The White Album by Joan Didion ⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆

I really enjoyed the book and the reflections it includes. It truly makes you think about the psychological impact of losing a loved one, the emptiness left after their final breath. Didion refers to the "moral obligation of joy," highlighting how, in our hedonistic society, we are expected to hide our grief and suffering so as not to disrupt the well-being of those around us. However, the lengthy and exhaustive medical descriptions broke the flow of the story, in my opinion, making some chapters feel tedious.
