This album though 🤩
Some tears feel like they set you free, and some feel like they come from an eternal reserve of sadness. Never-ending, ever-flowing.
Some of you know my grandma (Sito) passed away a little over a week ago. Today she would have been 90 years old. This woman was hands down the strongest being I’ve ever known. Her soul was gold. She’s lived a life so many of us would have been destroyed by. Not only did she survive extreme hardships but she didn’t let it make her bitter. She would nurture any friend or neighbor that would walk into her house and she did it with love and humor always. And of course the best home cooked meals 😌 She raised me like I was one of her own and losing her has been one of the most painful experiences to go through. And even though the heavens are celebrating her return it will never be the same here on earth. Ok I’m gonna stop now before I have another crying breakdown. Happy Birthday Sito 🌹 💜 I love you. https://www.instagram.com/p/COdQ4kblQIR/?igshid=82pkg9fqzp21
Rogier van der Weyden - The Descent from the Cross (c. 1435).

“I live a living death, my flesh is wounded, bleeding, cadaverized, my rhythm slowed down or interrupted, time has been erased or bloated, absorbed into sorrow […] I owe a supreme, metaphysical lucidity to my depression. On the frontiers of life and death, occasionally I have the arrogant feeling of being witness to the meaningless of Being, of revealing the absurdity of bonds and beings.”
- Julia Kristeva, Black Sun (1987).
