there is the office where all videos are stored, I'll give you the date you should be able to find it" he said. "Thanks Freddy" you hummed out.
After leaving his Green Room you got a message on your phone from Freddy with the date. Soon you made it to the room where all videos of the PizzaPlex were stored. You went onto the computer to look up the date finding video of the PizzaPlex. But there was an error for the Parts & Service room. Looking up the error, you had figured out that the video evidence had been deleted. "What... who deleted it? and Why?" you asked yourself. You looked around finding a small piece of fabric on the ground. It was colored to Moon. But one question is why would he delete the video? What happened that night? You let out a huff standing up. "Time to make a visit back to Moon tomorrow" you told yourself.

You know honestly you didn't think this is how your day was going today. One minute you were at home doing nothing. The next you had been called to work because someone didn't come in. There went your relaxing day off to yourself. You honestly regretted going into work and wished someone else could've handled it. See with the way you were you would've thought you'd settle into a nice job where it's nice and quiet. But no, you didn't do that. You decided to work at a family place where there were arcade games everywhere kids could win prizes.
It was nice and loud a little bit too much for you at times, but you had learned to push all the noise away. As you were busy working the prize counter area a coworker came over to you. It was Melissa. Melissa had become somewhat a close friend to you. "So did you hear that in a few days we have a big party of monsters coming in with the ambassador?" she had asked you. A party with monsters and the ambassador herself? You didn't know this was happening. "Honestly didn't hear about it until you told me just now" you had responded. Melissa smiled and laughed shaking her head.
"We were talking about it in the meeting... spacing out like usual?" she asked. You had tended to do that a lot at times. You didn't mean to... really. Sometimes conversations got a little bit boring, and you would space out. "Apparently... oops" you mumbled. Melissa continued to smile and waved her hand at some kids coming up. "It's all right... really. Sometimes you can't help it. Well, Imma leave you to your job!" she said before leaving. You went back to helping kids pick out their prizes at the counter pretending to be happy when you really weren't.
Soon a couple came up with their young daughter. She had to be at least 7 or 8 years old. The little girl was a bit shy hiding beside her parents' legs. "Oh, come now sweetheart... we got so many tickets to get prizes!" her mother had said. You smiled and asked for the card with their tickets on it. You scanned the card looking at the screen. "Wow you got 2500 tickets. You could get so much with that!" You told the little girl. You had to at least pretend to be happy because you worked around a lot of kids and what example would you be setting if you looked depressed all the time.
"Wow did you hear that? You got 2500 tickets! Want that cow plushie you saw earlier before we played games?" her father asked. The little girl nodded shyly pointing at a little highland cow plushie. "Oh, you want this? This is the very best thing on our shelf just for you. You take care of him, okay? We all call him Clyde" you told the little girl. You gave her the plushie seeing her grab it eagerly. She held it tightly to her chest and you gave the card back to the parents. "Thank you so much... for being a sweetheart to our little girl we appreciate it..." the mother said thankfully.
"Of course, you guys have a fantastic day" you told them smiling. You had watched them leave and as soon as they were gone your smile was gone. Why did others have to be so happy when life never treated you the same and took those you cared and loved away from you? "It's not fair" you would say to yourself. Soon it was time to leave work, and you couldn't be happier to go back home. On the drive home you would think about your past. In middle school you were considered a dork because of the things you liked and friends.
Middle school was the hardest the time depression was the worst. That was until you had met someone. Her name was Mercedes. She was a kid in the foster system didn't have her own family. You guys stuck like glue because of your shared interests and over 8 months you guys became besties. You had even tried to convince your mother to adopt her because you guys were basically like sisters at that point. That was until the first year of high school. You hadn't heard from her over the summer which you had brushed off because you were busy without of things yourself.
That was the first mistake. When you had went to high school on your first day you met with your regular friends. But someone was missing Mercedes. You had learned that day that over the summer she had tried to contact you and one other person, and no one answered. She was thought that you and the other person hated her and had committed suicide with overdose. That mentally destroyed you. You might've only known her for 8 months, but she had become like a sister. After your little thought process of the past, you found yourself at home already. That was a long mentally draining day. So why not go back to relaxing and reading books? Afterall that's all you were up to do.

You had finished getting ready after falling asleep at the Pizzaplex. Shit... you hope that your boss wouldn't figure out about you falling asleep here. "Good morning, Starlight!" Sun said happily. "Good morning, Sun... you aren't going to tell Shawn that I..." you said not finishing your sentence. "That you fell asleep here. No! I'll keep the secret! Pinky promise!" Sun said holding his robotic pinky to you. You smiled and did a pinky promise with Sun. Sun had left to let you get ready and dressed for the day. Today was Somewhat the same but also different.
There was this child that you had never seen before. A blind little boy. You might've not known the child, but Sun and Moon did. They both had acted like they haven't seen the child in a long time. "Starlight! You haven't met this little boy!" Sun said grabbing your hand bringing you to the little boy. You saw the little boy had a white cane. Sun was making extra noise so that the little boy could hear him. "Hey there buddy..." you talked to the little boy. "Oh hi! What's your name?" the little boy asked. "My name is Y/n. What's yours buddy?" you asked.
"My name is Jacob!" the little boy said. "Sun told me how much he really likes you around!" the little boy added on. You could've sworn that you could've seen Sun blush softly. You watched as Sun played with Jacob very gently making you smile. Even though Sun and Moon were animatronics that shared the same body... they knew how to treat the children just right. Soon nap time came fast. You were sitting with Moon. Moon was watching over the children. You had realized over the little while that you had been working there than Moon really wasn't that bad.
He just seemed to have trust issues. You weren't sure why he had these trust issues, but you were slowly bringing down his walls. "So... How do you and Sun know the little blind boy, Jacob?" you asked Moon. "Jacob... was a child that first came to the Daycare 2 years ago..." Moon replied. "You guys seem to adore him" you said smiling. "Yeah... he's... a good kid..." Mood said. You continued to smile listening to him. "Never took you for the type to get attached to kids... no offense" you told Moon.
Moon stared at you. "Why shouldn't I? I can't like children?" he asked. "No! I didn't mean it that way I swear!" you told him. Moon let out a growl. "Of course you didn't..." he mumbled. Fuck... did you say something wrong? You didn't want to push him away. "I'm sorry Moon... if I said something wrong" you told him. Moon looked back at you. "Don't apologize... you didn't do anything wrong..." he said. You looked at the bell on his wrist. You reached over to Moon's wrist to touch the bell. Moon being the cautious attendant he was took his hand away. "O-Oh.. I'm sorry Moon" you mumbled looking away.

Why did Starlight try to touch my bell? 'Why'd you pull away Moon?? Starlight just wanted to touch the bell' Sun said. 'It doesn't matter Sun... Starlight shouldn't get close... I'm too dangerous' I replied into our shared mind space. 'You're not... dangerous' Sun replied sadly. I watched Starlight get up. "I'm going to go to the bathroom real quick I'll be right back..." Starlight told me. "Don't wake the children..." I told Starlight. I watched Starlight get up and walk out of the daycare. 'Starlight is... really kind and sweet...' Sun told me. 'Yeah... too kind and sweet for their own good...' I said in our mind.
Starlight soon came back into the daycare. I got up humming walking over the sleeping kids making sure not to step on them. My bells quietly making noises as I walked. 'Moon... you really care about Starlight. We both do! Why are you pushing them away...?' Sun asked in our shared head space. 'I need to push them away... I have every reason to. Even though I care about them... so much' I replied.
2nd P.O.V
You watched as Moon was treading around carefully making sure not to wake any of the kids. He seemed to be staying away from you now. You let out a sigh. You just wanted to understand Moon. Sun seemed to enjoy being around you but why was Moon constantly pushing you away? You wish you could figure out what happened to Moon. You were going to try asking other employees if they knew. But for now, mystery about Moon will stay in the shadows. Where they would stay for a long time.
Days going by slow like usual. The world feeling the same exact way every day. Everyone knew the story about the monsters that got trapped in Mt. Ebbot. Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS. One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell. Ever since then the monsters haven't been seen since. But that all changed 3 years ago. Monsters appeared back from the underground. They looked... awful in bad shape. What had happened to them while they were in the underground? When they appeared from the underground, they had an ambassador for them protecting them. Her name was Aliza. The first few months after monsters appeared was really rough for both humans and the monsters.
But, after a while monsters and humans were slowly trusting each other. The monsters needed to learn tons of stuff again after the terrible past 7 years they've had underground. But this story isn't about the monsters, right? It's about YOU. Your life wasn't exactly... the best. People constantly letting you down... and many other things. You were currently inside of your house not really wanting to do much. The day had been pretty boring. You pulled out your phone looking at it tired of seeing all your friends and family so happy with life when you weren't. But you'd never put your pain on others.
The familiar hum of the refrigerator, the soft rustle of leaves outside the window, the distant murmur of traffic—all these sounds blended into a comforting symphony of normalcy. You sank deeper into your favorite chair, the one with the worn cushions that had molded perfectly to your shape over the years. The soft glow of the lamp cast a warm circle of light, pushing back the shadows and creating a cocoon of peace around you.
The house was quiet, but it was a good kind of quiet. The kind that wraps around you like a soft blanket, where every creak of the floorboards and whisper of the wind feels like a gentle reminder that your home. You closed your eyes for a moment, letting the tranquility seep into your bones. Outside, the sky had deepened into twilight, the last traces of sunlight fading into a canvas of soft purples and blues. The streetlights flickered on one by one, casting pools of golden light on the pavement. The world outside was settling into the calm of evening, and so were you.
You reached for your book, its pages well-worn and comforting in your hands. The familiar scent of paper and ink filled your senses as you opened it to the bookmarked page. The words on the page seemed to dance in the soft light, telling stories of distant lands and adventures, of heroes and journeys. For a moment, you let yourself get lost in the narrative, the outside world fading away. The clock on the wall ticked steadily, marking the passage of time in its quiet, rhythmic way. Each second felt like a small affirmation that everything was as it should be. You were safe. You were home.
The house settled around you, the soft sighs of the walls and the gentle creaks of the floorboards a lullaby of familiarity. The air smelled faintly of lavender from the candle you had lit earlier, its flickering flame casting playful shadows on the walls. You took a deep breath, letting the peace of the moment wash over you. There was no rush, no urgency. Just the comforting embrace of solitude and the gentle rhythm of your own heartbeat. The world outside might be chaotic, unpredictable, and filled with uncertainty, but here, in this moment, you were exactly where you needed to be. And that was enough.
