Friendly KomaHina reminder 3
So this is something I have only recently discovered, but-
Remember that there has been a controversy about who “poison”, Komaeda’s character song, refers to? (Specifically the line “I love and want to understand him more than anyone else”)
Some people argued that it was Makoto or Izuru, as the song came out with Ultimate Despair girls and was therefore supposed to play at that time. If you go to the comment section of the song, you will still find comments who argue about it…
Well no more.
Did you know that Megumi Ogata has confirmed that poison is in fact sung by Komaeda from Danganronpa 2? A day before the recording Absolute Hope Birthday, she tweeted this
“As Komaeda Nagito, I have only sung once. “Poison -deadly drug- ”. The theme song “progressive” (Sung by Aya Uchida and Megumi Oagata) for the Danganronpa side story “Despair girls” (I have sung)* as a couple (duett) (Basically she has also sung progessive with Aya Uchida as Makoto Naegi and Komaru Naegi) That time (with poison) it was Super Danganronpa 2′s Komaeda (who sung).
This time it’s 3′s (Despair Arc) Komaeda. Please enjoy the difference.
Followed by that tweet of her making Absolute Hope’s Birthday
So who could, in that game, be possible the “him” referred to “ I love and want to understand him more than anyone else?” I can only think of one. Hinata Hajime. Not that most of us weren’t aware of it, but this is actual proof that those words are from Super Danganronpa 2′s Komaeda, not Servant. There was no knowledge of Izuru and Naegi yet, as he died before that could be revealed. And before anyone can even bring it up, Poison was written by Megumi Ogata, so she knows exactly what she is talking about here.
作詞 =lyrics em:óu= Megumi Ogata’s singername/penname Enjoy!
* I think this is what she implied. Literally the sentence is “Danganronpa’s side story’s “Despair Girls” theme song “progressive” (sung= Aya Uchida and Megumi Ogata”)’s coupling.” Which is weird. But my japanese is also very rusty. Links: 1 2 3
