When he looks at you again, his shining eyes are blue once more, with their usual pinkish tint. He looks desperate.
"I don't want you to see me like this, my Dear..." he whispers, "behaving like a monster..."

He immediately pulls away and turns his back on you without a word.

Vamp Beta! I noticed you can move your rays, reminds me of a kitten wiggling its ears just so you know :3
Beta laughs at the curious remark and shakes his head slightly.
"Are you comparing me to a kitten, Dear? I don't think I'm even remotely similar, but it's cute."
He 'wiggles' his purple rays back and forth to emphasize his point, then smiles again, baring his fangs.
"They're really long, so sometimes I have to move them to avoid bumping into things," he explains, and after a moment adds, "and I'd hate to accidentally poke you with one of them..."

Beta slowly approaches you, never breaking eye contact.
“Let me see,” he whispers, taking your hand firmly, as if somehow preventing you from escaping.
An unsettling glow falls across your face as his pink eyes rest on you and examine the small wound on your hand.
“Poor thing…” he says sweetly, but his pupils dilate and he squeezes your wrist tighter.
Then gently kisses your palm.
No way for me to know how many anons are separate or repeats, and I couldn’t figure out how to fit an anon kissing his hand like a princess in… but anons (and me) giving sweetie Vamp!Beta all the kisses! I woulda squeezed in more anons but I’m terrible at keeping scale right with multiple people in one pic. (Mighta made beta too big…)

It was good back in the day, I guess? But with AO3 around now, it’s fallen pretty far behind. Plus, you could find fanfiction in all languages and in huge numbers, unlike AO3, which is mostly in english
The interaction was different, too. Comments (reviews) were everything; people got really involved with works, and there were forums and communities right on the site itself. It was """closer""" to a social media than an archive (but it IS an archive)
Obviously, it always depended on the fandom. Some had a huge amount of fics, and others only two or three if you were lucky

For those who don't know the song, that's the ending theme from Naruto (the very first one, if I remember correctly)
Naruto was also the first fandom I ever joined, and I was, like, really into it. So much so that I was a moderator on the biggest Spanish-speaking forum on Fanfiction.net

A while back, I read something along the lines of fnaf fans (who don't like dca) being annoyed because their main tags were flooded with dca, so I stopped using them at some point. I dunno if that was true tho
I've also never watched tsams or its related stuff, so idk what to tell you

Beta sighs again in your palms before you begin to scatter little kisses all over his face. He lets out little delighted giggles. It tickles! You can feel him melting under your lips, two of his hands lightly clasping your forearms.
He's incredibly overwhelmed, but there's no way he's going to ruin the moment.
"You're so sweet, Dear..." he says breathlessly. "Thank you..."
His eyes remain closed, savoring the brief moment for as long as it lasts.
