If there’s one thing we can appreciate about tumblr is the lack of AI slop here. You go on instagram to watch some reels and 9 out of 10 are AI generated videos. You go on twitter and it’s AI generated “furry art” as far as the eye can see. The internet is becoming unbearable.
Here on Tumblr, we don't need AI to make slop. We do it ourselves
and not just mundane-grade slop, but -

These pictures invoke so much nostalgia in me. Sometimes it's good, you know? I think about days I sat in my car in the middle of a parking lot a read until the sun began to set. I remember days I rode in the back, flashlight cupped in my hands and back bent over a book as my eyes worked to catch every word they could.
I think about days laying in the grass, camping zip off cargo pants bunching around my legs, grass itching at my arms and catching in my hair. I think about giggling with my cousin and catching ladybugs and butterflies.
It's so easy to think of these times as the past. And perhaps it's repetitive of me, perhaps cliche, but truly I've slowed down this week. I've turned on my record player and dressed in cargo pants (jean now) and sweaters and put on my tall socks and converse as I sung along with the record. I've enjoyed the time I've slowed down to have. I'm reading in my car again, I'm finding places to sit outside with ice cream. I'm finding the beauty in life that I saw as a child. And you know what? I'm happy. I'm enjoying my days. I'm making my days aesthetic, doing things just because the idea of it is beautiful and it's silly and ridiculous and all sorts of insane, but you know what? Its worked. I'm living the aesthetic I want to and I'm getting more done than I ever have, smiling more this week than I have in months.
Live for the beauty in life, find that beauty again. Find the window in coffee shops while it's raining and pretend you're a writer or that smart college student that's about to find romance. Meet with friends and go for walks downtown, explore random parking garages. Have a picnic as the sun sets. Drink a coffee as you do school work and be the student you read about. Ride with the windows down when it's warm and pretend it's the 80s, with your music blasting, and your car a sweltering hunk of metal. We see these things as beautiful and aesthetic for a reason and as silly as it is, maybe it'll make you happy too, and isn't that happiness worth everything?
Jee, I wonder who Klee is with. Was the nuke a bit much, yes, but it looks funny so I kept it. I loved reading what people say, it gives me a good laugh. I’ll probably sprinkle some original art in between but as of now genshin has a vice grip on me.
