Hi, I just read your question to Unka Glen and I just want to congratulate you for getting into the college you wanted and also getting a new job! I myself know how it sucks to have family who just cannot be happy when something good happens to you and decides to turn it against you. I may not know you but I'm pretty sure you are a great person and I believe you will have a group of friends and mentors who will encourage and support you greatly in whatever you do.   I was speaking with a friend a few months ago about the stressors in my life, and being depressed and her advice to me I believe is the second best piece of advice I’ve ever received. She didn’t tell me that what I was feeling was either right or wrong nor did she baby me. She said, simply, “change your diet.” Nothing more. Nothing less.

  I started eating breakfast and being more conscious about what I was eating and could definitely feel a difference in my mood but I felt like any day I could slip back into my skipping meals habit and eating junk whenever I could. I’m also not exactly sure what’s really healthy and what isn’t. However, today I came across this really interesting book on nutrition in our home library this afternoon. So I’m really excited to learn and put into practice these tips on how to be healthy physically and mentally.
